  10. I can certianly relate to all in this topic. I've also suffered low self esteem most of my life. And was made fun of quite a bit all throughout school (except college) for being weird and being "a freak." It finally made me feel not good enough after enough time of hearing it. I'm fighting hard not to slip back into it lately...I've gained a lot of weight back, which was always what made me feel so badly about myself and my looks. It's been starting to get to me lately and have decided to get on top of some eating better and healthier and some activity and excercise! Before when I lost a significant amount of weight I finally felt pretty, and happy and slowly...more self confident. Now I feel like all of that has gone down the tubes right with my healthy slimmer body. So I'm trying to do something about it...but sometimes it's hard to not give in to the self-esteem trap and convince yourself you aren't good enough, and really you have been all along it's only seeing it that's the real problem.

    Horror films

I adore scary movies. LMAO My boyfriend is the one who sometimes refuses to watch certian ones, esp in my old house that he is slightly frightened of spirits and whatnot. But I love them. The gory ones used to not bother me but Lea anymore I'm kinda with you, I start imagining it and it really sicks me out cuz I get to thinking of what that would be like if it were happening to me ugh *shudders* But I love most of em, esp Rob Zombies version of Halloween, as well as his house of 1000 corpses movies, I love the people under the stairs, candyman, and soooo many others I could never name them all, I enjoy the mind game ones too, the saw ones were great before they went overboard with it, I loved the ring and the ring 2 before the overdid them, and the movie Shutter by I think the same person. Man theres more I was thinking of but I can't put my finger on em. But I love scary movies, they are awesome!!! Loved em since I was a kid!
  12. I think a lot of people will really miss Oprah, but I do think she deserves a break totally. However, like many of you...I wonder what will happen next. She doesn't seem the type to just sit around and do nothing with all her money and influence, she's the type it seems that enjoys making a difference in other peoples lives, and so I imagine her going on to do more charity work, or involvement with good causes. Seems to be a calling for her to help people My mom used to watch Oprah quite often, I don't as much now, but I still really like, admire and respect her a whole bunch. I'll miss her show!
  13. I got the Hideeni Squirell, I find it trippy that Hideeni changed the outfit lol. I like the lil squirell guy though!! I really want all the MB items as I'm obsessed with Purple....GAH!!! Better go open more boxes!
  14. Cool contest idea and congrats winners! Very interesting stuff right here
  15. Oh I'm on it with that plain brown one lol, I want one of those too, cuz they'd go with darn near anything, but Sphinx has forgotten to do her daily visits a few days here and there..... So we are watching our coins And focusing on what we either a.) REALLY REALLY REALLY want, or b.) TWS that we at least kind of want and know we may be kicking ourself if we don't get them while the gettin's good!! And no problem, as far as the door tip. Isn't that a great way to hide it and be able to put stairs somewhere that don't block EVERYTHING, I mean, like...dual purpose for both things really.
  16. Hi everyone, good morning to those of you just getting up! Hope everyone is well!
  17. *big hugs* Sorry to hear you are down with illness and not feeling well. You know we all miss ya and care very much about you. Can't wait til you're feeling well again and no pain and able to join us in some fun! take care of yourself sweetie!
  18. I sucked it up and bought the pink one They are gorgeous, and also great for hiding a door behind if you don't like the space a door takes up in your main room yet you want to automatically go there, folks to visit there, and mail to go there, and then it'll go right in front of your steps. Though they are HUGE I'll tell everyone now. I have one in my main room atm, but may switch it up in a day or so to decorate for thanksgiving. Man, I shouldn't have spent all those coins but for now only bought TWS Pink one, was so cute, I'll get the plain one later....I'm sure. I like em. I liked a bunch of stuff really. (this was supposed to be me, but Mom was still logged in-can a mod delete the post made above as her?)
  19. OMG I am loving so much of the new stuff!!! The purple makeup things. Awesome! The stairs are also awesome, I am tending to wanna think Lea is right that only the brown ones will end up in regular shops. I really LOVE LOVE LOVE the squirrel and the cute (what someone said looks like Brown Jello) YAY! Diggin the new wallpaper, hope they add a matching floor and more of both The chests, the flowered furniture and the birdhouse are rather spectacular too!! well...I'm off to finish getting ready for work
  20. I didn't do this, but saw it online nad thought it was eye catching
  21. But instead of an exotic croc or another headline-grabbing beast, the name of the late Australian naturalist is being lent to a humble snail. The tree snail, Crikey steveirwini, lives in the mountainous regions of north Queensland near Cairns. Queensland Museum scientist Dr John Stanisic, who discovered the snail, said it shared some unique qualities with its namesake. "In contrast with its more drab coloured ground-dwelling relatives, Crikey steveirwini is a colourful snail, with swirling bands of creamy yellow, orange-brown and chocolate giving the shell an overall khaki appearance," he said. "It was the khaki colour that immediately drew the connection to the late Crocodile Hunter." The 44-year-old, known for exclaiming "Crikey" when confronted with a particularly deadly animal, habitually wore a khaki shirt and shorts during his on-camera encounters with the natural world. The extremely rare snail has only been found in three places, on the summits of high mountains in far north Queensland and at altitudes above 1,000 metres. "These mountainous habitats will be among the first to feel the effects of climate change and Steve Irwin's tree snail could become a focal species for monitoring this change," Dr Stanisic added. Irwin's widow Terri said the naturalist would have been delighted to have a new species bear his name and signature cry. She said: "Steve also had a long history of collaborating with staff at the Queensland Museum and I'm sure he would be pleased to know his name is continuing to highlight a rare and endangered Queensland species." Dr Stanisic will present a commemorative certificate to the Irwin family on Sunday as part of Steve Irwin Day celebrations at Australia Zoo, which he co-owned with his wife. Irwin's daredevil antics, which saw him go face-to-face with deadly creatures such as crocodiles and poisonous snakes, won him a global following. He was killed in September 2006 in a freak accident involving a stingray as he filmed an underwater documentary off Australia's northeast coast
