I could've told you that, but I was doing visits. Hope you both like your floor? it gets harder to find anything to treat people to now, even though there are so many new things. Have either of you joined the BACS group? Smorkle runs it, she's absolutely lovely, they have a counting game and a box bonanza. You pay a GMB for each number you pick and when the random number's drawn, winner takes all - I won it once. She has other giveaways and comps too.

No one found your petlings? I don't do anywhere near so many visits - it's just too much of a chore these days. Socks is fine thanks. I spoke to Cathy yesterday, I was worried that Kate said there were a couple of settling in problems - but Cathy said the problems had only been on the first night when he was with Frank, at the holding pen - he took to his new people straight away and all seems fine. They've yet to let him outdoors though.

OH was late home, the train had to go on a detour (luckily on our line, there is a section that can detour) - turns out it was because of a suicide at one of the stations. He's home safely now though. And then a friend just rang to say her sister in law is on Ideal World, the shopping channel, demonstrating her jewellery, which is a new business for her.

Airlines and passengers face a slow return to normality as flights resume after a six-day shutdown because of volcanic ash. Tens of thousands of Britons are still stranded abroad and it could take weeks to get back to business as usual. Further delays and cancellations are occurring because of the backlog and planes not being in the right place. Aviation officials lifted the airspace ban on Tuesday night, saying it was now safe for planes to fly. WEDNESDAY'S FLIGHTS BA: All long haul flights from Heathrow and Gatwick; Short haul cancellations until noon Virgin Atlantic: Normal schedule Thomson: Outbound flights cancelled Easyjet: Intends to operate 90% of flights Ryanair: No Northern European flights until 1300 BST on Thursday; No UK-Ireland flights until 1300 BST on Friday Flybe: Flights from 1300 BST but cancellations expected; 18 morning flights re-scheduled to leave 1300 BST *Passengers are advised to contact their airline before travelling to an airport for a flight Heathrow would normally handle about 1,250 flights on an average Wednesday but the departures and arrivals boards at the west London airport were full of cancellations. There were no departures until 0806BST when an Alitalia flight left for Rome. The first two BA flights have left Heathrow for Tel Aviv and New York. UK air traffic control body Nats said it had handled 130 flights over England and Wales, and 35 in Scottish airspace, between 0100 BST and 0700 BST on Wednesday. About 75% of European flights are due to operate on Wednesday, according to the air traffic agency Eurocontrol. Frances Tuke, spokeswoman for travel body Abta, said the return to normality would be slow and there was also a risk the ash cloud could return. "The thing to remember is that aircraft and crew are going to be in the wrong place," she said. ^ above from the bbc news site.

Funny how that works across the ocean and the time zones We had ducks a couple of years running - one female with TWO males, they went everywhere together. Shame that both times foxes got her eggs They used to swim in our pond, and come up to peck on our patio door to the kitchen when the bird seed had all gone
