Proof of God

I want to add that even when we are in communication with Him there will be attacks but like Connie said, we will win! I have been attacked when I could not have been any closer to God. I borrowed a Christian book by Watchman Nee from some person who was supposed to be a Christian and after trying to read it I was SERIOUSLY attacked by some demon in my head. Thankfully, we have authority over them because I went to my pastor had him pray and that was the end of that. BUT I lived such a sanctified life that I was AMAZED that I could be attacked like that, and honestly, I get attacked more when I'm devoted to the kingdom than when I was not.

I have experienced the same thing. I TOTALLY believe that watching things that are demonic gives them access to harass.

I'm not saying Christians can be completely controlled/possessed by demons but people certainly do have demonic attacks in their minds and their bodies, even when Spirit filled. Thank the LORD that He left us with the authority to kick those spirits out, but there are still battles with them on the battlefield. Yep. I agree.

I 150% agree with your statement above. However, I don't think that randomhit10 was referring to the general case; I think she was referring to people who intentionally/willfully cross the line to explore and/or participate in the spiritual world knowing that this is disobedience - e.g., witchcraft, attempting to contact the dead, psychics, etc. What happens to them? I can tell you from personal experience that you CAN be a born again Christian and be attacked in your body and mind by demons. I believe that many illnesses are the result of demonic power and I personally have been attacked by spirits while praying for people. Think about it, when we pray for people to be healed, Christian, or no, I've heard many Christians pray and take authority over spirits of sickness and disease, even when praying for Christians. That the person has a spirit of infirmity means a spirit was infecting a Christian. I'm not saying Christians can be completely controlled/possessed by demons but people certainly do have demonic attacks in their minds and their bodies, even when Spirit filled. I think the question is, is it a sin to go hunting for ghosts? (Which basically are spirits.) My opinion is this; God doesn't want us seeking spirits of dead people in place of him. The issue with contacting the dead in the bible was that people contacted them to get answers from them (supernatural answers) instead of waiting on and/or seeking God. Is it a good idea to go messing around in the spirit realm when we basically have no idea what we are doing? NO! My personal opinion is that it might not be a sin to ghost hunt but instead of asking people, who basically are usually only barely hitting the surface of any true knowledge of the spiritual realm, my advice is to ask God for the low down. He is the ONLY One that I would trust to answer that question because I'd be afraid for my safety mucking around in that kind of territory. Love, mia

Amen, sister! This part right here is SO ME!! I don't approach people for prayer/prophecy either...I want God to come to me 100%. I think it's because deep down I want to know that he hears me. I mean I know he does, but sometimes the "reassurance" that he's listening to me when things get hard, does me good when it comes without me asking others for it. I am that way because when I am this way there is a divine intimacy between me and God that is absolutely priceless. The private matters in my heart are between me and Him. It makes living on earth bearable until the day comes when I am truly standing in His presence. The GREAT blessing that I have is that there is a TRULY gifted prophetess at our church that is 100% accurate (and has been for twenty years) in hearing from God without ANY human knowledge of a situation. We are kindred spirits. =)

At church today, from beginning to end I was just praying for a prophetic word from God. I mean literally, the entire time my heart was just filled with the need to hear from Him about this but I determined NOT to approach anyone for for prayer/prophecy that God was going to have to do it 100% without me seeking it out. Soon as the service ends, the resident prophetess crooks her right index finger at me to come forward and gives me THE WORD I was so desprate to hear. GOD IS SO GOOD, ALL THE TIME! OH I just worship Him and Praise Him and love Him so much for the wonderful care He takes of me. My breakthrough is coming. Hang on. This is His doing. It might seem hard but the breakthrough IS COMING. Hang on. GLORY, GLORY, GLORY, to THE MOST HIGH, ALMIGHTY! Thank you so much, Abba Father. Thank YOU. Thank YOU. THANK YOU! God, you are SO GOOD.
