  1. It would not hurt to do some revisiting on David and Jacob in the Word. The Lord may be desiring to reveal something to you about them that applies to your waking life - which is what I would take away from the second dream.

In the first dream, there's a couple details that stand out to me. The first is where Jacob was wading through sludge. I see that as working through some kind of negative emotions - something like depression or discouragement. The Jacob in your dream may be literal; but, if the action doesn't apply to that literal person, then consider if the name "Jacob" is literal, but that the person may be symbolic for someone else with the same name from your waking life.

The second detail is the seeking of the flower with metal, sharp thorns. You stated that it seemed like a family flower. I was thinking that it could represent a trait that you see in that side of the family. Within the dream, you thought of your daughter and wondered if the flower would prick her. In real life, are you concerned that something associated with that side of the family could manifest in your daughter's life? That may be what the flower represents.

  2. Is everything you wrote from the dream? I'm just wanting to make sure I understand if you're sharing the dream along with a real life event...or if the portion where you started the cycle followed by leg cramps was also part of the dream.

If the dream ended where you looked at your shin and you had leg cramps in real life following the dream, then the leg cramps are the manifestation of the dream. You were told about the cramping in advance in your dream.

I had a dream at the end of last week of year 2016 about a tall banana tree bent over by a wind (it was not totally fell down but was lying on a fence)My brother was standing beside me in our Fathers home backyard and I asked him "how many bunches on this banana tree" he said 5 bunches which is weird as banana can only have 1 bunch. The banana were big enough for harvest though not yellow in colour to indicate ripe. We were conversing we need to harvest quickly to prevent insect from destroying the banana as we found a couple on insect on the top bunch.

    Hello, Akinpeluat -

I believe that this dream is about a person that is at a place of indecision. I feel that the tree represents a person that is "on the fence." The 5 bunches on the tree may represent people connected to that person - like, 5 children or people dependent on that person. Collectively, a family. This could be a family that is unsaved that you're ministering to.

The insects, to me, are a threat that would rob the tree of its fruit. The insects on the top bunch should be something negative you notice going on with the eldest person - bad habits, negative thinking, etc...something that is a threat to their coming to Christ.

I had another dream about 2 days ago.I was sitting in an office with some of my old colleagues who are engineers ad some of them are now full time pastors. I had a thought in the dream that this was my new opportunity to quickly download certain information from the computer to my memory stick (usb) As I was about to work on the computer, I noticed the mouse was initially responding and I saw the cursor on the two architectural closed doors which shows the cursor on my computer being moved right and lift in order to get it sorted to allow me download on my usb. Could this be a reflection of the job I have been seeking for the past 1 year? I am over qualified for the current job iam doing but I have not got a job that is suitable for me since Jan 2016.

For this dream - I do not think it relates directly to attaining a job. The main action in the dream is that you were responding to an opportunity to quickly gain knowledge. I believe that the dream is about you seeking and receiving revelation on something.

I will have to wait on your last dreams - or, perhaps someone else will respond before I do. I'm short on time to look at them at this moment.

  4. Snakes typically represent something negative - a threat of some kind, a problem, a fear, a health issue, something that causes anxiety, etc.

In your dream, the snakes were revealed to you after you stood up from the couch. Following the reveal, the snakes were dealt with by someone else. After that, you continued on in your conversations.

Is there anything in your waking life that has given you any cause for anxiety around the time you had this dream? "Anxiety" may even be too strong a word - it could be something that bothers you or nags at you.

The message of the dream is that whatever the snakes represent, they will be taken care of for you by someone else.

My own thoughts here, and not necessarily an interpretation: The action of standing up to talk within your dream makes me think of a situation where "speaking" may bring more focus on yourself than just a typical conversation. My own thinking is likening it to sharing something online - like posting on a message board. Having someone else stand up when talking with you could be their posted response.

  5. Hello, PositionedforBlessings -

Snakes often represent some kind of threat.
Bedrooms usually represent someone's private/personal life or intimacy.
Your thoughts about your parents' room ("like a hoarder's room) could represent holding onto something - in a negative way. Something like Unforgiveness comes to mind.

