  1. This dream is simply about a problem that springs up in your home life. Just like you thought in the dream, you should have the same approach to solving it in real life: just deal with it and correct it.

The fact that it was a weed that had grown through your carpet is an interesting symbol, though. It may be to show you that a "seed" was sown for this problem at some point...and now it's sprouted/grown into the plant you saw. What I'm saying is that this could be something that started in a different season.

  2. Hello, phrasy -

When my dreams take place in a car, that often means that the dream relates to something going on right now in my waking life - or, the dream is about something in the very near future, usually within a week.

When I read your dream, I felt that the dog is represents a person from your waking life that's attacking/harassing you. This person should be under someone else's authority (represented by the old man). You were attacked twice in the dream, so you should also have two interactions with this person in real life. Since the dog bit the same spot, this person would most likely bother you regarding the same issue both times.

Your response to the dog in the dream should be the same way you feel in real life when the dream manifests; i.e., you should not be afraid.

You also followed up with the old man after dealing with the dog. In real life, this would be your interaction with the person in authority over the dog.

The dog dying in the dream is to show you that this issue won't continue.

  3. I feel that this dream is about experiencing some kind of loss - represented by the falling out/crumbing of your teeth. Your hysterical crying in the dream may be exaggerated when the dream manifested - assuming you haven't already experienced a loss that makes you feel similarly in your waking life.

Teeth can represent a lot of things - from literal teeth, to structure/stability in our lives, to our ability to express ourselves, and even people. I won't make any guesses as to what they represent in your own dream.

I will say that I believe the stone-like tooth that you held in your hand represents Jesus. He is our Rock, the chief Cornerstone. No matter what the loss of the teeth represent, the message of the dream is that He is still with you.

In the last part of the dream, you were given a Bible...and you felt a sense of calm. I believe this is showing you that you can find His peace in His Word when this dream manifests.

Pray about this dream and ask God to show you, personally, where it applies in your waking life.

He did however think that it stemmed from reading a story about someone manipulating a church. I don't know if that could be reason for the dream.

I think that could be it.

My next question was going to be if he was watching or reading anything that had a witchcraft feel to it.
Another way to look at it would be to check if he felt that anyone in his waking life stood out as manipulating him.

If not, the dream is most likely about the story he read.

In my dream I was really anxious and worried on the inside but knew I couldn't show anyone how uneasy I was feeling and that I had to keep praying in order to remain calm.

Is there any area of your waking life, right now, where you feel similarly to how you felt in the dream?

Also - keep in mind that your boss (in the dream) may represent a different person.

The main action of the dream (the kissing) is almost certainly symbolic for "intimacy" in a relationship - that is, engaging someone (or even something) in a closer or deeper way than normal. Kissing each other could just be about an exchange where you both leave knowing each other more personally. And if your boss represent a "thing" (an aspect of your job, for instance), the act of kissing could be all about your experience with that area.

Dream 1:  I am in a local community theatre with church members and also the theatre and music director from when I used to do plays there. The church members are discussing semantics of religion (i.e. God's real name etc... much the way actual church goes) then I see a cast list and I  am cast as a narrator in a biblical musical. It is a lead singing role. I am to share it with another person. I leave to go to the restroom. The rest of the dream is of me trying to find my way back to the theatre.  I'm trying to call the music director but cannot reach her. I am going all through the old school talking with old professors I've had trying to get back there.  Then I wake.

    For the first dream:
Where in your waking life did you share a particular appointment with another person - most likely in church?
Did you take a break from that?
Is this something you're presently seeking to return to?

  7. Also going to depend upon what else was going on in the dream - like, were you driving the truck? Was anyone with you? What did the lion do? Feelings throughout? Etc...

If you haven't already done so, I would recommend reading through this post from Mia regarding interpreting your dreams. Kind of like the questions I'm asking, she explains about starting with main actions in the dream, then feelings, and then finally checking symbols for support of the interpretation.

    /t18163-how-to-interpret-a-dream-read-this-before-interpreting

Without asking those kinds of things, interpreting solely off of a symbol can leave you with an interpretation that's way off.

  8. I'm only now seeing these dreams, v3ryan. Both have some great imagery...

Do you recall how you felt within each of these dreams? It's been a few months, so it's possible that the manifestations for both dreams have come and gone.

For the first dream - Whether it's positive or negative is going to depend upon how you felt about the interaction between the water and the tiny flame.

For the second dream - I feel it's simply about a situation that, while you may have started it, you tried to get under control and extinguish (resolve). The dream is about your struggle while handling the situation - and how the flame was able to grow while you struggled with its effect on the surroundings. The promise of the dream is that you were able to ultimately put the fire out.

This could be about an interaction with a person. It may also be about a struggle with some kind of entity - like a business or government entity.

