  1. The first year I homeschooled my kids (2nd, 4th, & 6th grades) I pieced together their curriculum. I even used books I got at Sam's Club. At the end of each school year, I'd have them tested by a Christian school. The following years I tried Abekka and found my favorite curriculum to be Switched-On Schoolhouse. It has all of the lessons on computer. By 9th grade, they were all back in public school simply because I felt that they no longer needed to be homeschooled.
I hope you will one day be able to give homeschooling a try and I hope it works out for you as well or better than it did for me and mine. Two went on to college (one graduated Suma cum, and the other magna cum laude) and one joined the military.
I did not have a degree, but I am gifted to teach. So, I guess that helped. Oh yeah, I'm somewhat of a patient person. If you're short tempered, I'd recommend you not homeschool. Just zayin'.
Would love to hear if you ever decide to give it a try.

  2. That's cool, white shadow. My snippets/phrases usually last a while too, except for the "Stop in the name of love" one. Only needed to hear that one once! hee hee
For me, it's nice to hear that other's experience the same thing. And also, there just might be someone out there wondering why these thoughts are coming to their mind when they have been trying to avoid "secular" music, and all the while it is FatherGod trying to talk to them.

  3. So, back to the question. Has God ever spoken to any of you out there through like a snippit of a secular song? For me, it's always just a snippet just before I wake up. I'd really like to hear from some of those He has, It would be interesting to hear what He said to you. Just trying to carry on a conversation here in the "fellowship" hall.

  4. Here is my "God guided" opinion for you:

Proverbs 18:22 He who finds a wife finds a good thing And obtains favor from the LORD.

You don't have to "search" and hope and wish for a husband. Be patient and if it's meant to be, a man WILL find you.

Marriage is not a party and it is NOT easy. Prepare yourself to be a good wife, by first being a good bride to Christ. Work on your character. Are you patient, kind, gentle, longsuffering, loving (agape kind of love)?
Dreams from God do NOT cause one to "go mad". Torment is of the enemy. Just knowing that you are tormented tells me that you should let these dreams go and focus on receiving love from God/Jesus instead of desperately seeking to obtain an imperfect love from a guy who doesn't care for you.

I've been there and done that. And even had a dream about it after it was done. God is saving you from misery, yet you continue to seek after it. As a sister in Christ and a servant of the Most High God, I too want to save you from misery.

Ask God to GIVE you a desire to seek after HIM with all your heart. Ask God to stir up the desire in you to want to seek after HIM with all your heart. Matthew 6:33 says, Seek you first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto you. Seek God first and things will be ADDED. You won't have to search for a boyfriend or husband. You won't have to guess about a dream. Trust God to provide for you and He definitely will. He did it for me and He'll do it for you because He is not "respector of persons". God doesn't play favorites. HE loves you just as much as He loves me.

    Here's a song for you:

Please listen to it if at all possible. It's called "With All My Heart" by Babbie Mason.

God loves you with ALL of HIS heart and does NOT desire for you to be tormented. God love you more than any man ever will. Look to Him for your satisfaction.

  5. In this dream I'm standing in my mother's living room and looking out of the large picture window. I see a school bus outside, (the road is very close to the house in the dream and in real life) and I can see into the bus. The bus is headed "up the road". Anyway on the school bus, there are children of different ages and I hear a young male child say "come jesus", but he actually pronounced it "come thee-thus". I knew that he pronounced it that way because he was young and not because he had a lisp or any disability. Although I never actually saw the child, I knew he was seated close behind the school bus driver.

    Any thoughts?

  6. Old post, I know. But why did you not pray, "God by Your grace and mercy, help me to be on time"? Maybe the guys were cold towards you BECAUSE you were late, which probably could have been prevented had you prayed.

For me, in cases like these, I always pray for the grace and mercy of God. I believe He shows me beforehand just so that I might pray. This gives God plenty opportunity to show Himself strong, merciful, kind and good on my behalf.

  7. Find an easier version of the bible, online perhaps, and start with that. But since this post is over a year old, I surely hope you've established a bible reading habit of some sort by now. However, if you haven't, like I said, try an easy reading version to get you in the habit.

