  1. In this dream, I was at home. What felt like my house in the dream looked like my parents' house. The dining room was in disarray with piles of stuff belonging to my sister - belongings of hers that seemed like they were staged for her to move elsewhere. In real life, she has some things in storage in the basement that she's gradually moving into her own place.

In the first part of the dream, the overall feeling was like I was ready to defend the house against some kind of attack from outside. There was no visible threat, but I felt like there could be an attack, so I was prepared for it.

Next, I'm looking in my fridge, and I see a lot of ice cream treats - like ice cream bars on sticks, all individually wrapped. In real life, this is the treat of choice for my stepfather. The fridge isn't full of them, but there's a lot - like, at least 40-50 of them. Then, I check out the freezer - it's full of them, too. There's probably more in the freezer than in the fridge. The overall feeling for this was positive. When I saw the stash in the freezer, I felt that I should move the ones from the fridge up to the freezer where the temperature is colder. The ones in the fridge hadn't melted or anything. The dream ends with me beginning to combine them. I was also meticulous about stacking the individual bars neatly on top of each other - not just piling them into the freezer.

  2. Exactly what Dreamster said.

Some people are good about replying once they've been offered an interpretation, and others never say a word.

There's also the issue of resources. There's only a few of us, and even then we aren't all here consistently. Life happens and takes away from what free time we have to participate. Depending on the dreams, if I have a free hour, I may only be able to respond to 4-6 posts, max. And I rarely have the time, lately.

And then there's the dream, itself. If I don't feel that I have something to share or a question to ask, I'm not going to force an interpretation that could ultimately lead to confusion.

  3. Is there a "new thing" going on at your church or in an area of ministry that your husband is also helping with? To be fixing a door could be about making something accessible or inviting.

The aggressive, long-haired man must be someone (or a group) that's opposed to what your husband is doing. The promise of the dream is that the attack will end up turned upon itself, and your husband will be untouched by it.

  4. I'm driving down a road that I take from my parents' place to my own house. In the dream, I'm not very far from their place. I drive past a big house that that sits at the base of a hill. There's a local collage on the top of the hill. These things are there in real life.

There's a huge pit dug in the front yard of the big house (not literal). I see an expensive car crashed into the pit, nose-down. I knew it had just been stolen.

Then, I see the thief. He sees me, and he begins to chase after me on foot. Somehow, he catches up to my car (not my real car, but an open convertible) and attempts to climb in from behind. I'm panicking, knowing that this guy is a threat to my life. It takes a lot of effort to drive faster, but I do, and I also fight off the guy from entering my vehicle. I drive about a block further until there's enough space between us.

Next, I watch the thief enter the large home. At this point, it feels like he's entered my own home. I'm terrified that he was able to get inside, because now I feel as if there's no security - that nothing is completely safe. I decide that it's time to call 911.

I'm aware that I've never called 911 before, so I'm not sure what to expect. I'm surprised to find that there's a recorded message that plays - like I'm on hold and listening to advertisements. Then, the line is quiet, and I'm not sure if my call was disconnected or not. I say something, and I find that there's someone on the other end.

A large group of college students walk past the house on their way to the college, and I see that the thief has blended into their group. No one notices him, and he leaves the area with the students.

I try explaining this to the 911 dispatcher, and each conversation ends with me being put on hold or feeling unsure if anyone is still on the line. At one point, it's like I had to call back later to follow up.

The dream ends with me sitting with some people around my age. They feel like brothers and sisters, although there's no one that I recognize. All I can feel is fear and insecurity now that I've experienced this thief entering "my home," which I felt that God would always protect me from.

  5. I was inside of an aunt's old house (she no longer lives there). I was sitting in a chair in her dining room - more of a recliner-type chair. Next, my dentist walks up to me. In real life, I had a dentist appointment the same day as this dream. In the dream, she hands me a loaf of bread still in the pan. She asks me to cut it, and I understood her to mean that I should make a single cut into the loaf, length-wise. I did, and I saw that the inside of the bread had some kind of cream cheese and fruit filling. The loaf of bread looked good, and I imagined it would have been tasty.

Next, she points out a problem with a door leading to the outside. She had some complaint about the door, although I can't remember what it was. My reply to her was along the lines of how I understood or could relate. I then revealed to her that I actually knew this house and that door really well - probably better than she did - since this was my aunt's house and I was familiar with it since my childhood.

  6. I've had dreams where the car I'm driving or seeing is one that I used to own...but, they've still related to what's going on right now in my life. For instance, I saw my former car with deflated tires. In real life, I had a very long and difficult week at work, and I was...tired.

Usually, my car dreams are about something right now or in the very near future.

So, that being said...does the rest of your dream fit your waking life right now? Have you gone through anything "hilly" in real life? Do you see a huge hill coming up that seems scary? Just like in the dream, you'll be ok when you have to face it.

  7. Today, I dreamed that my backyard was covered in a layer of snow. I looked down on it from my upstairs bathroom window, and I saw that someone had stamped a message into the snow using individual plastic letters to spell each word one-by-one. The message was long - almost like a letter.

