Enough is enough....

Not enjoyed work for a while and its getting worse.
A whole list of reasons but it got to the stage where
I was really unhappy and dreaded going in each day.

So, spur of the momment, today.....

I QUIT !!! ..... finger ...and walked off site.

No big deal to many of you,
but Im a creature of habbit,
only had 4 jobs in my life,
one was 21 years !!

Just been one the phone to the tax office,
now have an ABN number and im self employed.

Tomorrow is a new day.

All the very best to you mate. I've felt like that before but unfortunately never been in a financial position to be able to do it. Plus getting work over here isn't good.
Again I wish you all the best in what ever you do.

same shit happened to me plus i was having family problems, got to the stage where i did not want to be at work or home, told my boss to feckoff and walked out. two days later they were on the phone asking me in for a chat, went in they changed several things for my benefit and made me an offer i could not turn down, went back to work three months later the parent company shut the place , at least i got a decent redundancy package which i would not if i walked out.
sometimes you got to stop being treat like sheep and take a chance with something else i really hope it works out for you tony.

Best of luck fella thumbs If walking isn't in your nature then it must have been really quite censored so you have clearly done the right thing.

Don't see the point in letting work make you miserable - that's what wives are for Laughing

Thanks for all the positive feedback... thumbs

Been sorting a few things out...

Tax up to date, awaiting some $$'s back,
8 years long service leave applied for,
bought files and invoice books.

Got a few nights work in Brissy (local)
and a few Days in Toowoomba (inland)starting Saturday.
Travel/meals and motel paid for by the customer.

Bris / Brissy / Brisvegas is slang for Brisbane.

Toowoomba is a big country town out West.

Indooroopilly, Woolloongabba, Keperra,
Doolandella, Karawatha, Larapinta,
Tarragindi, Yeerongpilly, Coorparoo,
Kippa-Ring, Enoggera, Boondal,

...all area's in or around Brisbane... Laughing

B-King is the newest and in best condition,
but nowhere near as comfortable as the Busa
and if I go inland not sure i'd make it between servo's.
Coast road is OK but LOTS further.

Looks like the Forbes NSW job is finaly going to happen,
Should only be 3 days / 3 nights work.
Cant fly down or use the bike as I need a Ute, tools, supplies etc
and heaps of stuff I cant buy localy.
So its a Nissan Navara 4x4 and a huge trailer (both borrowed!)
and a 900k (560 mile) drive to pick another guy
up from Dubbo airport then off to the Job.

Another 3am start.

charge "travel time" at the same rate ! ... Laughing

I'm sure they'll be expecting it!! As long as it's on the original quote. Anyway, they can't expect you to travel that far for free thumbs Not unless you're on the bike anyway thumbsSmileTwisted Evilthumbs
