Dont take any notice of the others, people carriers can be great fun

if there is any damage you should see it. The inside of the front sprocket cover may be chewed a bit and sometimes your tail plastics/chain guard take a hammering but to be honest its just good that you didn't lock up.
I bit the bullet earlier this year and bought a heavy duty chain riveter which makes joing the chain easy and almost fool proof as you cant over crimp the soft rivet if seated correctly. In the long run it will save me money on paying to get chains fitted, and i just cut the old ones off with a grinder. I'm sure they do work but i never use the spring clip type links.

Always been a keen fisherman, coarse mainly until 1987-89 spent 2 years working on Ascension Island and caught loads of Tuna, Wahoo, Dorado and lost 2 Sail Fish one day Back in the UK took up trout fishing mainly at Rutland Water and got in the papers a few times with big rainbows and browns. Took up carp fishing and had over 50 twenties then a thirty and packed it up. That was 7 years ago when i bought the bike so thats it for me now. I would like to add that i have had two car accidents whilst being distracted by nice looking lakes rather than tastey birds! Is there something wrong with me?

I came across this man on German ebay and ordered a fiber glass race fairing from him. Good quality glass ready for painting, quite cheap and great service. He also does a good selection of belly pans, fairings, some seat units etc for the street fighter projects and then also good value paddock stands etc. Worth a look through.

I bought the thermal tops and bottoms and would consider all of the kit if needed. Aldi is a top shop with the tools being good as well and especially the "fury green tomatoes" although they seem to have discontinued those
The bike locks and chain look ok as well and as least as good as stuff three times the price.

Thanks mate, i will be taking it easy ha ha after all its a sports bike but yes i know what you mean. I missed out on last year due to being off the road so i would like to go to a few meets this year plus there will be about 40 SP1's and SP2's meeting at the National Bike Museum on Sunday May 12th in memory of Andy Devlin who lost his battle with cancer last year and was an SP1 owner on the facebook site. If anyone here is interested it is open to anyone who wants to hear 40 big twins having the nuts reved off them for a minute i will be pretending lol

Despite still having a list of jobs as long as my arm still to do in the new house last Monday i decided to put some more miles on the SP to get closer to that 600 mile first service/ oil change. After about 30 miles of medium paced riding at no more than 7 1/2 thousand revs i looked down to see the oil pressure light on the dash! S**T! Now bearing in mind that this bike needed a brand new engine after my last oil shortage issue last year this was the last thing i wanted to see. I imediately stopped the bike and checked the oil level in the sight glass which was ok. I started the engine but the light stayed on but didnt appear to be noisey or suffering so thinking that any damage was allready done i started slowly back towards home with the light still on. A mile down the road i banked round a corner and the light went off. I stopped again and restarted to check the bulb hadn't blown and it came on in the pre check then went off when i started again. I gradually picked up pace and ended up giving it some beans for the last 5 miles home with no further oil light issues.To be safe i did a full oil change today and dropped the sump and cleaned out the oil strainer and fitted a new filter then took it for a 15 mile spin with no issues. There were only a couple of very small specs of metal in the strainer but a few bits of sealent mastic so am hoping it was just debris fouling the pressure switch. The chap that tuned my engine said this has been known and is sure that if there had have been a propper oil issue the bike would be no longer running by now. But for the next few miles there will be something in the back of my mind. Maybe i should just put some black tape over the oil light

Got overtaken in a 40 by a guy on a R1, he went flat out through the gears could hear him bouncing it off the rev limiter in 4 of the gears. People like that don't deserve their licence. We all speed, but some just take the piss ( and get away with it )

All true but if these are just latching onto the tail waiting for some one to cock up (and that could be just a few miles over the limit and we all do that, or cross a solid white to overtake a Rover) then they're not catching the idiots. Also by latching on at the back they are inciting in a way, ive had them tail gating me in my car before.

Its not as if they're short of other work is it really, just a shame the rapists, robbers and scammers dont go around with reg plates on their backs!

Spent the first night trying to tune the freeview boxes in only to discover theres no aerial All the tv points wire back to an amp in the loft but no coax in or aerial fitted. Thats three day now watching the same Raa Raa the noisey Lion dvd with the nipper! Life without CBB's is S**T lol.

Not been able to get on here much of late, been moving house since Xmas and its been cock ups all the way but at least im not missing any good biking weather . Every time i go outside i get depressed, and the bike is kept in my mates shop 8 miles away o i cant even get out and tinker or polish for the odd hour. Anyway house move is today, new house is bigger and by mid summer should have a double man cave garage with all my tools in order and not piled in plastic boxes. Roll on +10 weather and some of that sun