The first part of the dream could be to alert you to pray for your parents, if applicable.

The portion where you were in your own room, suddenly awakening, could be where you recognize a similar threat in your own life. To say to yourself "the snake could have come in here when I was sleeping" could be where you recognize a moment where your guard was down or where you were vulnerable.

The actions of the snake in dreams like these can show you if this threat has actually manifested. For instance, if the snake bites, the threat has often come to pass. If all that happens is that you see the snake, then it's about being made aware of the threat.

  6. I cannot tell you why you've had such a dream, but I will say this much:

The feelings you had at different points within the dream are about the feelings you had in real life before and after having the dream.

The floating portion with the scripture reading is prior to the dream - the encounter in the store and your subsequent seeking of God.

The demonic/negative half of the dream is about your feelings after actually having the dream.

It's unique in that you wouldn't have had the negative feelings portrayed within the dream manifest in real life if you hadn't had the dream, itself. I've only had that happen once in my life, and there really was no fruit from it.

I agree with Mico - disregard it.

In the dream I just felt suspicious and puzzled by her motives.

    Hi, Exo -

I started with this last line because I feel this is key for you identifying the dream's real life application. You should feel the same way that you did in the dream when this manifests.

Some other thoughts: I don't think that the girl (or her mother) are literal. I think that they represent someone else, and when that person brings their "gifts," your feelings of suspicion will clue you in that they aren't to be trusted/received. Being symbolized by this girl from your past, I feel, is to help you recognize this gift-giver as someone to be cautious about.

The detail of the mis-signed name reinforces (to me) that this person isn't literal.

As for the "gifts" - they may be words (flattery or the like).

Your older son may or may not be literal, if it fits. I think what's important is that he was unaware of the situation. You may be the only one who is.

  8. Hello, Keith -

I think that your dream is less about the hatching of the chickens, and more about your feelings about the situation.

As the first chicken began to hatch in the fridge, you felt uncertainty about what you were witnessing. This should match your feelings in the real life application. From the dream, you'll likely have doubts about the circumstances you're in as new things begin to "hatch" in real life.

In the dream, you removed the single egg and then watched as the chicken broke out of it. Then you witnessed the other eggs hatching in the fridge. I feel that this is God giving you encouragement about new things happening in your waking life. As you deal with a single event, you'll recognize others beginning to come to fruition - and the initial experience will help you to handle the ones that follow.

  9. How did you feel about what you saw within the dream?

I will say that in my own dreams, cats are almost always symbolic of people - and usually my family.  And when my mother is present in my dreams, she usually represents the Holy Spirit.

To me, an egg is something with potential.

Do you presently see another family member that's bringing forth something new in their (or your whole family's) life?  This could be something that they're praying for as well.

In the dream, the egg began to hatch immediately after you joined in to help.  If you recognize where this applies in your family, you should also see immediate results as soon as you get involved - be it in prayer or in a tangible way.

  10. My apologies to Dreamster (and others) as well. I really only come here, anymore, when I've received notification of a PM - to which I will take the time to respond.

In absence of leadership, though, I'm no longer interested in helping keep this on life support when everything else indicates this has been abandoned.

There's plenty of good resources here, however, to help a dreamer further understand what God may be speaking to them in their dreams. I believe that Mia's intent was to move away from 3rd party interpretation and, instead, move people more towards seeking God directly for understanding their dreams. Since she rarely returns, it may be safe to say that she's ok with the way her site is used.

This is a very annoying website. Some dreams are answered quite quickly and others are never answered at all.

    In response to this:
One of the first things we're taught is to NOT offer an interpretation just because a dream appears to be ignored. The last thing we want to do is suggest something that comes from our flesh instead of the Holy Spirit's leading. If your dream doesn't have a response, it's likely that it's been read and the reader doesn't have anything to share. There's no fault on the interpreter for that!

