  1. That's very philosphical Kijo, especially for a weekend! IMOM has retired to bed already Booo and I'm watching some dire dating show on TV, that must've cost about tuppence to make ... it really is that bad!
  2. thank you ...but don't worry about the prize ....England winning is prize enough .... you do realise my daughter may not speak to me again I trust your silence is a given Audrey?
  3. hope Lea doesn't see that or she might threaten to ban you as well as me My daughter thinks she is Welsh as she was brought up there!! Hee Hee Audrey, she could try, but I have Celtic blood (apparently) my maternal grandparents being Welsh and Scots! When I used to give blood they specifically wrote asking that I continued as my group is in high demand in Wales, and not enough people were donating, so LOL. My Grandfather's surname was Morgan and my Grandmother's was Bruce, so pretty conclusive then on the heritage front - plus we used to live on the Gloucestershire/Monmouthshire borders - even though the politicians tried to rename it as Gwent Oooh, one of my FB good friends is a big Red Sox fan, so my petling is partly named in honour (the spelling bit, as our foster cat here is called Socks, lol) Tanya's having a Superbowl party, we're all invited!! Anyway, wont see you later, so hope you do plenty of work. xxx Lovely Army, enjoy yourselves. See you tomorrow x
  4. I've not been too well today to be honest Army, but hopefully better tomorrow. The speed in ice hockey amazes me. It's not big over here to be honest, but when the girls were away at school, they were often taken to some club matches at the weekend, and they enjoyed it.
  5. Hiya Army, how are you? Ice hockey I presume?
  6. Oh really? not something I follow, car racing. Last weekend we watched the Australian Open Tennis final, and what with football and rugby, I guess you can safely say that ball games are favourite in this house - infact, Zoonie is wearing his football strip today, even though it looks like the Italian national side's kit! England are beating Wales at rugby 30-17, which is fabulous, especially as it's the Welsh National Game
  7. So pleased you like them (even though I can be a bit mean )
  8. I can only assume it would be, bad luck Mindy! mind you, I've been out all day and didn't get a chance to post much myself.
  9. I agree, they're new and so everyone's busy playing with them right now, which you wouldn't be if they were in any other room: plus, you need to remember to feed them incase they run away. I've yet to ascertain how your friends can help find yours if it's gone, instead of the pet detective?
  10. Inside is the best place then Mindy! It was quite nice here today considering how vile it's been. Of late, heavy snow and then torrential rain - today was sunny for a good part of the day and more 'autumnal' really - am hoping for the same tomorrow. It's gone half six here so we're watching rugby on TV, having a drink, and keeping an eye on the late football game scores (Mr Z's team, my team won earlier) via the net. We did a bit of food shopping earlier and went to the supplier of our bathroom materials, who's let us down on a couple of items, which is holding the job up
  11. Hi I'm around for a while.
  12. Thanks Frannie. I have to go too, got to visit the bathroom supplier and give him a rocket for non delivery of some items! Laters taters xxxx
  13. The only ones I ever had expire are if you're no longer friends Frannie?
  14. Gaaah I have 100 pet society stickers to accept, and no accept all button mentioned any time soon?
  15. IMOM grew a moustache once (years and years ago) he's always been quite young looking, so he got loads of stick from his friends for it To be honest Frannie, I can't say it's on my list of things to look forward to lol.
  16. of course, for those of us who just can't wait... http://www.thelaughingstock.co.uk/acatalog/Moustashes___Beards.html I'm happy to report that my hair all coordinates and proves I'm a natural blonde
  17. Oooh Tom Sellik's is a famous moustache. I myself might be more the Salvador Dali type
  18. Comp now closed, sorry wasn't here last night and not feeling too well. Will hopefully send the prize and announce the winner later
  19. I've got a piece of paper somewhere with the results collated, but Mr Zoonie has tidied the kitchen table Grr. Will look for it as soon as I get chance, sorry x
  20. I'll have to think of something other than home cooked food for those tips Wish, seeing as you're going great guns on the cookery front, and I'm not
  21. Thanks Audrey. I bumped up my thread of useful links too Just got to judge the chocolate comp. I promised that for last night, and I still haven't fathomed out the attic name the differences yet
