  1. Ok, I'll bring the truefire twin mill. Truefire, realfire trueflame and realflame are just general names to describe that style of flame painting. The airconditioned comfort of the skybribge will be just fine thanks We leave in 4 days time so I will not be online much after that, so how will I find you guys at Amcorp?, do you have stalls or just hang out somwhere?
  2. Well... I'm bringing the 2 chargers for ya, so I hope to see you too My mother and daughter are somewhat "nervous" travellers, so it may be hard to convince them to get on a train in a foregin country Well... I'm no beauty, but you may be disappointed ... or perhaps not
  3. No chance of me doing any driving.... just hoping we can find a taxi driver that's not crazy Ok, Amcorp is on the way between Port Klang and KL, so I'm sure we will go there, so how, where and when will I find you guys there? Are there lots of shoes and clothes there too.... gotta keep my girls happy too.
  4. Fellow customizers, posting this to see if some of us could meet up when I come to KL. for one day only - Sunday 4 October. We ( me, wife, daughter and mother) will be arriving in Port Klang in the morning, all we know is that we definitely want to get up on the skybridge (it was closed last time we were in KL),we would want to do some other touristy stuff to, and I will have to do my best meet up with Rayz since I'm bringing some cars for him. Rayz... will you be at Amcorp all day? All my girls will probably enjoy the fleamarket so there is a good chance we can go there. I'll bring along a couple of goodies, and I may also bring along the truefire twin mill if you guys want a look at it. Well... post suggestion if anyone is interested in meeting, or suggestions for what 4 tourists should do in KL for the day. Thanks
  5. Thanks guys , I appreciate the nice feedback. 1:64 Hotwheels
  6. I haven't posted anything for a while....... but here is one that has been under wraps for a month, as it was entered in a competition on another site. The theme for the comp was Pickup Trucks and the Flashsider was entered in the "Mild" category. After the voting was done it earned 2nd place. Specs: Hotwheels "since 68" '56 Flashsider Body was stripped and prepped for black base, multilayer blue truefire flames and clearcoat Aluminium tape for window trim, door handles, headlights and blinkers. Candy for blinkers and brake lights. Polished bumpers and grille, black wash on grille California licence plate on back Wheelswap from Maisto Playerz BMW 645Ci Thanks for looking
  7. u understood the question?? btw ur paintjobs r really superb man!! Question was easy to understand..... after I put it through an online translater although the "krome" gave me a clue I learn something with every paintjob I do, to me that is part of the fun.... learning.
  8. Hi guys, here a a few pics of my latest kustom, another 77 Dodge van. Now, you all know I'm fairly new to all this, so this is me sticking my toe in the water, looking for some feedback on my plans.... to start my own customs shop - Ozbroz Kustomz, kicking off by doing 10 of these vans painted in truefire (1 will be a chase... different paint and wheels and extra detailing) I see that many in the USA do convention cars, but as far as I can tell, there are no such conventions here in Australia so I will share them with others by selling them to whoever may want one. So, what do you guys think???? Would I sell 10 of these? What is a fair asking price of one of these? Am I getting too big for my boots and should I just pull my head in and stick to doing one-off Kustomz for my own bookshelf? Appreciate any feedback you may have. Thorrr@Ozbroz Kustomz
  9. No, this was my first try at true fire , but I think it ended up looking more like ice, so I haven't used that stencil again. The "foil" I use is not on a sheet but a roll, supersoft aluminium tape for airconditioning ducts the stuff I use is the 403f on this site
  10. Oh.... you better look away.... I like the old skool rides and only got the 3 SRT8s for the wheels, they will be the first to get the chop
  11. I have to admit, the Pro Rods are very....veeery nice, there will definitely be some that will stay just as they are.
  12. A guy was cutting down his collection of cars because he needed more room, so he listed a lot of loose cars on ebay. I guess the collectors were not interested because they were loose, but I'm no collector and I display mine loose anyway, so I started bidding, and ended up with . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 48 cars front row is 9 Maisto Pro Rods and 3 Hotwheels, 2 with RR 2nd row is 8 "1 badd ride" and the back 4 rows are 28 Hotwheels 1:50 G-Machines and the grand total with postage and everything..... AU$1.70 per car... thats about Rm5.00..... I have a big smile on my face I bought them to get all these shiny chrome wheels and rubber tires for my Kustomz, and they are about the cheepest cars I have ever bought, but many of them are sooooo @#%@& beautlful just as they are, I will find it really difficult to pull them apart Thorrr @ Ozbroz Kustomz
  13. Thanks for the nice comments guys, appreciate it.
  14. The chrome trim is made with aluminium sticky tape, it is used to tape reflective house insulation and airconditioning ducts together, I got it from the hardware store.
  15. I did the wheel swap and paint a while ago but finally found some time to do the detailing on it, so here it is Thanks for looking.
  16. HHHEEEYY....don't blame me! they sent them all to Western Australia, a guy over there went to 5 Big-W stores and came home with 12... yes TWELVE... 34's ....but..... I did find 1 more yellow DD
  17. I don't know...... I am not a collector, I just go and look for green and castings I like, mainly to customize. Thorrr
  18. Have been crazy busy...going to work early and staying late, and selling our house, but I still took time to go hunting 2 week old haul........ I like the twinmill III and this weekend....... I like dairys Thorrr
  19. Sorry I didn't see your question earlier... Paints.... truefire can be painted with either clear candy colours over white, or solid colours, but the candy paint gives a "deeper" fire effect, so instead of spraying white and then red candy over, you would just spray red, same for orange and yellow But... at 1:64 hotwheels size, you have to use an airbrush, it is just too small for a spray can, but you could do it on your 1:1 car with spray cans no problem.... post pictures if you do I buy the transparent glass stain paint from my hardware store, but they are not going to get any more, so they are selling it cheap now as "discontinued stock" this is what I buy glass stain
  20. The braided hoses for the injection is silver sewing thread, I bought a small roll... it is 100m, that should last me the rest of my life Thorrr
  21. Thanks for all the compliments guys, I really appreciate it, but I'm sorry to say that.....it looks even better in real life......digital cameras are not good at reds, and a lot of shading disappears in the photos. Thorrr
  22. Good job on the plug wires... it's all in the details, details, details. Keep up the practice with the airbrush, it really is a great tool. For paint you can spray from a spraycan into a jar and then use that paint in your airbrush, if you have all the same type/brand paint you should not have any problems with teh paint reacting badly. Thorrr
  23. The Twin Mill III is as finished as my time will allow... just too busy with other things Added some fuel injection hoses and did a wheel swap. I have said before that I am not really into HW originals, but I grew to like this casting while building it..... so much so that I went back to the shop and bought the other 4 they had on the rack Hope you like the pics Thanks for looking Thorrr
