  3. Joe, I heard March 5th in the UK, with the premiere in London on February 25th? The film synopsis on Wikipedia is In the sequel to Lewis Carroll's original stories, Alice Kingsley, now 19, attends a party at a Victorian estate shortly after the death of her beloved father. The party, unbeknownst to Alice, is an engagement party planned by her mother and sister. Just as the arrogant and dull Hamish Ascot proposes to Alice under a gazebo and under the eyes of hundreds of snooty society-types, Alice spots a white rabbit wearing a waistcoat and pocket watch. In shock and confusion, she runs off into a maze and follows the White Rabbit through it, only to later tumble down a rabbit hole into Underland (more commonly referred to as "Wonderland" by it's inhabitants), a place she has visited ten years before, yet doesn't remember. In Wonderland, she reunites with her childhood friends, including the Mad Hatter, who explains to Alice that they need her help in over-throwing the Red Queen, who has assumed control of all Wonderland. Alice then embarks — assuming both large and small sizes — on an adventure of self discovery and to save Wonderland and her Wonderland friends from both the Jabberwocky and the Red Queen's reign of terror ...so not the same as the original book.
  4. Thanks Frannie, see you in the morning, have a good evening. Bee, join the Horlicks club, I have boiled the kettle, the one that has to go back! and am making mine now, so I'll wish you two goodnight and see you tomorrow I hope, night both xxx
  5. Night Bee, have to admit to being more than half asleep myself too! OH has actually nodded off at the dinner table!!!
  6. Hello Frannie, I'm on the wind down now
  7. Hi, Bye and OK then Tan Tan - keeeeep cleaning! (can I come?) Emma will love it Marie. I agree prices are so high now, but earnings are much more easily come by than back then. I played this time last year, had so few friends I couldn't really afford much at all and surely didn't realise about the value, or potential value, of TWS things.
  8. I'm finding it hard to keep track to be honest, of what's what, viz a viz the shop items, the MB items and those cc mystery boxes maybe? Not convinced the new items are as good as last year's, then again, it was all so much more simple then *reminisces*
  9. Life is all mixed isn't it, the ups and downs, and the thing is, it can turn on a sixpence really - you just never know. What you do know, is that we all soldier on anyway. I try and dwell on all the happy memories of my Dad, because above all, I know for sure that's what he wants - that's what we'd all want for our loved ones, isn't it
  10. well no, but if there wasn't anything to do, it wouldn't be a job really, would it? you definitely need enough to keep the wolf from the door, at least unless you find something else. BTW Bee, I haven't told this to anyone else, but today would have been my father's birthday, so I'm empathising again with how you feel about your mother. seems so, mine hasn't, but Frannie's did, even though it was on a table, or shelf!
  11. Well yes Marie, you never know...we also had The Doger, a year last April..so you have to remember that just as there are no-goods in life, there are still some who go out of their way to do a good turn, whether to people or to animals. Fingers crossed.
  12. It's lovely to see you Bee, how is this week now at work? does it calm down some?
  13. Hi Bee, my lovely, how are you today? I added to Chris's comments, Marie, I really feel for her, I know just how she feels, bless her.
  14. No Tesco with clothes near me either! Actually for years I had a bit of a taste for instant mash too *cringe*
  15. Hi Marie, feel free to add your own guilty secrets, don't be holding out on us now...!!!
  16. Next tip, always tore your knives in a rack, block or magnetic strip, not in a drawer, both for safety reasons and so as not to dull, blunt or damage, the edges.
  17. You too Wish, glad we had a laugh. OH is ringing his late father's widow (not sure what else to call her, grrr...it's not easy) I'm also cooking the evening meal - but it's easy tonight, so can stay a while yet.
  18. Wish, I wonder if you should re-phrase that! (at this point a Mod appears and tells us to wash our mouths out ) It is funny though, I have a friend who takes to her bed and salivates when Lakeland release a new catalogue, and actually Chris Evans was tweeting successively about Lakeland items at the weekend! (for Amy, Chris Evans is a radio and tv presenter and Lakeland stocks kitchen items)
  19. That can only be a good thing! Pet Porn - excessive indulgence in waxing lyrical about your pets (real life/PS or Petlings!)
  20. LOL - we are all guilty pleasures tonight. I have to pass on CDWM as I am too busy watching the howlers on American Idol LOL (TVPorn right ?) That would be right - you get the idea! rofl. I don't watch American Idol, can't indulge you there, sorry. Army, read back a few posts, we're having a porn-fest! All in the nicest possible taste mind you!
  21. ooh Come Dine With Me is coming on +1. My guilty shopping secret is T K Maxx on line
  22. Younger than them Wish and more errr 'versatile' in the roles he chooses - I can say nothing more! Gosh no, you couldn't keep up with clothes shopping dropping weight as you are. Sadly, I've not even started to try yet and my resolutions are wrapped up warm and cosy in their well meaning box (lonely and unloved)
  23. Hee Hee, our Fashion Porn is a bit different..for years the girls and I have taken those pages in magazines where they put outfits together and re-coordinate them. You all have to look and then point a the same time ED was a major Primark fan when she was studying - remember she went to the London College of Fashion, and always worked in fashion too, she still longs to go back to Grazia, but she has some major amazing news coming up about who she may be meeting soon in a promo event. Sadly I'm swore to secrecy on pain of death, because it can't leak out in advance, but *swoon* I have no idea where our nearest Primark is, probably central London for ease of access - but confess, I really can't be bothered (read something beginning with A instead of bothered lol) I get most of my clothes locally these days.
  24. Hee Hee - OH and I indulge in three kinds of porn Food Porn - collecting recipe books, reading recipe books 'experimenting' with recipes, food shopping (at nice places, not the supermarket lol) Watching TV food programmes, and then of course, eating! House Porn - studying the property market, pouring over details and redesigning everything, even if we're not interested in the place and/or viewing showhouses (from time to time - not for ages though) and Domestic Porn (incorporating excessive viewing of the Lakeland Cataglogue) which also covers OH's 'pot fetish' (this week it was the purchase of a Chasseur 30cm enamelled buffet casserole *sigh* Care to share? PS my guilty pleasure, as you know, is tinned soup
