  1. I put a power bronze double bubble on mine when I first got the bike , fits well ,no cracks and fairly reasonable price wise.
  2. I have a feeling that the rev counter runs from the cdi on these . I notice you mentioned it has had problems with reg/rec wire fitment, this may be the cause as it may have failed in the past and been replaced however it may of cooked the rev counter before replacement ....... just a thought.
  3. Spoke to the owner afterwards as she lives close by and she does not blame me one bit. I mentioned the accident to sadie when I got home and it seems the same dog got into our rear garden last year through bars in the metal gate (it was a little yorkie) and the owner yet again had lost it while walking it in the field behind our house . Cheers chaps !
  4. On the way home tonight I hit a dog while driving my car, the poor animal shot from between park cars and I ran straight over it. I immediately stopped the car and got out to check the animal, to which I could tell straight away it was not going to survive so I quickly banged on various doors to find the owner as the dog had no coller on. After about a minute the owner came walking around the corner , she'd been walking it in a field behind the houses and it ran off . obviously she was upset so I scooped the dog up , wrapped it up in my coat from the back of the car and rushed the dog and her to the vet , the dog died on the way to the vet but still took her there for confirmation. Afterwards I dropped her and the dog back home and reported the incident to the police for their records. At this moment I feel like shite and could seriously do with a pint.
  5. Nothing beats homemade chips done in a pan, even better than chip shop chips especially with a fried egg on the side, black pudding , beans , sausage, lashings of sauce ,vinegar and salt and to finish of a hunk of bread to mop up all washed down with a Guinness............. Balls this is depressing and making me hungry so I'm off to bed.
  6. Ah well , not a fan of oven chips either so it looks like I'll have to go without.
  7. I did suggest one of those but she muttered something about filling up the worktop and collecting dust...just like the breadmaker, juicer, sandwich maker, George foreman grill etc..
  8. i agree salad should only be there to make your steak and chips look even nicer like a contrast between good and bad and not to be eaten but left on the plate to make it look like you havent eaten everything I think she forgot the steak and chips.
  9. How could people live on salad , I'm still bloody hungry.
  10. Yes got up early to go out on it , much better than the cheap full suspension bike I bought years ago and a lot quicker than the car for nipping down to the shops.
  11. OK , just got what was recommended for me , my mates dad races bikes and pointed me in the direction of this one of these as it would hopefully suit my intended needs ...a bit more than I originally wanted to spend but after looking at some of the crap in halfords I thought better to go to a local independent and give them my money ( he knocked over a 100 quid off book price ). Looking in the shop there was one at £7000 ffs I'd sleep with that in the bedroom and would not let it out of my sight.
  12. If you mean model its a trek 8.4 ,other than that you've lost me. http://www.trekbikes.com/uk/en/bikes/town/dual_sport/ds_series/8_4_ds/#
  13. Sorry to hear that mate. Does that mean all the funs gone as well Probably not Just a warning , diet change ,control drinking and exercise won't sort. Think I've been enjoying the naughty things to much.
  14. My new bike , due to Doctors orders. Lifestyle change..... all the unhealthy stuff has to stop.

  16. If I remember right its 4 digits in a oval ring , so if it reads 2212 the first 2 digits are the week number within the year. So the 22 is the 22nd week out of the 52 weeks in the year and the the last 2 digits are the year.
  17. married life for you , Seems that way :-(
  18. Better day than me , mowed the lawn , trimmed the wisteria, cut back the brambles, filled some holes ready for painting, rubbed down and prepped the porch, sprayed the mini moto frame, mended the loft hatch. I'll be glad when Monday comes so that I can go back to work for a rest. Just snook of into the shed to listen to the footie and have a beer.
  19. if I go (will know by the end of today) it's with the rugby pit stop GROUP As I mentioned I'm unable to see the LINK so cannot see what route and how many are going , .......the proclaimers were a group and there was 2 of them , the St Winifred's school choir was a group and there was 30 of them, some people like to go on rideouts and then go off on their own as demonstrated last week , maybe you were planning on doing this! Like I said I cannot see the LINK. Also when are you posting that paddock stand to me.
  20. Quite often have a quick ride down on a sunny evening for chips by the river. Good day to wind down after a shitty day at work.
  21. Is it just you or is there a gang , if I get chance I may pop down. It will be busy ,so parking can be a pain in the high street especially if there is a group of you , you may have to ride up and down for a while until a space becomes clear.
  22. Can't see the 3rd link, when you off to B-O-W.
  23. No good with the dates for me as its the other half birthday weekend. Sorry chaps
