  1. Absolutly... Didn't you see Dave when he had a test ride ? ok i'll break it to the better half the wedding is cancelled as I need the money for medicinal purposes ......
  2. If you have a Busa and a King does that mean they cancelle them selves out, negative plus negative equals positive, then loony plus loony must equal Sensible ! does that mean if I buy a Bking it will cure my mental instability.....i shall put this to my shrink and see what he prescribes.
  3. anyone used or use these , how do you find them for comfort.
  4. welcome to the forum also own a GSX1300R.
  5. done a search and there seems to be a fair few versions of this product and some seem to lift bikes higher than others . this one seems to lift ok or higher. Mmmm not something I'm gonna rush into however they do look useful.
  6. think they do it for all bikes jez ,also look at the abba stands yup just had a look on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ConStands-Power-paddock-stand-Suzuki-GSX-R-1300-Hayabusa-99-07-motor-bike-lift-/400325638763?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item5d35447a6b#ht_2037wt_978 abba stands are around £100 so I'll just have to talk nice to santa.
  7. I think its a great idea as in my man cave I dont have the room to lift the bike using both paddock stands stands so something like this may come in useful.
  8. start looking at travel lodges now as you may get a room for 19 quid if your lucky, we managed to get one for this price a few years back when me , lee and herb met up at santapod.
  9. Right i've booked a room however i've taken out a cancellation policy (can cancel up to 22 November with no charge) as I still can't confirm whether i will be there for sure , at least I have somewhere to stay if I turn up. oh i will probably be on the bike. Jezza
  10. looks fun but i think it would kill my knees.
  11. Chad , two singles are still available through booking .com £ 59 Don't know for sure what I'm up to yet as I'm trying to save every penny plus Oxford are at home that day and I like a beer or two at the football. http://www.booking.com/hotel/gb/bestwestern-talbot.html?tab=1&origin=hp&error_url=%2Fhotel%2Fgb%2Fbestwestern-talbot.en-gb.html%3Faid%3D311076%3Blabel%3Dbestwestern-talbot-W6Czr2rBn14_UpcIrM3ddAS12485807100%253Apl%253Ata%253Ap1%253Ap2%253Aac%253Aap1t1%253Aneg%3Bsid%3D707b56151b9e759c61eef51128e252a9%3Bdcid%3D1%3B&do_availability_check=on&aid=311076&dcid=1&label=bestwestern-talbot-W6Czr2rBn14_UpcIrM3ddAS12485807100%3Apl%3Ata%3Ap1%3Ap2%3Aac%3Aap1t1%3Aneg&sid=707b56151b9e759c61eef51128e252a9&checkin_monthday=24&checkin_year_month=2012-11&checkout_monthday=25&checkout_year_month=2012-11#availability_target
  12. , its a bloody good system .
  13. its recommended that when travelling with no pillion that the pack is reversed and rested on the seat. have a quick look at the FAQ'S on the website http://www.ventura-bike.co.uk/faq.aspx or the video explains it better. http://www.ventura-bike.co.uk/system/video.aspx so with the system you have you would put the rucksack on the seat and the smaller pack on the rack if riding with no pillion.
  14. Mines the 63 litre bag , looks the same, also have a smaller one. the bigger one sits on the seat and the smaller one sits on the rack. you probably have around £200 of luggage there if purchased new . http://www.ventura-bike.co.uk/products/bikepack.aspx
  15. pics please or is it the same bag as mine.
  16. I agree Tony . I also think its caused by condensation forming on the inside of the tank at night , we was told about this years ago when i was on a heavy plant course and was advised to fill the tanks of the vehicles up before going home as it prevents condensation forming and water collecting in the bottom of the tank . I have now got into the habit of filling my bike up before I put it away. when I purchased my b12 I noticed that the water drain plug round the fuel cap was blocked and when it rained the water would collect round the cap, come refuelling time the water would then run into the tank when the cap was opened. I caught this too late and the tank sprung a leak at the seam by the seat,I tried to repair it however i ended up replacing it in the end.
  17. Tony , you're talking me into spending more money Shhhh.
  18. I have one of these led about in the shed somewhere for a mk1 , if you want it give us a shout and I'll pop it in the post for you , it fits using sticky pads the same as the sticky mirror fixers used on cars. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUZUKI-GSF1200-1200-BANDIT-00-04-CARBON-TANK-SHIELD-COVER-PROTECTOR-19-99-/230858289179?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item35c039f01b#ht_1477wt_651
  19. I,ve seen Various bikes with R1 calipers fitted but the cost of doing the complete conversion aint gonna be cheap and trying to justify the cost to the other half is gonna be a problem especially with a wedding coming up....priorities , priorities Mmmmmm.
  20. i've been looking a them myself (due to being of a large frame and the bike is nearly braking for two people all the time ) .The ones from america which are cheaper however I expect by the time I've got them through customs the price maybe around the same or more. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320984988537?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_1082wt_884 these also look a tad skinnier.
  21. had oilers on all my bikes and they are very good , as long as they are directed right at the nozzle and the flow rate is right they are not messy. Remember to still maintain your chain by cleaning , don't just think the oiler will do all the work. The luggage is ventura , the same as mine if your riding with no pillion its recommended that you turn the bag onto the pillion seat as its more stable
  22. I got told by a GS500 owner that Busa's don't handle and you can't go fast or far without a fairing (B-King) but he thought GS500's were great ! you must have met my father in law.
  23. you stated the busa was pointless , back up your claim. if your going to say because its got too much power then you may as well put all sportsbikes in the over 600cc in the same catagory surely!
