Silverfish Problem......! (PEST)

I spotted one silverfish crawling on my box of HW cars and I'm paranoid now fearing that they may attack my carded collection......! I've seen what they did to some of my stuff in a box, the silverfish is very quick......they eat paper, cardboard paper etc........

Want to get TOYOGO ASAP, and luckily for now I cling wrapped some of my collection..

In the past my grandma advice us to put a layer of newspaper whenever we pack books in the boxes. The chemicals use for printing newspaper will prevent cockroaches and other insects to attack. I've been storing my HW in those HW case boxes and so far no problem.

Maybe you can try newspaper but you may need to change it often.

Another way to save your HW is just let them loose. My 3 cents

The biggest enemy to carded cars is not really silverfish, but humidity.

High humidity attracts living things in the air and that's what you get on our vintage toys / comic books.. mold. That's why you noticed overseas collection does not get 'aged' as fast as our stuff are. Silverfish you can spot and kill 'em, but not mold. So yes, try to secure our collection in air-tight casing or something.
