  1. Am cooking breakfast at the moment, something to warm us up - oven cooked Cumberland sausages and caramelised onions in soft white baps (round bread rolls) Bee, the weather forecast is pretty dire isn't it? (as usual for a holiday weekend) Grrrr.
  2. who knows?!!? I'm not about to test in on anything. Hello you two, lovely to see you
  3. Morning anyway - it's 8am and it's chilly here (again ) Great news Mindy, thanks for the catch up. Congratulations to your b/f - really happy for him about the job (and you for getting the office back, lol) BG, when I get a bad head, first thing I do is take the contacts out. Will look for pics of the baby, bless - did you have a big Aaaaaw moment? Sorry I'm not around much, it really is chaotic here, but as they say, you can't break an omelette without breaking eggs - once all this sorting out and work is done, I'm definitely getting a new routine and turning over a new leaf ... no excuse for it not to stay really clean and tidy now (and the tidier it stays, the easier it is to keep clean) Some strange happening - you know we have all new cupboards in our bathroom? I was tidying them and found a little bottle I didn't recognise at all, I've never seen it before, it has no label, so no idea what it contains, and neither does IMOM - it's just a really big mystery!
  4. Eeek, it's 11am and as IMOM is here, he's chivvying me around to get on with some more chores - this is pretty never ending. Sorry but I have to go - have a lovely weekend, and take care
  5. - and plans for the weekend? Hi Kijo btw. I sent Frannie a FB message, but I guess she didn't see it yet
  6. Frannie - today is the day we get our new cooker, am moving furniture around again and IMOM is home, so I'm dodging around, just sat down for 5 mins rest and a mug of restorative tea!
  7. Good Morning - how are you getting on Mindy? your schedule sounds exhausting. Have you heard from your friend Avira? I haven't heard anything of her for ages. Have they set off on their road trip yet? It's a better day here, have the door open and although it's slightly chilly, it's better for the paint drying!
  8. Thanks Wish, going to serve dinner too. Byeee BG x
  9. Murray 6-2 6-7 (5-7) 2-3* Chela ^ the tennis
  10. Hiya BG, still working hard? Thanks Wish, I think I have a few empty rooms, can't be bothered to decorate with time so short, will peep in though x
  11. BTW if you're looking for Hideeni, just published - although it's all rather *yawn* these days (IMO)
  12. Wish - I'm lamp shopping Am glad the business is lucrative, no pain, no gain is fair enough, but - pain + gain is more like it!
  13. I'd like wine, but it would only be greedy as R and I are having a V&T (his is G to be honest) He says Hello as well btw. I'm just moaning, there's no one here to worry about except us two, so it's not like trying to sort out a family, and, at least we have lots of rooms to keep moving stuff in to - our drawing room, dining room, new bathroom and cloakroom all look like a magazine set (for now) but that's only because no one's been in there
  14. Eeek Murray's lost the second set on a tie break...
  15. WISH!!! hiya mwah mwah err another 2 weeks I think! *cries and begs for mercy* It's exhausting - but new cooker comes tomorrow.
  16. Hi Frannie, if you're sleeping in later, you need it (that's how it works in my book anyway) The plan sounds absolutely ideal, would love to be a part of it. Well, I'm not around much still, as you can gather. I said earlier, am living in absolute chaos at the moment...and I've moved that much stuff around today I'm sure my arms will soon be rivalling Madonna's muscles I'm trying to do about 20 PS visits a day, but not necessarily managing it
  17. Bye Kijo, get some rest, being over-tired can bring on migraines! (something else you probably know) I'm going to go and do some ironing, on the basis that a) it needs doing, and b) it might warm me up some! See you Bee xxx
  18. I wasn't meaning you Kijo (but you know that) I've been having migraines since I was about 18. Always related to my menstrual cycle.
  19. Migraine is so horribly complex, and, it annoys me when people call a very bad headache a migraine, it's much more complicated than that. The latest I read is that black coffee helps - not tried it. Sorry you feel so rough Kijo, especially when you have no choice but go in to work. Haven't heard about your plans?
  20. Hiya Kijo, I'm on the phone now, but am skim reading. How are you?
  21. But those kind of chores are a part of life Bee, and it's good to have the time to do it - you'll feel better and more settled then ... and then life can start properly again? yes? I fully intend not to put stuff back in our wardrobe if I don't absolutely want it - I found 9 pairs of shoes I'd been hanging on to without any particular reason - shocking isn't it. The trouble with having lots of cupboards, is that you shove stuff in there and ignore it, just because you can I really must turn over a new leaf!
  22. Sorry the men needed a pot of tea and some feedback. Yes, I guess we'll be out of our room all that time, never mind, it's nice enough where we are, even if the bed is 18" narrower lol. We'll just be tackling lots of piles of paperwork and other assorted stuff that's accumulated over the past 9 years, and getting rid - before the carpet fitters come, which is something I'm absolutely dreading!!! Are you all nice and spick and span now Bee?
  23. Oooh I'll look at the pic then. Well, the dining room and drawing room are completed and look very good, so too the new bathroom (still one piece missing from the radiator though!) and the downstairs cloakroom, which is where the books are going (on some shelves in an alcove) The hall and landing should be finished later today, but the landing is full of junk from all sorts of rooms, so although it's decorated, it looks like a tip again now. They're starting our bedroom, but, because of the bank holiday, they seem to think it might be next Wednesday/Thursday before it's done - find that quite hard to believe...we shall see. The new cooker arrives tomorrow - which reminds me, must check up on that.
  24. Cold Bee! I just lost my connection as well, bleurgh. Am working my way up to shifting great big piles of books around. I ought to be really slim and fit doing all this furniture removal - dream on How are you doing?
