  1. just watched it this morning on itv 4 , must say the presenters voice soon sent me to sleep, not a brilliant programme.
  2. but at least you have sunshine ........stay safe chap!
  3. I totally forgot about Tim Blakemore and only an hours ride from me.
  4. I have a feeling tts at silverstone do this type of work , I know I could quite easily buy a ecu flasher however as im not clever enough to use it . like I said I may get a spare ecu and try and get one flashed in the future . When i did purchase the item from boost he did recommend getting it flashed however like I said I'm a tad worried after hearing some of the problems people have had with theirs ,Which is probably more to do with user error/lack of knowledge of the person flashing the ecu. I was thinking of going power commander route however if I do get the ecu done it will save me a bit of cash and messing about . dunno food for thought!
  5. I looked into ecu flashing however people are few and far between and I've also heard about some fried ecu's , once a ecu is flashed I also believe its not possible to revert them back to standard. so the item thats fitted on mine should allow it to redline in 6th should I be brave enough to do so , also easily removed if wanted. in future I May keep an eyeout for a spare ecu to play with.
  6. on a serious note. I've had a "boostbysmith" gizmo fitted to the busa , instead of having at tre that works fools the ecu into thinking its in 5th all the time, the gizmo lifts only the 5th gear restriction so all the mappings right for all the other gears and no lumpy neutral tickover. probably does something similar for the bking. Yet to have the balls to check it out though. http://www.boostbysmith.com/

Sorry Dave 20mph quicker than a bandit 1200 Tony has now posted 155mph .........only 15mph quicker than a bandit 1200 . Should have kept the bandit Dave.

  9. whats the top speed of them then Dave.
  10. can't see any probs with the advert , he says cash on collection , bike can be viewed , he states where it is, comes with history .....any probs I'm sure he'd want to hide the fact if he wasnt genuine however the buyer can do all the proper checks if they wish , he's giving them the same chance as any person would have if buying through a classified.
  11. it was a toss up between the busa and zzr1400 when i was searching , very close to getting the zzr ( 08 plate -20,000miles) however for the money the bike i looked at from the main dealership was not in as good nick and had higher mileage than busa (08 plate - 4800 miles) . maybe next time.
  12. thats not the "C" word though so aint a problem.
