Full title is 'Self Propelled Mobile Pump'. To go out in convoy of about 40 to pump water to each other in relay to get water into the bombed area. Also to assit with the fire fighting. Convoy accompanied by a command vehicle and pipe carriers. It was never a Military vehicle, but as many soldiers were trained on them they are ofter mistaken as such. 3.
