[HWCM 2nd GROUP BUILD] Twin Mill III - Complete

Recommended Posts

Thought I'd better post what I have so far, since i'm crazy busy at work, and also fixing up the house to sell, so ther in not much time to customize.

Pics of the Twin Mill III with the paint job done, hope I can still find time to detail the engine and do a wheel swap before the deadline.

Thanks for looking.

Yes, it is airbrushed, I have only just started using it and love experimenting with it.

On the Twin Mill III, this was the first paintjob I did on it

I didn't like it, so it went straight back into the thinners and I started again.
With the airbrush it is fun learning, even if it is from mistakes Smile

Wow.... Mike Levalle.... Nub..... that's what I call a compliment.... thanks guys.
I am using the technique learned from watching some videos of Mike doing True Fire, so I guess I'm not doing too bad a copying him Very Happy
I'll make a tutorial post on how I painted it.

kinda...bashed sideways! LOL

seriously hard to do what you did without a air-brush...now trying to source for those small fine, thin nozzles you get when you bu them mosquito sprays, to try fit on the spray cans nozzle - that's the closests I can think of to control the concentration of paint like an air-brush Razz..

The Twin Mill III is as finished as my time will allow... just too busy with other things sad

Added some fuel injection hoses and did a wheel swap.

I have said before that I am not really into HW originals, but I grew to like this casting while building it..... so much so that I went back to the shop and bought the other 4 they had on the rack Very Happy

Hope you like the pics

Thanks for looking

Thanks for all the compliments guys, I really appreciate it, but I'm sorry to say that.....it looks even better in real life......digital cameras are not good at reds, and a lot of shading disappears in the photos. Neutral

fantastic paint work thorrr!!! how did you do that hose injection cables, by the scales of the hose, it's incredible small and tiny that match the engine scales!!! clap

The braided hoses for the injection is silver sewing thread, I bought a small roll... it is 100m, that should last me the rest of my life Very Happy

Good idea Thorrr!!! Never think of this braided hose can do wonders, i mean in scale models especially comes to engine's details. Thanks for the info! lol!
