Just treated meself :)

Not had a problem with wear on renthal sprockets....on my second rear renthal sprocket, first one lasted around 38-40,000mls. Only changed it because the chain was on its way out and wanted to renew everything at the same time. The sprocket was worn but still had loads of miles left in it. Second one is currently on around 10,000mls and showing no signs of wear. trev -
I think they had one in the Milestone of the Mountain parade lap yesterday on the tt course. Murry Walker did a fantastic job seeing the bikes off one by one and giving a potted history of the bikes and riders...you can listen to it again here. http://www.manxradio.com/listen.aspx A good listen for fans of the old bikes/riders of the tt. trev

There was one at Matlock last week.....not sure about the styling, retro with modern forks (ohlins!)ect, it was a mixture of red/gold/black. Much prefer the single colour ones. The guy who presented the motorbike show on ITV4 this week has one. Heard the guy announce it on the Manx tt radio yesterday, they just missed developing a competitive bike for this years tt, but promised they will be at next years with a bike that will do the name justice. Good pics Andy.....Brill day all round, enjoyable walkabout and natter, bellyful of chips, ice cream and coffee ....and the sun came out! .....good ride back although it was getting nippy around Buxton....it is June isn't it?? Was expecting the cameras to be out on the road to Buxton, and we weren't disappointed.....a bit sobering going past the guy that had come off at the bottom of Via Gellia though, at least he looked ok. trev -

Rob (trebor) & Davehuch's meet&rideout 22nd May
gtman replied to Davehutch-hutchs's topic in Rideout's and Events
Good ride out Dave, nice roads and the weather held off, although it was a trifle blustery at points Nice to meet a few other forum members and put faces to names. You ought to feel proud mate, not many folk could rustle up 13 bikes from all over the place for a rideout........(or was it the promise of bacon butties on arrival ) Nice one. Trev -

Motorbike tyre repair kits
gtman replied to a topic in Advice on Repairing and maintaining your bike
They are quite simple to use really, its a bit scary the first time if you've never used one but just follow the instructions and you'll be able to fix 90% of the punctures you get. The repair is done while the wheel is on the bike and pumped back up with the supplied Co2 cartridges. Once you've located the hole, if its within the tolerances that can be repaired by the kit, you first roughen the edges around the hole with the supplied tool. Liberally coat the hole and the plug with the repair glue, shove the plug into the hole with the "T" bar tool, with my kit you need to push the plug right through to the inside of the tyre. Then draw the plug back out half way through the hole and take the "T" bar off....I then left mine to set for 10 or 15 minutes, then its just a matter of cutting off the excess sticking out of the hole and re-inflating with the supplied cartridges. Sometimes you need all three to get to a decent ridable pressure. You should check the pressure at the earliest opportunity, especially if you've got a fair distance to go. 30 minutes should see you back on the road. Trev -
I sorted out the visor stickers for the Bandit Owners Club a few years back, I think it was a guy from Birmingham way that made them. I might still have his contact details somewhere if you want them Dave. Having said that the site name probably doesn't lend itself to a visor sticker as some other names do but I think he did other types of stickers as well. Here's the one for the Bandit Club.

Just stumbled upon a mint maroon Mk2 1200 (the best one! )....its in Martyns Breakers just down the road from me.....its a mates of the guy who runs the place, he's selling it because his garage is getting overcrowded..... '02 plate I think, 10k miles, never seen the rain, good tyres, completely standard, standard exhaust, even still got the fender extender on the rear mudguard! Didn't have time for a really good look around it but it looks immaculate ........ and if the guy can be believed its never seen the rain, been serviced regular, the owner is a "steady rider" and looks after all his bikes. He's looking for £2500 for it, he didn't know if the owner would come down anymore. Trev
