Think both forums are fantastic, .The BF obviously specially tends to deal with bandits which is good as i have a bandit and have been made very welcome. I've met a couple of great people on a recent rideout (2wheels,Lucan and stealthpirate,Mark) and i hope to remain a member for a long time to come.
Dave Hutch was one of the first to welcome me on that site and taught me the complex (for me anyway) world of emoticons in the shout box . This site offers me the chance to interact with many different bikers, as I am a motorcyclist first i am interested in all things bike not just Bandits and hope to meet as many people as i can when the better weather arrives.
As for rideouts IMO if you meet as a group, ride as a group, male, female,fast,slow, I'm just going to enjoy both forums equally for as long as i can

Hi Rose send me the details. Wasn`t being rude but just annoying when they don`t respond. My partner and his ex had a girlie biker site, they walked away from it when it just became a dating site for girls that don`t ride but like bikers:) All the lads on here will be asking the name now

A forum is as only as good as the people on it.

Generally, I've not called anyone a c*nt on a forum, other than DTP but that's cos it's that type of forum and mostly it's a term or endearment on there or every other word if you're Pugwash . If I've ever called someone a tosser etc, it's cos they were being a complete disrespectful prick and deserved it. Don't see why I have to take abuse and not dish it back out. Nowadays, if someone pisses me off, I just say my piece and then don't go back for a while - no point flaming a situation by waiting for another comment and getting wound up. Can't say I've had any problems with women on forums, if it gets bitchy, it's normally the guys I have several female 'friends' on my facebook and still in contact with loads of others I got to know off those forums. Like I said, met some sound people on 'normal' and 'specialised' forums.

Moderating a forum is over rated. You get nothing but shit, you get accused of taking sides. You can't post an opinion cos then people think it's the official line. You get no thanks until one day there's a big 'lets show our thanks to the mods - a thankless task' thread, usually started by a mate of the mod who's been getting a load of grief or working really hard on the forum. True on any forum, biker or otherwise. I'd do it again though. I'd like to get my hands on this one and jazz it up (design wise).. but that's not going to happen and I've just taken on being PA to a pro stunt rider, so busy rebuilding websites, getting sponsors etc. It does the job and attracts a decent bunch of people.. what else do you need?

I'm active on both forums but seem to spend more time on this one as it’s a bit more easy going these days.
I joined the BF after thinking about getting a B6. The knowledge on there is great and for me most questions can be answered by someone or looking at a past question. For me I need the forums I use to be both knowledgeable and friendly to new people to the scean (some out there are very, very knowledgeable but no room for newbs and don't seem to suffer us much).

Saying all this I've been on more ride outs organised by Dave's forum in the last few months may be because most of the members are more central UK? (Don’t know if this is the case just a guess - getting ready for the all the replies from people who live on Mars )

My time over the last 3-4 months for viewing forums has been decreased due to work and family, so what little time I do get I like to make it quality so I don’t have the time to read all posts like I use to.
