Hi Frannie, Hi Army - the man just came to to collect the TV and then the builder wanted me, he's got the shower screen and shower in now, oooh it looks lovely. How are you guys? Kijo, Sox seems to ask for strawberry milkshake most, followed by ordinary milk, which is odd as milk isn't good for cats!

Sorry I had a problem with my laptop then, nothing would post, and everything's gone very slow. Bee - torrential rain here, very dark and last night IMOM's train home was just cancelled, so annoying. Our TV has to be collected for repair today, no loan set, so we'll be using a tiny portable. Kettle has broken, so I have to parcel that up and send off too, soooo annoying. We have absolutely NO luck with kettles. The work is going well, but we've hit a delay with some items, one hand basin hasn't come into stock (there are two) and the granite worktop people wont cut until both are there incase of a slight alteration in shape. The mirror to go above is also not available yet, which is all very galling as it's a long time since we paid for the goods. It's nothing to do with the builder though. I think it'll be worth the wait, so trying to go with the flow lol. The time of year wont be helping your eating and sleeping, but perhaps you should break your meals down and eat small portions more often?

I'll have to check back tomorrow if anyone knows what I'm talking about! We discovered this series very late on, repeated daytime in the UK. It's so good that I bought series 1-6 on dvd and I can't believe it finally finished in the US because it's BRILLIANT! My daughters (21 and 25) also love it, although one of them was slightly disappointed to find out that it didn't contain any real monks! If you don't know what I'm on about I'll put a synopsis here tomorrow too.

Any time Novia, you have my shoulder. I do know that place where your sister has been, however, as a parent, when push came to shove, I stood firm and was determined that the tail wasn't going to wag the dog - guess what, at the end of the day, our daughter has turned a corner and said 'you were right' I think today so many parents are worried about actually doing the parenting, but at the end of the day kids of all ages, need some format. You always know where to find me to offload and have a kind word. Take care xxx

Bit of a mess all round then Novia. The only reason I comment is that actually when you're very involved emotionally, it sometimes helps to hear a calm voice from outside of the problem? My YD was involved with drugs too. I really hate to say this, but often it isn't such a slippery slope, but can be a learning curve - at the end of the day it's that old proverb..that you can lead a horse to water - but you can't make it drink. Personally, I've never tried illegal drugs, and never felt the need to, but I do know it isn't always a given that it's a road to total despair, and often legal drugs, like alcohol or tobacco, could be. As for your brother and family, that sounds a bit of a tough call to me really I'd say it's less about income and more about what gut instinct tells you is right.

Bye Wish. The divorce is so sad Novia, does he have any idea what's gone wrong there? (my in laws divorced after 32 years married ) As for the delinquent - how old is he? My YD was like that for about 7-8 years of her teen years, and yet now at 21 she has quite a progressive and senior post with an international bank (go figure!) She wasted most of her education, despite being very bright - so I guess, from experience, do what you can, and if it can't seem to be done - bide your time...believe you me, it's only worth stressing over the things you can change. If you can't help change them, just get yourself ready to be there when you're needed

I'm loving Zoonie's kitty, who is called Sox, after the little cat we're fostering right now, until he finds a family. Novia, I tell you, over the last 8 years or so, I've had some enormous lessons to learn, over family - Congratulations again btw on your own special re-birth day - but the lessons we learn about other family members are SO much harder than the stuff we learn and endure and battle with, on our own behalf - believe you me, when you get the hang of it, it is SO liberating, and takes a lot of that weight off our shoulders Can I help with anything?

Petlings Exclusive Full Info! PSFC EXCLUSIVE!
Zoonie replied to Village Mayor-petsociety's topic in News & Announcements
Hi D! One thing I've noticed is that if you're not quick enough with the food it asks for, it wants something different. But all I do is put the food on the floor, making sure Zoonie doesn't get to it first, and Sox takes it and then does a gambol with joy. I want to ask if anyone's petling has run away yet and how do your friends help find it again? -