From my position, the message was upside-down. I wasn't even sure that the message was for me. I felt like whoever had used my yard to write this message out had done so for someone to view from high in the air. I was curious as to what it said, though, even if it wasn't for me. I considered going outside and trying to read it from the edge of my yard.

  8. Hi, Exo -

If you volunteered to help while there was a need, and now they have more than enough volunteers to meet the need...I would step down. If you do step down, it's up to you whether you also inform someone about how you feel left out or not. There may be a different opportunity to bring that subject up.

  9. Hi, Marla -

I think that the manager represents the Lord. I think that the condo represents a place that he's prepared for you that you'd really like - just like how you felt in the dream.

The building could represent a church - or something along those lines.

When you had this dream, was there anything new in your life that you felt the Lord had brought you into - something especially for you?

  10. For the first dream: Do you know the man on the bulldozer? The dream could be about someone who has a pushy personality - or, worse, maybe even abusive or threatening. The dream could just be to foretell someone like that crossing your path or you being made aware of them - and how they may tend to act. Possibly a call-to-prayer dream for this person or those in their life.

For the second dream: Similar to the first dream in that it could represent an encounter with someone. The normal-driving police car could be someone in authority that's not displaying their authority when you encounter them. The three white trucks could represent three people connected to them, somehow.

Just my thoughts on these dreams. This is what I'd watch for in real life if I dreamed something like this.

  11. Sorry for the late reply.

When I dream about cats, they usually symbolize people (oftentimes, my family...but not always).

For the animals to both be dead, they could represent people who may not be saved - especially the cat, who did not realize it was dead.

Do you have the same feelings towards people in your life that you felt toward the individual animals in your dream?

  12. I was in a room with two people. One was a girl my age that I do not know, but I felt comfortable and familiar with in the dream. The other was a man that was older than us that I also do not know. He was some kind of personal trainer/instructor. I felt that he was knowledgeable or was an authority on what he was teaching.

The man was teaching/training us to do pull-ups. He was using a piece of workout equipment that felt unique - like something I have never used or seen before. This piece of equipment had a bar for doing pull-ups, and the bar was very similar to a piece from my home gym, so that felt familiar to me.

The girl was being trained, first. She did pull-ups for a while, and then the man had us switch so that I could get some practice.

The scene changes a bit, and the man is gone. It's just the girl and I in some hallway, and I'm continuing to do pull-ups while she's taking a break. Suddenly, I'm aware that a large group of guys is going to be heading through where we are. The girl is afraid, and I encourage her to hide or run away - which she does.

A mob of guys marches through this hallway, and I knew that they were going to take things - my things, and mostly food. I felt like I had a choice to make: Ignore them, allowing them to take what they wished, but also avoiding conflict (and harm to myself); or, make an issue of it and get beat up...and still lose my stuff.

I opted to focus on my pull-ups while they took what they wished. They ignored me, took some things, and then left. The last guy in the mob came up to me with a box of Saltine crackers (?). I was a little sarcastic with him, saying, "Really? You're stealing crackers?" as if to say that that was really the best he could do? The man was even struggling with the box, so I opened it for him and removed a row of crackers. Turns out, he wasn't even going to take the whole box - just a single cracker. He didn't even really want that - he just wanted to take something.

  13. Mia may have more to say on this subject. I'll tell you that I have interpreted a few dreams for unbelievers - mostly family, and a couple coworkers. One of my coworker's dreams was actually foretelling of a future event, which kinda blew his mind when it manifested.

I would guard myself when it comes to unbelievers dreaming about me, though. For one, I could always be symbolic in their dreams. The dream may also be from their emotions/desires as well.

  14. When I dream about malls or shopping centers like in your dream, it's usually about an online interaction - like a forum.

The lawnmower could be an idea that you'd express, or a teaching. It's a device that's along the lines of "pruning."

The dream seems more about you choosing not to enter somewhere/something because what you've brought there isn't allowed.

  15. Hi, Exo -

I have two different thoughts on the dreams. First, though, the emotions in the dream should fit for what the dream is about in real life...

The first thought is a question: Is your son always literal in your dreams? Would the feelings fit if he represented anyone else in your life?

The second is: If your son is literal, then his relationship in the dreams could be symbolic for something else in his life. For the haircut dream - the haircut made me think of someone changing his mind/thoughts. Where in your son's life life would your husband feel as devastated as he did in his dream if he gave up on something that he's "in relationship with" to pursue something else?

Same goes for your dream: I think that the conversation is literal, but the subject isn't. Has he expressed to you that he's tired of anything that's been a significant part of his life?

  16. The 911 on the window, to me, is about a warning or an emergency.

It seems like you were focused more on your name than on the 911 warning. Do you feel that God may be warning you of something, but you're looking for more confirmation that this message is really for you?

When the nickname is written - to me, that would make the warning message much more personal. God may be saying that if he were to make it more clear/personal to you, that it may reveal something to others in the process.

Just thoughts. Toss if they don't fit.
