  1. Happy Birthday to Toni M: have a great day xxx
  2. Good Morning from a cold and dull UK Hi Agne, and welcome to C&G sorry I wasn't around when you were here. Hi Toni, likewise - it was a very busy weekend, and a busy week ahead for me too, the days are fair flying by! Happy Birthday btw, will make sure I visit in PS today
  3. Thanks I'm off to set to with some serious tidying and decluttering of my study, which hasn't been touched for months and months. See you soon x
  4. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mus%C3%A9e_de_l%27Orangerie My favourite visit was to the Musée de l'Orangerie, the two rooms with Monet water lilly murals (again IMOM was a bit bored)
  5. You know, I can't remember all that much about it, except, the entrance, which is through that giant glass pyramid, and seeing both the Mona Lisa, which is tiny, and Leonardo's Cartoon, which is also very small and is kept inside a small circular curtained section, a bit like a round booth, under special dim lighting (well, it was when we went) IMOM isn't much of an art or culture lover, so he kept wanting to whizz round, whereas I wanted to take my time. Oh and we saw the Venus de Milo as well *am thinking back hard now lol
  6. Aaah, oh dear. Somewhere nice to stay would be a big plus. The hotel was nice, perhaps not so nice as the site looks, and it's about 20 mins outside of Paris, but at least they had a break (am trying not to be jealous) They found food incredibly expensive, but then our exchange rate is so bad. I think they managed lots of gallery visits, including going twice to The Louvre. We haven't been to Paris since the girls were very small.
  7. Aaaw. OK I guess thanks, am fairly worn out, having people around constantly, living in chaos, and humping stuff from room to room to room, that's been pretty tiring. Am looking forward to getting back in to our own bed tonight - need to sort out the room first mind you. ED has been telling me where they stayed in Paris http://www.mamashelter.com/sleep - needless to say they're both now absolutely stoney broke ... which isn't sounding good for the money they owe us
  8. keep in holding on Kijo. Am sure something will work out soon for you.
  9. Sorry that was a bit brief, was multi-tasing. How was your weekend Kijo?
  10. I've dressed Zoonie in the clothes, and used the wallpaper, floor, tree and animals in his room, but then I had to go and cook and then ED called - she's been to Paris for a few days with her B/F - it's his birthday today. She rang, but is still in bed!
  11. Just had our breakfast too, if I could go on a real life Safari again with IMOM, it'd be a dream! Zoonie hasn't been on his ostrich ride yet

    This week is Italian/Holiday Week - w/c Monday 31st May 2010
  13. A gift from Novia, and for Zoonie, it couldn't be a better destination!
  14. Shame it was such a brief meeting, darn traffic! Thanks for posting Bee it's lovely to see you both
  15. Good Morning Well deserved, it was charming to have the story with the room - well done Ursula
  16. Crikey I totally forgot it's Monday and a new PS week. Mind you I couldn't get on yesterday, just kept seeing waves and feeling sea sick. Finally got on in the end, but didn't have time to do much.
  17. Thanks for the treat Mindy! Good Morning, it's a bank holiday weekend in the UK, and typical bank holiday weather (cold and wet!) I saw it was Memorial Weekend in the States too, does that mean no work today? Kijo I was still sleeping at half five - not back in our own bedroom yet, hope to sort that all out today. We had so much we meant to do over this weekend, but as usual it's mostly left for today ... got sidetracked watching England play football yesterday, boy they were bad - they'd better look to their laurels for the world cup (first match is against the USA)
  18. It's escaped me too, I just know it's been ENORMOUS for kids Wrap up warm Bee and enjoy your time off work even if the weather isn't the best
  19. I wasn't around yesterday, sorry Lisa - hope you had a really great birthday
  20. Sorry Bee. It's a breakfast to set us up for the day, missing out on lunch. We have to go out and do a big food shop later - oh deep joy! Just logged in to FB and someone on my friend list (a PS player) has this as their status 'I sometimes wish my school would burst into song, like in High School Musical' rofl - can you imagine it?
  21. Was lovely to see you Mindy, in real time, even if it was brief. Sweet dreams
  22. LOL yes, I tried smelling it, nothing distinctive. It's a very small plastic bottle with a turquoise screw top. The liquid's an amber colour and very runny (i.e. not like shampoo or anything) and it doesn't seem oily.
