I'd have to disagree with that mate-when I put the brakes on I want to be sure of what's in there, so if that means spending an extra tenner, so be it. I've had EBC in all my bikes and they work well without grabbing, and they're kinder to discs than sintered metal ones. Recommended thumbs

also if you still have the stock lines then bin them as you should put new on after four years , And make sure all pistons move in the calipers , If this is not done then you will have bad brakes no matter what pads you have on the bike

Carbone Lorraine or OE on road bikes for me.
Had EBC when I put EBC discs on but didn't like them much TBH.
Don't bother shelling out for proper 'race' pads, rubbish when cold, mostly rubbish in the wet.

I generally buy consumables from wemoto who are keen on price, carry a good range of stuff, and respond promptly. You can actually enter your bike details and it lists off everything they stock for it.

Forget hoses, most overrated mod going unless you're planning regular and frequent crash stops. They look nice though. And unless your bike has high mileage or spends all it's life outside I'd suggest you're OK with what you've got. My 98 B12 has excellent, all original brakes. I've fitted stainless hoses on my ZZR and they're still underwhelming. Trust me mate, in the ordinary world which I inhabit a set of organic pads does very nicely and doesn't pound the shit out of the discs. Smile

get the best you can afford, best pads i found were carbons something, sport pads, they stoped like stink and worked good cold and hot, but lasted 2500 miles front and rear.

currentl using sinterd<< cant spell sorry. and they are pretty good and cost me £40 the set

I used kyoto on my old bandit, 9 quid off ebay, as long as you have fresh brake fluid and levers that work. then you will be fine. I would rather change pads regularly for 10 quid and have frsh pads than spend 30 or more quid and not change as often.

Notice you live in lancashire, happy to help you fit then if you need help.

i used kyoto on my old bandit 600 the rear crumbled in a week Shocked could have been a bad batch,i always buy EBC for my thunderace ive had them in 2 years and theyve hardly worn and i like armstrong organic as well although they wear quicker, use them on my xj900f thumbs i also like to dismantle and rebuild my calipers every 3 months thumbs
