  7. No problem mate. Looking forward to a good weekend, and that sounds like a good way to round it off Will see you Friday
  8. I live not far from Jct 26. If your taking that route beware of the average speed cameras all down Western Blvd and Middleton Blvd and as you get to the hospital plod has a speed trap there almost daily. This is the route I'm taking from Jct 27 as I'm only 5 mins away from it. It goes near Nottm but only skirts the city http://goo.gl/maps/49uYY But if you are arriving around 4pm onwards then your route is probably the best to avoid the rush hour Thanks for the info. Will make sure we stick to the limit on the way to the site
  9. I'm thinking the pattern will continue, on the basis that faired bikes move the air for you but on nakeds you do it yourself See what the rest come in with
  10. Can't have been mine mate, you would have said something
  11. Never been mate, but it sounds like the numbers for it are dropping off? yes they are use to be the busyest meet in the midlands years ago , new owners have let it go and dont seem bothered , Hmm. Reminds me of a place round here. Lord Stones Cafe. A bit out in the country, good for a quick run out and had been a biker meeting place for a while. Then something happened and many versions of the story circulated all round and people stopped going. He didn't seem bothered and has courted the walkers/ hikers/ bi-cyclists. Currently it's closed for a refurb so we'll see if he opens for bikers again.
  12. but, what bike have you ridden that "feels" the fastest? ie you think you're doing 600mph and in fact you're only doing 60mph! And as the opposite, which bike "feels" the slowest? ie you think you're doing 60mph and you're doing 600mph! I can't really comment on this only having ridden a bandit and a ZX12 regularly. The sons Firestorm felt fast, but I think only because you couldn't hear the engine over the exhaust note
  13. i went in the end , but not many there Never been mate, but it sounds like the numbers for it are dropping off?
  14. Ok then. Us Northern lads have lost out Chief Scout, so we'll have to rely on google, the AA or RAC. Checking the route, the "best" one I can see is A1, M18, M1 and off at Jnct 26 onto the A610 (Nuthall Road) then pick up the A6514 (Western Blvd then Middleton Blvd). From there onto the A52 and round to the centre. It's a bit longer, but keeps you out of Nottingham itself. See route below Possible Route What do people think?
  15. Was going to say I could do it, but don't know the roads well. Looks like we have candidates so shouldn't be a problem
  16. Shame mate, was looking forward to catching up again. Good luck with the work, the tax and Uni accommodation Have to try and organise a run out in a few weeks
