There is a post in the help and advise section explaining about facebook security settings. The majority of people know about not clicking on links esp those asking for personal information. But not many know how to hide your email address, which as far as I am concerned is the most improtant one. Without that, nobody can access your facebook. Its is so simple to set it so only you can see it in your profile.

AS far as I am aware it has been fixed ...you can still drag things into your box but they won't stay in there and as you say ..will reappear in the room you took them from, just like the fairies

if you open up your notification page there is a list on the right that you can tick to allow notifications or not ...is that what you mean ?