One more comment on the amount of time this actually takes...
A thorough effort on the part of the interpreter takes time. A dream is read, prayed about, and then a response is written - which may take 15 minutes or more, depending on the dream. That can be very time consuming! What's more, a lot of interpretations are offered with little follow-up from the dreamer, which makes the effort not seem worth it. There aren't a whole lot who are willing to spend hours of their time each week doing something where the one being served leaves you wondering if you were right or not - and where you get zero affirmation/confirmation from the elders in leadership over you.

This isn't meant to have a bitter tone, so please don't read it as such. It is, however, meant to draw attention to what goes overlooked in a ministry like this - and that there is a very real drain on those who would otherwise love to serve!

  11. Hello, Writer4Him -

In my own dreams, cats almost always symbolize people. My thoughts on your dream are that the kittens symbolize a group of people that are cared for, but are hungry - perhaps hungry for spiritual nourishment.

Have you been introduced to a small group that's in need of leadership or a teacher?

I can't say if the group is adults or children. Is there someone in your life/household that you'd be concerned about as far as their interactions with this group (symbolized by the puppy)? If so, the good news from your dream is that this person will grow into a protective role over the group - and likely over one person in particular.

  12. Is there anything that your believing friend is waiting on?

In the dream, the fire alarm went off in this person's apartment, so I would think that there's something that they're concerned about in real life - or something that could give them cause for alarm. A natural reaction to an alarm is to panic; however, within the dream, you understood that there was a protocol to wait until help arrived., and you followed it. In real life, it may be understood that it's best to wait on God to provide help in whatever this person's circumstance may be.

The next event in the dream was physical (visual) threat of a fire via the smoke from the carpet. It's interesting that the fire isn't actually seen - the smoke is more of a threat of a fire, or the symptoms of it. I would think that whatever your friends circumstances may be, that the smoke from the carpet is something that really makes the threat seem real, and the temptation to react may become greater.

The positive thing is that you all waited until help arrived. And help will arrive at the proper time. Your friend will be led to a safety and escape the threat of their circumstances.

It's also interesting to me that one of the non-believing friends is present during this. This situation could speak to them about how you two, as believers, respond to situations like this - and to see God's provision come through.

For the cat detail: In my dreams, cats are almost always representative of people in my life, from family to coworkers. You said that the cat belongs to friends 2 and 3, so I think that the cat represents a person that's a common connection between the two. The skinniness of the cat in the dream could turn that detail a couple ways: The person that's a common connection could literally be very skinny; or, since you noted that it was "almost like a different cat," it could be a person that reminds you of someone else that they know.

The overheard conversation among the firefighters could simply be to show that you'll eventually understand the source of the original threat.

The other dreams didn't have anything else to them except for the fact that I remembered they were both pregnant. I could be wrong, but this makes me feel like the other two dreams were to bring even more attention to my own dream of pregnancy.

I'm glad you said this, Daisy, because this was my impression as I was reading through your post. I think that the first and last dream are more like signposts for you to serve as confirmation that the dream that's about you has manifested. Those two dreams could simply be about something new in their lives - or in the lives of people that they represent if they aren't literal.

For your dream, I'm sure you'll feel the same surprise and excitement in real life. Remembering your age and your husband's procedure within the dream may symbolize "rational reasoning" as to why this sort of thing wouldn't happen to someone in your circumstances; however, you shrugged off your age concern in the dream, and this may represent the surge of faith in real life that says, "Yes! This IS going to happen in my life!"

The only thing I'll add is a question for you: Has there been any area or desire in your life where your thoughts and feelings match up with the thought in your dream of "I thought this part of my life was over?" If you've been thinking that way about something in particular, that may be what the dream is related to.

Now I am wondering, if this dream was symbolic for us leaving, what did the part of this dream where everyone who remained got shot and none made it out alive mean??
    Thanks!

First off, I want to say that I'm hopeful that the shooting isn't literal...

In dreams, guns/bullets/the action of shooting can represent hurtful words. It's possible that the shooting in the dream symbolizes something spoken that has a huge, negative impact on the body in that church - something severely disruptive. In that case, your family was saved from having to experience that first hand.