Most importantly, ask God to stir up in you the desire to read HIS word. The enemy of our souls will do his best to keep all desire to read the word of God suppressed.

Also, no matter how good a movie is, it has probably taken some liberties with the script and added in some stuff that is NOT true. So if you don't already know the truth, you'll take in some info as the truth, and when you actually find out the truth, then you're going to have to wash out the lies.

Grace and Peace to you. Hope to hear from you one day that you love reading the Lord's word.

  8. So Sister in Christ, how is tweeting going for you? I joined in Jan of 2012 and then haven't checked back in for like 6 months. I think I'll search for my password and try it again. Maybe this time, I'll be successful in using it as a ministry tool.
Are you using yours as a ministry tool, or just for fun?

  9. Before the Throne of God Above - Sojourn (Lyrics on screen) Please look this up on youtube if you can and see if it speaks to you.
Haven't a clue as to how this song relates, but it is what came to my mind as I sat and listened for God to tell me something.
Sorry I couldn't just post a link, but I have to be a member for 7 days before I can post external links and I think I have one more day to go.
    Grace and Peace to ya.

  10. Was it a body of water, running water, stagnant water, clear water, bowl, cup, sink full of water? Feet and hands totally in the water?

Here are some thoughts for you to think on:

Testing the waters in some new areas are you? Something you really want to get into (spiritual or physical, I don't know), but you're finding it, or are going to find it refreshing! Ahhh. So nice.

Possibly, God is going to present you with some new and interesting ideas or allow new and interesting ideas and opportunities to come your way. You will have the opportunity to try them out before you make a decision.

I feel that you're going to have to make some important decisions, but don't go on your "feelings". Make sure it lines up with the Word of God.

These are the thoughts that came to my mind as I listened to hear from God.
    Love you and blessings.

  11. I tried to post a link and found out I'm too new to post a link.
I wanted to share with you a song "There is therefore now no condemnation." Romans 8:1,2 I've been singing it for about 25 years now to whomever I meet who tends to be critical and condemning of themselves. Melodic tune that helps to keep the word prominent in the memory.
You can find it on youtube if you'd like to hear it. Integrity music put out the version I was going to post. The cover says TRUTH/Praise.

  12. I'm hoping this dream means God "arrested" his (your husband's) heart and he turned his heart over to God, (died to self, became obedient to God) and began to live for Jesus. Since you already live for Jesus (are there before your husband), you can testify that living your life for Jesus is wonderful/joyful/and totally fulfilling. Just my thoughts and hopes for you.
Anyway, praying God's mercy over and for the health of your husband and your sister's father in law.

  13. Does God ever speak to you through portions of secular music?

Generally, when He does in my life, it's right before I'm fully awake in the morning. I don't intentionally listen to secular music. Can't avoid it in stores, movies etc. Anyway, sometimes God speaks to me through PORTIONS of secular music. Old music. Like once He told me "Stop in the name of love, before you break My heart" - Supremes I think. I got the message and repented/straightened up.

Another time He told me, "there's something 'bout your love, that makes me weak and knocks Me off my feet" - Stevie Wonder. See, I told you they were old. Anyway, it's nice to hear Him tell me He likes my love for Him.

Here's a current one. Try not to laugh. In one commercial there's this one lady standing at a keyboard singing "This girl is on fire!" I thought she had a really nice voice and wondered if she was a famous singer or just someone doing a commercial. :-) I asked my kids if they knew who she was if anybody famous. It was Alicia Keyes for those who haven't seen the commercial or heard the song. I still wouldn't recognize her today if I met her on the street. Told ya I don't listen to secular music.Anyway, God spoke to me "This girl is on fire" in regards to something He was/is teaching me. That was so cool!

So, back to the question. Does God or has He ever spoken to you through portions of secular music? I know I'm not the only one.

Hey!!!! Maybe these are musical visions... although I've never heard of such a thing. God can get His point across anyway He chooses. Right? Right.
