  1. LOl, yaaaay. Am also starting to fade now Boogs, you must've got to me, but both the Lads are outside, I only did about 10 PS visits all day, and I'm watching a programme on TV, so I feel I have to see it through! Can't get on to PS
  2. HORLICKS!!! I haven't had a Horlicks chum for ever and a day!!!
  3. Far too much to go in to here Boogs, but, essentially having followed the case a lot, I have a lot of sympathy for the whole family - not least Kay Gilderdale. Night honey x
  4. aaaw I took too long typing. Night Marie, Night Boogs, both of you off before half nine, I'm hardcore then ROFL! Neither of ours ever ate anything they shouldn't, nor put anything where it shouldn't go, either Boogs really shouldn't tell more tales on Caz - I haven't recovered from the big fart debacle!
  5. Am also sorry to hear about the pea, Marie - I've got Tweezerman tweezers, I'd be tempted... Wow a big Superbowl party, you'll have to let us know who we're cheering for (not that I'll be up, or, given my record, maybe I will !) My programme was a bit harrowing, it was a documentary about Kay Gilderdale, who lives in our village (don't know her though) Long, long story, assisted her long term sick, daughter's suicide (daughter was 31 and Kay had been her full time carer since she was 14) - she pleaded guilty to that charge, but the DPP 'at the highest level' decided to charge her with attempted murder - despite 3 high court judges saying that was unbelievable. Anyway, in the end, last week, the jury, unanimously, found her not guilty of attempted murder, and the judge gave her a one year suspended sentence for assisted suicide. A friend and I have fallen out over this case - I feel she's shown absolutely no compassion. It really got me thinking, as you can tell! Tanya, can you do something slightly less gothic in font style? (please)
  6. Hey Marie, how are you? Hi Tanya.! That looks pretty cool to me! oooh the page turned and I wouldn't have seen unless it was quoted, it looks good Tanya, perhaps for next thread or the one around the 14th? Anyone feel free to start a new thread, please. Have a really good rest, and thanks - for the vote on the bathroom.
  7. hi Boogs, kind of half here, am watching the Panorama programme that's coming on right now - this lady is from our village! I missed you loads too xxx
  8. It's freezing (and then some) just going to eat a home made Cottage Pie with a cheesy mash topping -real comfort food! Sending Mrs SIB the very best of British! (luck, obv) let us know how it goes, and yes, put a smile on Chup's face as soon as the weather picks up! lol. Off to eat, see you x
  9. LOL Tweet didn't see your post before...I diagnose that you have either a racing car, or, a very, very expensive road car - fixation!
  10. Heya SIB,why is Chup looking so sad? a pet's mean to do great things for you! Zoonie's pet's blue too. I'm trying to find out how many colours there are? so far, black, buff, blue and pink, for sure. How are you and Mrs SIB doing? We had a severe hoar frost this morning and IMOM's train was delayed.
  11. OK Mindy, have a good day
  12. See you Army Names are a funny thing really Mindy - I chose Zoonie's petling name after Socks who we're fostering, only Zoonie's pet is named Sox.
  13. My other half and I always say that I Can't Live (if living is without you) by Nilsson, is 'our song; but considering the song was written about a suicide, it's not perhaps as appropriate as it might appear One of our other favourites (see my sentimental side) is Fields of Gold, by Sting.
  14. I just typed some revisions. The other luxury bit is that there's electrical underfloor heating too. Am kind of pleased you like it Army. The limestone, granite and the wood are all lovely
  15. Hee Hee you wouldn't know, it's a kind of acronym-ish meaning Beverage/Keyboard/Interface, some kind of city-speak for when you spit your drink out over your keyboard 77MINDY!!!! Hello angel, aaaw so adorable, how the name though? how? Neither of us bathe really, IMOM never, and me err, possibly when we go on a beach holiday - we both shower. although the cupboard in the corner is a curved front set on the corner, not straight, and the shower floor is mosaic tiled like the windowsill and the skirting board area - which is the same granite as the hand basins are set into, and, there are cupboards down the side of the vanity area too.
  16. Well yes, you would be right. The thing is, it's the main bathroom we're having done and so it has to fit with the rest of the house. The hall, stairs and landing are fairly grand really, it was all done before we bought the house, so it's no good going ultra modern (with Georgian style windows and fancy coving etc.) The most radical style decision was to for go a bath and just have a very large shower
  17. I'm usually the Mrs. Fixit! in our house, but sadly neither can be done, and to be fair, under guarantee, why should I meddle with them? Army, that will be lovely then when it's done - ours is costing an arm and a leg, take it from me. OMG nearly had a Bikkie moment, IMOM is making me roar with laughter.
  18. I like sewing, but I enjoy hand sewing best. Today I also made calls about the TV needing a repair (for the inbuilt DVD) and the kettle which has a fault - the lid wont open. I bought it from House of Fraser on line, the lady on the phone said, can you take it back to your nearest store? pointed out that I'd bought it on line because our nearest store is a round trip of nearly 90 miles Doh!
  19. My day has been a bit same old/same old. Builder finished tiling and grouting the floor and window sill today (plus the area that's serving as a skirting board) oh and the shower tray. And he put up a corner cupboard too (am taking photos for a slide show of progress) Tomorrow he'll tile the shower area (walls) and then after that it should come on in a huge leap.
  20. Thanks Army, and oooh 'citing Wish, thank you - sorry to run out on your earlier
  21. Eeek Wish will you pop my wine back in the fridge for a wee while please, I have to go for a while, but, like Arnie...will be back!
  22. Oh lovely No problem with the trade, although I'd convinced myself this morning that it was Tanya rather than you I remembered though once she said it wasn't her. Frannie kindly gifted Zoonie an apron and a heart shaped pillow, but I don't think I've seen the cupid doll?