I was leaving my Grandmother's house and I was in my Grandmother's kitchen. There was family there and I heard them say a few things to me while I put food in the oven. For some reason every pot and pan I put in the oven would get burnt. I heard my husband say to our son, " You have to save something for the new baby". I keep putting pots and pans in the oven and even a baby sippy cup. I for some reason couldn't pull the pots and pans out of the oven fast enough. My brother appears in the kitchen and he says something about my cooking and we end up physically fighting. Eventually my brother stops, because I threw harder punches than what he thought I could.

Let's start with your main action in this dream: Putting items into the oven...but being unable to get them out fast enough to prevent burning.

    Two things:
    1. What were your feelings within the dream as you repeated this action?

    2. What are you repeatedly trying to do in your waking life where you are unsuccessful due to timing - and where you feel similar to the dream?

Next: Where does this action lead you to a real life struggle with someone else? You physically struggled with your brother in the dream...and you eventually got him to stop struggling with you.

Assume that your brother is symbolic for someone (or something). Where has your initial struggle with something (the cooking/burning pots and pans) resulted in you "fighting" with someone else?

Since this is a recent dream, you should be able to identify something you're dealing with recently where your feelings match how you felt in the dream.

I'm not going to post my assumption - but I may have an idea. I'll wait for you to tell me where the feelings match up.

In this dream I was very upset, because my mother-in-law didn't seem to know her place and my husband wasn't doing enough to defend me.

I believe you've summarized what this dream is about in this last sentence. This is the meaning of the dream.

If that behavior is typical of your mother-in-law, then she is literal; otherwise, she represents someone else from your waking life.

The setting of the bedroom can be to show you that this is someone getting into your personal business.

I believe that the knives represent something spoken - a threat or comment intended to cause pain. There were two knives - one sharp, the other a butter knife. If I had this dream, I would watch for this person to have two different complaints/issues/comments - one that could actually hurt you, and the other being something that doesn't bother you.

In the end, the mother-in-law acted for the sake of her grandson, which is likely how that person would act in real life. For the sake of your son, they won't hinder your plans to leave - and by "leave," it could simply mean to separate yourself from the situation.

In this dream, Chris Brown's role was just to help you pack up. He could still represent your husband; he may also represent some other person who helps you out - or even help from the Lord.

  11. Hopelite wrote:
Who do you think Chris Brown represents in these dreams? My husband is in dreams 5 and 6 with Chris and me, so it can't be him or can it? Hmm...

Chris Brown definitely can represent your husband - especially if the actions of him in the dream can fit for a similar behavior in real life. In a dream, a person's actions and emotions are often exaggerated...so keep that in mind. So...if he were angry in a dream, he may be upset in real life - but very likely nowhere near how it was displayed in the dream.

And just because a person represents one thing/person in one dream, it doesn't mean that they're a guaranteed symbol for that in every dream! For instance, when my brother shows up in my dreams, he can represent Jesus...or he can represent himself...or even just another Christian brother. It depends on what they do within the dream.

Here's a quick read with some examples when it comes to people:
    /t8474-common-themes-people

So, for your 3rd dream...I would take a step back and summarize the main message of the dream: Someone looking to you for help prior to an upcoming event in their life. When you had this dream, you would ask yourself if anyone stands out from your waking life where this would fit. If your husband had something coming up that you were aware of, his looks for help within the dream could be so simple as needing you to pray for him regarding the event. On that same note: He's not speaking to you in the dream, so he's probably not asking for help in real life. This would be where God is showing you that he needs help, but isn't necessarily asking for it.

  12. Hello, LimeLemon -

I won't claim to have the interpretation for your dream, but I will share with you a few thoughts that I have...

The amber/sepia coloring for the scene makes me think that this is either about something relate to your past - OR - that this is about a real life setting/situation that has an antiquated or possibly traditional feel to it.

Did you have any feelings related to the three things you listed early on in the dream (guarded window, radiator, faux leather couch)? The only piece I'll comment on for now is the window with the bars on it: Windows can represent the prophetic, so it's possible that this place or situation is "guarded" in regards to that.

The guy in the dream is very likely an exaggeration for another person from your waking life. In fact, everything about him in the dream is probably exaggerated (attractiveness, strength, status, etc.). However, this should help you identify who this person symbolizes, as that person will have similar traits. This is likely someone in a position of authority.

Did you have any feelings about the Ensure or the Milk Ice? You opted to eat the milk ice in the dream - did you choose between them, or did the Ensure have a different thought associated with it?

The 2nd half of the dream is about you and this person coming into a commitment, together. This isn't about a literal marriage - it's another kind of commitment. Furthermore, this person may or may not be literally married in real life; the acknowledgement of his being married (within the dream) by the two of you would mirror that in real life: i.e, this person already has a commitment that they are engaged in. As an example, this person may be some kind of mentor or elder that already has responsibilities to oversee.

