elgee 0 Posted May 28, 2009 Hi all! This will be my thread for any future WIP on my customs before going up onto my blog. For those who do not know me, I am from Malaysia (like most of them) and I love customs! I have been doing customs previously, here are some of my humble works, in order:Spoiler: #1 Honda Civic Si#2 Ford Mustang GT#3 Volkswagen Golf GTI#4 Lancer Evo X#5 Hiway Hauler #6 Nissan Skyline#7 Mini Cooper#8 Lancer Evo VII#9 Honda Civic Si#10 AE86 CorollaAnd those were customs I did before in Malaysia! Now I'm in Australia, I have settled down well and will attempt to start customization works again. Do check back for any new updates! Alternatively, if you are interested in customs, do visit my blog as I share some methods that I use for customizations. Cheers!

elgee 0 Posted August 5, 2009 Haha, apologies for the long lay off. I took a break after exams and it took a while to get all the stuff. Excuses I know, but I needed a little break from these little cars. :-)Anyway, this was supposed to be a custom for the group built. However, recently I just managed to get almost all the necessary tools to customize it. Thanks to cham's prompting I got to work and here's today's progress for the Canyon Carver.Setting it free from the pack:Starting surgery:Surgery part one successful!Paint stripping:Casting sanded and smoothened for paint:Into the paint shop, primer coat 1:Primer coat 2:The canyon carver is now sitting in the paint shop waiting for to primer to dry. Cheers!WAAAIT!What about the custom beetle? Um, well, here it is.Yup, nothing's been done to it as of now. That's cos I couldn't think of something good for it. But I have now! Will work on it after the canyon carver. :-)

I chose to retain the Beetle, Tri & BEATle me sounds too arrogant haha! I shy. Anyway, some small updates. If you noticed from the previous spoiler picture, there were gaps between the chassis, body and interior that needed to be filled. So today was putty day.Cut the exhaust from the original chassis:Patching up holes and rebuilding areas that have been cut off:Putty work on the bottom chassis:Dry fitting:Spoiler: Yay! No more gaps and holes. Just need more sanding work to shape more areas of the putty before putting colour onto thie baby.
