SisterinChrist 0 Posted February 15, 2011 Hello friends.. Can certain movies bring in bad spirits? Im not into scary movies or anything. Actually I like to stick with anything positive, but i was just curious. Like those excorsim movies? or other horror flicks? Is it possible? I heard it from a few people and wanted to know more about this.
Dove-Solutions 0 Posted February 16, 2011 I agree with dreamster. It opens the door for them to come in. So yes they can. Do not be fooled. The enemy will use any tactic he can to come in. He needs permission. When we open ourselves to certain things we give him permission. Love in Jesus,Connie

Dove-Solutions 0 Posted February 21, 2011 Movies, TV, Radio any media really. Just listen to the news these days. Everything is so negative and they talk of murder, theft and everything is news worthy if it is gossip and the like. We listen to it everyday. What we hear we eventually believe, yes. So we must be mindful of what and how much we listen. Just my thoughts.
John7 0 Posted February 21, 2011 I believe theres a lot of bad movies and TV shows out there. These days you can barely turn on the television without watching something thats borderline pornography, and watching that kind of stuff can really bring in spirits of lust I believe. Also a lot of these horror movies and new age tv series on TV, are so full of the occult and witchcraft its just beyond belief. I definitely think watching these new age witchcraft shows life charmed etc can bring in spirits. However on another note, some movies have actually increased my faith. Recently I watched a sci fi movie called "inception" which was about dreams, and to be honest, the movie actually increased my faith and helped me to get back in studying dreams in the Bible. SisterinChrist 0 Posted February 21, 2011 Yes i agree John... i stay away frm those witchcraft show's and movies.. thy really freak me out.. seems that all the daytime shows r all about sx .. can easily get the spirit of lust... i did watch Inception as well and really liked the movie.. christi85 0 Posted February 28, 2011 I'm with you sister, I love light hearted comedy movies and kid stuff. No drama or violence for me! I've not consistently watched 'regular' tv in like 10years. for awhile I watched the science channel and discovery channel, but then the 'reality tv' craze took them over too. Last time I had cable TV I watched HGTV and the travel channel all the time, LOVE IT :-) When Samantha Brown retires, I would like to step in!the reason I didn't watch other stuff was for the the same reasons you guys are talking about, I didn't know it at the time, but it was just like I've always had this really sensitive spirit. I don't like violence or drama. My friends were watching saw once and I watched it with them. It really bothered me. Not the movie per se, but the fact that a human being could even think that way to write the script and furthermore that it would have so much success. I have a weird way of thinking about things -lol-What we hear we eventually believe, yes. So we must be mindful of what and how much we listen. Just my thoughts....word. I mean we don't have to take it to the extreme, but you know how you can just kinda sense what grieves His spirit and what doesn't? I think it's just yielding to that unction. hind'sfeet 1 Posted March 1, 2011 Christi, My friends were watching saw once and I watched it with them. It really bothered me. Not the movie per se, but the fact that a human being could even think that way to write the script I totally thought the same thing. How depraved minds can be, is beyond belief. The Bible says that the heart is so wicked that no one can know how wicked it can be. D, man, I grew up with all those shows, don't think I could watch another one I really love the all the science and history channels, lots of good series shows and fascinating stuff. I've been trying to stay away from anything murderous and overtly sexual. As far as day time tv goes like all those judge 'whoever' shows, and dramas, I don't watch any of them anymore. I don't even watch Dr. phil or oprah anymore. Too much meanness and negativity. I remember the first time I ever watched a "bad movie" was robo cop (it had just come out and I was in middle school), I felt sick inside for the rest of the day and my day was ruined. It's not like I hadn't snuck to watch dragon slayer when I was a kid, that just wasn't the same as robo cop. I do watch war movies, mostly only ones I haven't seen. owen 0 Posted March 2, 2011 I have a pile of christian movies in my room. With regards to non christian movies, I am very choosy, only clean and wholesome. But yes, I believe movies are one of the most effective influential seducing instrument to divert the young minds into worldly living.Christian parents must be cautious and aware of what their children are watching. christi85 0 Posted March 2, 2011 I don't know how my mom did it, but she was somehow able to tightly monitor my sister and I's TV watching. It helped that we didn't have cable until I was 12 and that network TV seemed to have a much higher moral standard in those days. When I was growing power rangers were the in thing, but I wasn't allowed to watch it because it was too violent. WTG mom :-)Anyways, I still remember the first time I saw violence. I was maybe 5 or 6. It was a clip played on the evening news of two adults getting into a brawl. I cried about it. I thought, wait a minute, these are adults! They aren't supposed to act like kids. It pretty much shattered my word to discover that adults weren't smart enough not to hit each other.Slowly my dad snuck in the simpsons. A curse jar was then put in place (where u had to put money in it every time you used a swear word... but she eventually lost that battle then the whole family when to hell in a hand basket. Until 10 or 12 years later when I got saved and brought that anointing back to them. They are still cursing... I'm hoping that will stop soon. Maybe I could try the good ol swear jar -lol-

hind'sfeet 1 Posted March 5, 2011 Well, to me it was an adult show, unless they were Lucille ball or Gilligan, they were too adult for me I didn't like how they would always yell at eachother esp. the one husband to his wife.