Just like in the dream, the thought of the real life commitment should make you question how it's going to work out. You'll likely have a similar "roll with it" approach in real life as well.

The bit about speaking each others' names, to me, is about each side's ability to engage in this commitment. This person had no issues; you were struggling with it (and, internally, were confused by it). In real life, I would expect there to be a struggle for you.

The red string: Were you frightened within the dream, or only after you awoke? Any other feelings regarding that?

  13. My thoughts are that this dream is about a future, specific event.

Your child being older in the dream than he is right now makes me think that this is in the future - though, unless his age was specifically revealed to you within the dream, I'll just say that it's sometime in the future. Also be open to your child being symbolic for someone else.

The setting of the indoor community pool leads me to believe that this is symbolic of a church or a church-related event.

It's not clear why, exactly, you got so angry within the dream...but, when this dream manifests in real life (if it hasn't already), you should feel similar to how you did in the dream. I will say, though, that emotions in dreams are often exaggerated - so, keep that in mind for any of your dreams.

The 2nd half of the dream is about you leaving - and I believe that this desire will be literal when the dream manifests. You'll want to leave this situation, but you'll find that you're unable to do that right when you want to.

Finally, the detail about the bus being in your way: Not to focus too much on one detail, but buses in my own dreams usually represent a group or activity that brings together a group of people for a similar purpose. I would expect that you won't be able to leave right when you wish because it would interrupt something related to a group of people.

**My own thought, here: The pool/water theme could literally represent a baptism...if you had such an event coming up.

How long does it usually take for someone to respond to dreams? I'm new here.

Unfortunately, this site is pretty inactive compared to what it once was. There's lots of dreams that don't get interpreted simply because there's so few people available (or willing) to invest the time to interpret them.

Mia has left this as a guide for those looking to interpret their own dreams:
    /t18163-how-to-interpret-a-dream-read-this-before-interpreting

I won't claim to have a full interpretation for your dream, but I can share with you what I would look for in my waking life if I had a similar dream:

I believe that the dream is an exaggeration that represents someone else's interest in you - and that it reveals (or warns) more about their personality than what you see at the onset of the relationship.

The initial setting of the bedroom is oftentimes symbolic for intimacy. Since I feel the emotions and actions in the dream are exaggerated, I will say that "intimacy" can simply mean that the person's actions or the situation is just about opening up or revealing personal things. Getting to know someone more so than you already had. If I had this dream, I would look for someone in my waking life to become more "intimate" with me - to share something personal about themselves/their life. When that stands out to me, I would watch for the rest of the dream to unfold in relation to that person.

The physical expressions and feelings of love in the dream, to me, should manifest from that other person as moments where they cause you to feel similarly - although, again, it should be exaggerated in the dream...so it won't be to that extreme in real life.

The transition from the bedroom to the barn... Unfortunately, I believe this represents a move away from intimacy in the relationship - at least as it shows the intentions of the other person. The fact that you were without clothes, wearing only his comforter, can symbolize a place where you're vulnerable. I believe this dream may be a warning if it hasn't yet manifested.

Finally, the change in his demeanor in the dream (getting angry, cursing, firing someone) would symbolize part of his personality that was previously concealed - and not revealed to you. In the dream, it didn't set well with you and you ended up walking away. In real life, I would expect that this person would similarly show a side of themselves that you do not agree with - and would subsequently cause you to separate yourself from them.

  15. A childhood home oftentimes represents things from our past.

A horse sanctuary should symbolize a "safe place." The actions of the horses in the dream - and the feelings you had about them - make me think that they represent people.

I believe that the baby horse in a purse that you ended up feeding will represent a person as well - someone whom you can nurture.

Between this dream and your Squirrel/Fox dream, I want to ask: Are you currently seeking a church (or similar) at this time?

  16. Is there an area in your waking life where you feel a little lost or uncertain? When I have dreams of driving/being in cars, they're usually about something going on in my life right now - or, in the very near future.

Whatever area of your waking like that this dream applies, I believe that the dream is meant to show you of a divine encounter while in this place. I believe that the two animals in your dream are symbolic for two people. The fox biting the squirrel shows the threat of one person to the other.

Within your dream, you screamed for the squirrel to run. While the fox was distracted, the squirrel ran up the grass wall and escaped. I believe this represents your intervention in the situation: It could be as simple as giving the threatened person advice, warning, or even praying for them within that situation. The promise in the dream is that the squirrel is able to get away from the threat - and that that the chasing fox will be unable to catch up.

Finally, the dream ends with you driving off and finding your way back home. I feel that this shows the event with the "animals" to be an isolated situation - one that you're only involved in temporarily.

