  1. Sorry guys, I've been giving the comps a break, one reason is that I've been so busy, and the other is that so few people were entering. Hopefully I might get a bit more time in a couple of weeks and see what I can come up with then
  2. For Wish Fairy Have a great holiday Wish - will collect all the TWS for you
  3. Massive Congratulations to both our our Maries for the new babies. Cogsy is celebrating the birth of a new little baby Granddaughter and Marie F is recovering from the birth of little Connor, who kept us all waiting for his arrival. Very happy for you both and all of your families.
  4. You didn't miss me Army, I just lost my connection - have been giving the router a really stern talking to lol. Might catch you in a moment, I'm doing other things, but am around and about - am updating the general messages thread.
  5. Good Morning and Happy Weekend I'm so thoroughly annoyed!! I hadn't even collected all of Hideeni's galaxy items, grrrrr!! Nor had the IMOM, Mindy - how annoying. Even more annoying is this limited edition of things you can buy - always released after midnight in the UK and gone by the time I get up! It's a lovely summer morning here. We had a good day yesterday, even though I didn't do much really. Thanks so much Bee for texting me, sorry I'm not very good at texting back, signal was rubbish in JL! I got a couple of mixed calls too, with no number showing up.
  6. Sorry to dash off, but the train wont wait, lol - despite YD's belief that it will (when she lived here) Have a good day both xxx
  7. OOOOH yes please, do let me know if you hear Bee...I wont be home until mid to late evening.
  8. Oh yes, thanks, so long as Milo doesn't come round (from next door but one) Hiya Bee, how are you? Sorry I can't be staying long, just going to get some cereal.
  9. Did you see? I just edited. One of the first webcams was inside a nesting box with a family of Blue Tits - NINE babies they had, bless them. I missed one of our Blue Tit families fledging, they must have gone over the weekend or beginning of the week. So I watched the Springwatch ones instead. Our other box is still occupied. Last night we found out that one of the grey squirrels who lives around here has a family of five new babies - very cute...but quite naughty. Anyway, that's something to keep Dennis occupied ROFL.
  10. This is my latest passion lol http://www.bbc.co.uk/springwatch/webcams/ Sorry just found out you can't view outside the UK
  11. Sounds great. When the girls lived at home we'd sometimes curl up on a sofa together, share a blankie and watch something girlie. I'm not much of a film fan to be honest, but the company and bonding sounds great
  12. It's one of the main attractions of the house - being so rural, but being able to get to places. I wish we had more than one an hour, for the journey home more so than going, but it's never going to happen What are your plans? And, is Mark doing ok?
  13. I'm ok thanks, a bit sniffy - it's bad this year for hayfever...not that I've ever had it before. IMOM finishes work about 2.40pm, so I'm planning to meet him about 3ish, hang out in Covent Garden or somewhere, and then have an early supper out before we come home together. Depends on how early I got up to London whether I go and do a bit of window shopping on my own first, or not.
  14. Hi Frannie, I was just thinking about peeling my backside off this seat and getting a shower, not quite sure what time train to get, but there's only one an hour. How are you doing?
  15. Oh great. 2 more vacation tickets bought and 2 more Safaris! And now the game's gone into maintenance without any warning in the game. Thanks PS! Grrr.
  16. Hey Army - I was reading in bed, lol - lovely morning here now, but I guess you're getting some sleep now? Welcome back, let me know what you need from the Gift Registry wont you. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1283857/CUMBRIA-SHOOTINGS-Tax-drove-mass-murderer-Derrick-Bird-edge.html That's a full run down on the killings - yes, we do have gun control here, you're right Mindy. I hadn't heard that about the Peru case, will check it out. Am glad to hear some better news best of luck with Monday's exam I'm off out today and it's a beautiful day to be out and about

A better list than I do Frannie. TY Will try and fill in what has been donated - am out tomorrow, just going to eat now. Mwah x
  18. There's a special TV report on about it now BG, it's simply unbelievable - carnage - this guy even killed his own twin brother and at least two of his friends/colleagues. Such sadness. I have to go now, as you know it's time to eat in the UK, take care honey x
  19. I may miss you tomorrow, as we're having dinner out in London, rather than lunch. Take care Wish and thank you. BG, these artichokes in the recipe are canned/tinned. I love aubergine, even just to look at! You said earlier, about a shooting in Belgium? haven't heard of it, but our news is full of the Cumbrian shootings, lots of information still coming out here. There are 30 scenes of crime, it appears the shootings started about 5 hours earlier than first realised.
  20. All good then thanks Wish. Just took a call from YD who's still at work, this integration is taking up so much time. We had fennel with our steak last night, and to be honest, a bit like artichokes in a baked dish, I knew it was there, but it didn't really do all that much - so, unlike a lot of things, I'm neither here nor there - wouldn't ever take against them iyswim?
  21. Nothing wrong with hope BG! Go on then Wish, send that puppy and let me see, I know you're bubbling over! thanks. If not I might launch a competition in the vain hope that someone enters This GBM is very downbeat is it not? The recipe for the chicken dish is here btw http://www.waitrose.com/recipe/Italian_chicken_with_artichokes.aspx I'm going to use chicken thighs instead of drumsticks though.
  22. Aaaw BG, bless you. Well, at least this pain will fade, and wont trouble you again. Forgive me, am bobbing back and forwards to the oven now.
  23. Atichokes and chicken is all baked in a tray, so good for the Aga. I can point you to the recipe, or type it if I can't find it online?
  24. BG did you take the arnica tablets beforehand? (I'm guessing not?) I keep on about them, only because they really work well! I'm slightly out of sorts tonight, not quite sure why really, but it's a lovely evening. Am reading up on a recipe for 'Italian Chicken with Artichokes' although tonight we're having sole goujons and veg.
