FSA law states that even with auto renewal they have to send you the documents stating price and terms etc and allow you a cool off period of 14 days, however, the insurance company will have the right to say you as a policyholder should know the policy renewal date and therefore it was in your interests to check. but the fact that no renewal docs were received..may be in your favour, the company will have to prove they were sent to be covered their end. good luck.

I am not a fair weather biker by all accounts (except for ice and snow, obviously), but why did i stupidly buy a bike in April and getting desperate to be out riding her....rain does not put me off, but the roads are so slippery and having been off bikes for 5 years..i wanna be careful...right that's it...whinge over!!!! lol

it is only a decision you can make and totally understand your reasons....see how you feel when the warm weather is here (hopefully before 2 months grace), you know you could put her away for the winter and do her up gradually...even if you just keep the bike as a tinkering bit of fun...then you wont ever regret selling her...good luck in whatever you decide