  17. Hello, Tatisha -

My thoughts are that the three eagles represent the Trinity. You comment to the person with you to record or take pictures, to me, indicates that this is about a memorable experience - one that you'll be able to look back upon with the same emotions experienced in the dream. Likewise, your feelings of amazement in the dream should mirror how you feel in real life when the dream manifests.

I think this dream is prophetic for an amazing, personal encounter with God.

I had a dream where I was going to my wedding. I recall shaving my face in the mirror and I can see that my eyes are missing, but I can still see what I am doing. I'm going through my closet and I'm having a hard time finding the right clothes to wear. I then start searching for my shoes. Everyone is downstairs in the car waiting for me and I start going ballistic looking all over my closet and unable to find my shoes. Then the dream ended.

Seeing yourself in the mirror is about self-realization. You were able to see that you were missing your eyes. This should represent an area of your life where you realize that you're unable to see something in the natural. It's worth pointing out that you were not blind (which would mean something else); you just lacked the tools in the natural to be able to see or, perhaps, discern. It could even represent having to deal with something by faith or not being able to see the outcome in advance.

The rest of your dream is about your struggle to find clothes and your shoes. Clothing can be about being anointed or equipped for something. Shoes are similar, and have added symbolism about having the peace to do something.

You've shared a couple things about your waking life where you are anxious/don't have peace. When we have dreams like this that don't end with resolution (finding your shoes), they're still meant to be comfort and direction from God. It's one way He tells us that he knows where we are - and that we can (continue to) seek him while we're in the situation.

Finally - the situation of the dream (going to your wedding) may not necessarily be about your literal marriage. A wedding can represent something else from your waking life that's a huge commitment or significant relationship - even a business one. To know what the dream's speaking about, consider your feelings throughout the dream and match them to where you feel that way in an area of your waking life.

  19. Driving a vehicle/being in a vehicle is a common symbol within dreams. In nearly all of my own dreams, being in/driving a vehicle tells me that this dream is about something going on in my right right now - or, it will be prophetic for something in the very near future (usually no longer than a week).

In your dream, you were looking at your cellphone - which may represent something that's distracting you in real life.

Even though the situation is serious within the dream, the message to you is positive: You were suddenly made aware of the impending danger/accident, and you were able to come to a safe stop without getting into a crash. I feel that this is about avoiding a disaster/accident with another person from your waking life. The red sports car could represent a client (though it could be someone else that comes to mind). Both of you veering to the side of the road may be to show you that you both will slow down/come to a stop. It's positive because it shows that the other party is also willing to calm down or respond appropriately to the situation.

I don't tend to focus too much on specific details in dream such as colors unless they are really impressed upon me within the dream as being an important detail. If it fits, the red color of the vehicle could be to show you something about the person/party this relates to: Perhaps someone that's generally an angry/hostile person. The fact that the car was a sports car could indicate something about them as well - perhaps a young person or someone that's wealthy (depending upon the type of car and if you had any feelings about it within the dream).

For numbers - they're almost always literal...or, very very close to literal. You may literally see the number 3000 in your waking life as a sign to you that the dream has manifested.

Or - to share from my own experience with larger numbers: I once had a dream where I was shown that $500 was taken from my account. A few days later in real life, my credit card number was stolen and used to charge $480-something. The 500 in my dream was very close to literal. The same may be said about the 3000 in your own dream.

  20. Hello, John -

It's normal to feel confused after waking up from a dream - especially if it's full of things that don't make sense. When interpreting your dreams, always keep in mind how you felt within the dream - even if those feelings don't fit how you'd feel in your waking life. Feeling can help you identify what area of your life the dream pertains to.

Dreams about your hair may relate to your thoughts. Having long hair - and, subsequently, cutting it - can be dealing with something that's been on your mind for a long time.

In your dream, you were cutting your hair in the bathroom while looking in the mirror - and then realizing that the haircut was pretty bad. Seeing yourself in the mirror can symbolize your own understanding of yourself - introspection. After cutting your own hair, you realized it looked bad. Is there something in your life that you've had on your mind for some time - and that you've been dealing with yourself - where you've realized that your own attempts to understand/sort out your thoughts have left you feeling similar to your feelings in the dream?

Finally, going outside and cutting your hair there could mean two different things, depending upon how you felt about the action: If you went outside, finished cutting your hair, and felt good about the outcome, then it could be about looking outside of your previous circumstances (the bathroom/internalizing) to finish working through what's on your mind - with a positive outcome. If your feelings didn't change (or got worse), then the act of going outside is just about leaving the place of introspection.

You shared about your real life situation, and the dream may apply to that. However, if you realize that the feelings and actions relate to a different area of your life, consider that the dream may be about something else.
