its off the road as i have the engine out giving it a paint job so i have a bit of time to get it opened. thanks i will use them as ive got a couple of things and they are on it.

hi, i dont think they will all fit in the head thats the problem. I think they are around 25-30? just didnt know if theres anything i could do insted of buying one. cheers chadatious put electricts in the headstock and how much is a seal kit rebuilt it all etc?

Hello all, I was bleeding my front brake on a cb250n yesterday and was happy to finally get it done, only then did i realise its seized shut, whats the best way to sort this out as superdream calipers are either too much cash or i just cant find them. thanks guys. o yeh i also got a differant headlight that wont fit all the electrics in, any advice on wehat to do with it all? thanks again

to be honest i dont think the gaskets are that great. As far as i know they are im all good, im going to manually tweak the carb tonight just incase there is something wrong with the handle. thanks

Hello, Every time i solve a problem on this cb250 i get another one. Managed to sort out the carb problems now when i start it it gets going but when i pull the throttle it doesnt rev or anything, have i got the cables wrong? Also what do you call those on the end of the downpipes that fit into the engine? the clamp is ok but the ends are a bit wasted that fit into the engine and when it starts a bit of the exhaust fumes come out of there as they are a bit hammered. thanks in advance.

thats not a good evening for you, on the other hand mine was quite good as the blades beat huddersfield which is a great result, plus best of the best was on tv, an added bonus.

hay, thanks guys, yeh ive got two diagrams, slightly diffderant, plus the loom that came with it is a little dirfferant to the one i got off ebay so its a bit weird, ive just got at multimeter to test some of the wires, just ordered a new indicator relay and a few other electrical bits so hopefully ill get there, also on the diagram it shows two wires from the indicators but theres only one on mine?? i know they are just normal ones not LED. thanks for your comments.

thanks for the advise, ive looked at plans and they go where they should do,the headlight works now so thats a plus point, im going to have a look at the wires better tomorrow as they could all do with sorting out cos they are a but nasty. Thanks angel, you anywhere near edingale in tamworth??

haha thanks dave. erm at first only one indicator lit up and didnt flash, could be the flash relay? but the controls dont seem to work either, ive got to go and get some connectors from halfords in a bit so i can change the headlight wire and ill then try that. ive never been good with electrics, theres also some connectors that are free and a bit confused on what goes where. need someone to come and say that goes there and this needs to change if you know what i mean.

hello all, just wondering if anyone with electrical knowledge is in or around sheffield? im at the end of my first project and its totally doing my head in as its not working, its a cb250 79 and its gonna be scrap soon if i cant do it

dont call me think or anything but im having a problem with the wiring, im just waiting for the new battery to charge and ill try it all out when i get home after work today, ive just fitted what i can and what connectors fit into each other but the coil has to wires that go onto the spark plugs but also has another wire that goes?? and the cdi box on the left hand where does that go? its all confusing as they wernt wired up when i got it and i dont know anyone whos into this kind of thing. please help

Hello everyone, Ive been checking this site for a while now and thought i should post some pics. started this last year and got towards the end a couple hours a week doing what i could, never done this before, not done mechanics, touched an engine or painted anything but have always been interested in them. thought i would just buy a banger and learn on the job, searching the web and reading books but most of all looking on the forums for help. i started with this that i got off good old ebay. It was a little hammered so i totally stripped it down and figured where to go next. messed up my camera mid build so lost all the pics i took of the progress and the wiring so i couldnt go back and see where everything went. Things started to get somewhere and look half decent. had to teach myself how to do everything which was great, got loads of tools in the process and the next stage is to learn to weld and on the next project i want to study the engine more. on to the final 3rd of it all and it all seems to piece together nicely. even made my own seat from scratch. im now on the wiring which is mental, just trying to see what connecters fit together, got some left over that are spare?? just charging the new battery so will be able to test it out when i get back from work tomorrow. im wanting to finish this as i have to sell this to get the next project which will be a little bigger like a cb500 600 or even a 750 would be nice but that will come in time. hope you like it and be nice cos this is my first time in doing this and have now got the big big time. thatnk you to all who share their builds as it helps everyone else sort theirs and inspire.

Hello all, Found this forum recently and its fantastic, i have learnt alot so far, could of used with this a while ago as ive been having a few probs myself. Didnt know much about the mechanics and everything but always been into choppers,bobbers,cafes and hot rods so got me a cheap 250n that was real hammered and have been slowly stripping it and trying to build it up to a cafe kind of thing, taking one step at a time and learning a lot, just wish i could bloody weld. just like to say all the people who are doing their projects are a massive help and will post some pics as soon as i can. thanks
