forum weekend rideout/ stop over 2014

Well, me Mark and prob Alan, Dick, Mike, Ian and Stan will hopefully get together and chuck some ideas about............BUT Cheddar gorge is one place I've never been to and always wanted to visit so depending what happens this could be my vote too!

Cheddar Gorge sounds good to me. Same as Mike, never been but one place i'd like to see thumbs 
As for dates can't do july (going to france for Le man classic) but any other time ok

I'll have to keep an eye out for this run and maybe meet you guys there. Makes a good little run out for me from here. Sometimes pop over there in the evening - lovely roads and a pleasant round trip. Handy little cafe/chippy by the bikers car park in the gorge too.

Me and mike will have a word with a few peeps and see where to go.

But up to now ive found a few bunkhouses which house up to 14 in our own room with showers and pubs around the corner in north yorkshire.

18th to 20th july 2014

25th to 27th july 2014

1st to 3rd aug 2014

i in contact with the bunkhouse and it looks well. Once dates sorted i will plan routes so hope as many can make it as poss.thumbs

Already planned the route just need to run round it.

Most people wont what holidays they get til next year so I thought a few dates gives people an idea of when its going to be.thumbs

depends mate I earn £150 a week, with rent, phone bill, insurances, aa cover etc money isn't the best. and any ideas of postcode area? I can see how far then?

id you said southern camping was too far, so me going even further up norths even worse :/ and sucks wanted to go on little road trip next year as couldn't this year after curse of ninja, maybe year after then :/ unless a ride is planned not so far up.

271 miles away thought you said it was further away? its more central than before, and don't forget im not far from the very south east corner, it might be doable ill have to see what works like, I stuggled with southern camping because my boss didn't pay me!!

is it not a 3 days weekend trip?? ride up Friday, rideout on Saturday, and then ride home sunday? never know if I get an upright bike it wont kill me as much, on southern rideout I was crippled when dave and matt rode anouth 150+ miles home lol!!

It is chad a 3 day weekend. If I can ridw a busa all weekend young un, lol. Then u can manage2thumbs

more comfy than the ninja thou :P lol, if I get a cb fair enough. problem with me is im old before my time, too many broken bones, ligaments damaged, and so on, my wrists are mallard and im 20. many motocross crashes, and a couple of road accidents. ooops Wink

as long as my scan goes ok and I get something to make me feel better sorted properly ill try and make it Smile

Same here Mark, i'll just go with the flow and try and put some floating days in when the dates are set thumbs thumbs  great route we'll have to do a reccy mate thumbs

Whichever most prefer. If pushed I would go for 25th to 27th. thumbs

I was still out on the bike after that! Laughing I'll be giving next year a miss, some issues in life that need sorting out means less time and less money to enjoy the bikes Sad

Bit of bad news on the bunk house, Mark has contacted them and they aren't biker friendly thumb down BUT he has found an alternate bunkhouse which in my opinion is better thumbs  cos Mark has done all the legwork i will let him post the details but it looks great. He is as work now but is going to contact them tomorrow to see how positive they are before seeing what you think! thumbs thumbs