The shooting in the dream could also have a broader meaning for something that even causes the church to close its doors.

I wondered if this was symbolic of maybe where they are in their walk but not sure.

I think you've got the meaning of it, here.

Would it fit for this person, literally, or do you think they symbolize someone else?
A question for yourself might be why God would show you this in your dream.

  16. Interests can change over the course of your life. While it's important to have things in common with who you date (and eventually marry), not having your relationship with Christ in common is asking for strife.

You never have God's best if you compromise on this. Now, He is gracious and may very well lead a non-believer into relationship with him, but you just should not risk that.

This is actually pretty serious. What if you were to get into a relationship with someone that continually caused you to compromise your beliefs? Who knows how far away you could fall by not sharing that one relationship that matters for eternity? Again, definitely not worth the risk.

  17. Hello, ManiH -

Snakes are often used as symbols for some type of "threat." I've had dreams where they represent threatening people, threatening words, illness and even a threat from an inanimate object (an electric saw, in this case).

I'm leaning toward the snakes representing people. The Black Mamba is the greatest threat, and it definitely has power/influence over others. Given that it's eating another snake, it's also a threat to those that are similar to it.

My thoughts on the garden in your dream is that it's representative of an area of your life which you're responsible over. It may be work, your home, ministry - any place that's your responsibility. In relation to the snakes, I'd say work or ministry (which may be one in the same). The detail of it being "unkempt" should reflect on how you view this in real life.

Given these two details, where in your life are you dealing with so many dangerous/threatening people or issues that it's nearly record-breaking in your perception?

  18. In this dream, I was at a place (a store) that often symbolizes a place of ministry for me (usually this site). It was like I was passing through the area when the events took place. I stood outside this building and saw the sky grow very dark like a storm was coming.

Employees and customers began to come out of the store to see what was going on with the weather. They looked at the sky, but they did not recognize that the threat was greater than the approaching storm that they could see now. Almost all of them went back into the store to go about their business.

I remained outside to watch the storm roll in. The sky and clouds were so dark that you wouldn't be able to see anything among them - but, I was able to make out a funnel cloud in the distance. When I saw that, I went into the store.

A crowd of employees and customers were surrounding the Customer Service desk at the front of the store. There was a manager-type person behind the desk speaking. I cut through the crowd and interrupted the manager to say that the threat was greater than they thought and that everyone should be directed to seek shelter within the store. When the manager gave the word to do so, the crowd did as she instructed. I went back outside.

The funnel cloud approached the store, and somehow I did battle with it. I didn't defeat it, but it didn't touch the store or hurt me. Eventually, it left the area. The sky was still very dark, but there was a tiny gap/slit in the clouds that exposed the brightest blue sky behind them. I returned to the store and let the manager know that the threat had passed. Then, I wandered through the store to seek out my siblings, who apparently had been amongst the crowd that had taken shelter.

  19. I'm not a fan of who he was, either. But, I don't think the trigger should be pulled unless he's in violation. We really need to give him the opportunity to show that he's going to follow the rules. I understand that he was banned, but does that mean he never gets a second chance?

  20. Hello, Ispeaktheword -

My thoughts on your dream are that the Eggs are similar to Seeds. From a symbolic sense, the eggs could represent a prophetic word or the like.

The sisters could be literal. Or, they could be sisters in the Lord.

The action of taking the eggs, cracking them open in their mouths, and then revealing the yolk reminded me of interpretation. Providing revelation for something.

I think that the two people and the two eggs are literal in that you should have two similar interactions with two different people - both of which are able to help you.

  21. Hi, Daisy -

Driving a vehicle in a dream is often about what's going on in your life right now - or in the very near future.

To give someone a ride is to include something in your life right now. You're the driver, they're the passengers...so, you're the one still in authority or control.

So...what two things are you about to add to your life right now where one makes you feel safe, and the other causes you fear/anxiety?

In your dream, the source of fear overcame your source of peace. Your real life emotions should follow suit.
