  1. Yes the car was in a parking lot and it looks like he pushes her car out of there onto and along the roadside verge. That clip is clearly one where the people know each other though.
  2. Not a problem for me - I don't have a car ! :)
  3. Yes you do have a point on that clip. Another one that struck me as rather odd was the lass who puts her hand bag on the front seat of a taxi then shuts the door and walks around the back of it to get in on the other side ! Kind of a strange and silly thing to do. Bet she doesn't do it again :)
  4. Imagine this on a possible, future worldwide scale ! Millions of acres of degraded landscapes can be brought back to life thanks to these drones. A tech company called BioCarbon Engineering has been using the flying robots to plant trees on a massive scale. The drones, which were developed by an ex-NASA engineer, are designed to fire off pre-germinated seed pods into the ground. The drones have been shown to plant trees exponentially faster than locals being forced to plant them by hand, and the method is far cheaper than traditional planting methods. Full Story & Video Here
  5. Get your day off to a bright start by watching this dancing cockatoo - great rhythm too :) Maybe I should have put this one in the Juke Box section lol
  6. I have decided - on a trial basis - to allow non members to reply to topics in 2 sections of my forum. If all goes well ( i.e no problem posters ) this will be made permanent. :)
  7. I'm sure we have all heard - perhaps even ourselves have made the comment at least once about 'kids today have no respect for their elders'. Well, here is a story that will restore faith in our younger generation. Five teens on their way by car to play some basketball, witnessed an elderly man fall down on his way home and immediately stopped to help him and they went beyond just helping him to his feet. :) Full story and pics Here
  8. No I wasn't in at the launch of forumotion - though I did just recently create a forum there and was only at the design stage when I saw the ad for this place and thought I'd check it out. I didn't have anything to transfer but in any case - I thought if I decided this wasn't for me - I would still have my forumotion to go back to and continue with. :) I'm looking forward to seeing what future features may be added - and I am hoping that one of them will at some point be the ability to add a little more color to our forums - I do struggle a bit with all the white. Even if we can't add background images like forumotion, it would be nice to at least be able to reduce the amount of white. :)
  9. Joined the Club on Tuesday and - not being used to this type of forum - I've been in a state of confusion ever since, though I'm gradually finding out the workings bit by bit. In all my years of being online and all the different types of sites I have been on - this is the first time I've been in on the launching of a 'brand new' hosting site that is only just getting started. It will be very interesting to see how Forums Club grows and fares against the vast competition out there.- and I hope it does do well
  10. Given the title of the category - what better song to start it off with
  11. These music boxes may be small, but they are having a huge impact on the families who use them. The Music Memory Box was created as a means of using photographs, objects, and music to help people with dementia to remember their past. The box is programmed to play certain songs that are associated with the various possessions and photos. When one of the objects is placed in the center of the box, a sensor triggers box’s speakers so that it plays the song that corresponds with the object. 28-year-old designer Chloe Meineck says that her great-grandmother’s experience with dementia served as the inspiration for the box. Whenever Meineck when to visit the senior at her nursing home, the woman always failed to recognize her. Upon hearing certain songs, however, Meineck’s great-grandmother would suddenly begin to recall heartfelt stories from her past. Read full story and see video of music box in action Here
  12. I tried to use the <> to embed the you tube video embed code - but couldn't 'paste' code into the code box - the code just appeared in the topic. This usually works fine on other forums, but not here. It seems we can only post links to you tube.
  13. Dear Friends, It seems the news media thrive on the 'worst' of human nature - seeking mainly to report on the stories that will shock and outrage those who hear/read about them. Indeed, it would appear that the media believe their audience also 'thrive' on the daily ration of doom and gloom served up to them. While it is true though that there is much in the world that casts a shadow, it's only one half of the story - the other half is what this forum is all about. Life - Sunny Side Up offers an 'alternative' daily ration of news stories that will uplift us, inspire us and restore our faith in humanity. In addition, we can enjoy the beauty of nature and the wonderful animal kingdom. We also have 'leisure time' topics, daily chit-chat and other odds'n'ends, please feel free to join in - or add something of your own. Because of the 'upbeat' nature of L.S.S.U, there are no 'controversial' type topics here, such as politics/religion, but it's hoped that they won't be missed :)Thank you for dropping by and I hope you will enjoy your visit - Nan

    Rules

Because of the upbeat nature of this forum and the absence of the usually controversial type topics, I would like to think that a long list of 'Do Not Rules' are not needed - so the few below should cover everything :) Please treat others with the same respect and courtesy that you would expect to receive yourself. No foul language / racism / hate speech or other offensive comments. No spamming, trolling or other disruptive behavior. Please ensure that articles/images you post are within copyright laws. If in doubt just post a link to.
