sinclair 0 Posted March 23, 2009 I was intrigued by this Rockin' Rods Series when I first saw it because of the car models, tampos and card design. This series was probably released in 1996 or 1997.Pics to follow!

sinclair 0 Posted March 27, 2009 This is car #1 - Twang Thang. Before sighting this card, I never knew this model exists, but it looks real unique with the electric guitar on the side. Can you see it?From the top, you can see that there is a guitar on each side, and both are connected. Most probably you may be able to lift that black piece and both guitars will rise up? Good for those who want to jam with their cars! And each card has a different comment at the bottom. For the Twang Thang it is :
enyomic 0 Posted March 27, 2009 they actually built a real car for twang twang ... i've seen it on the internet before .. let me try to get you the pics
sinclair 0 Posted March 27, 2009 Car #2 in the series is the Ferrari 355. I'm sure every Ferrari fan or even other collectors would want to have this in their collection. I think this would be the heaviest car in this series. The side motif shows a guitar with the word 'metal'. You will notice that all the cars will have guitars on them. The word 'metal' also appears on the roof. And on the hood - 'Pedal to the Metal"! And the comment, of course :

I would like to see those pics. I'm sure the others would be interested too.
sinclair 0 Posted March 27, 2009 Car #3 is the Turbo Flame. Again there is a guitar motif on the side. The top of the car may be detachable, due to this warning on the card.Kids who are exactly 3 years old will have a problem, due to another notice on the card. Not under but also not over. Probably this is why the car is named as such, there is a 'flame' coming out at the back. And the comment :
sinclair 0 Posted March 27, 2009 The 4th car is the Porsche 930. On the side, abstract guitar motif with Hot Wheels logo at the back. What's on the roof? More 'metal'!And we 'rock & roll' on the hood. Nice!Nice car with nice decals!
MarieJuliette 0 Posted March 27, 2009 Those are real nice! It was worth the wait!! I had a funny thought when I read what was written about the Ferrari. When Mattel/HW did the Acceleracers, there's a song on the soundtrack called Pedal to the Metal!!!
