with mine mike there not useless,but just seem very poor,compared to the four pots on my old b6
Im going to fit some sinterd pads over the winter months
I did strip them when I got the bike gave them a good clean and it made no differance at all
Ive even checked the brake fluid and its fine -

It had a new sump gasket and water temp sensor about 2 month ago then this started, but it only started dripping over the weekend so hoping the clutch is ok.
