  2. Used to have some old railway watches I'll have a look but not hopeful! Do you work on a 48 hour day Dave cos I don't know how you find the time for this with everything else you do!
  3. Got some and they are good but the slave cylinder is to shallow for them to grip properly! I did, Oh yes! The bike has been sat an awful long time Dick, about 10 years!!
  4. Looks stunning in the red! just need the top box to finish it off!
  5. Cheers Lee, my brother's bike and its in a right sorry state but we'll get there!
  6. Great job Lee and a brill write up! Where did you get the little shut off valves for the vacuum extension lines? they are
  7. Just to close the thread, finally got the bugger out using a bolt in the hydraulic feed hole. Closed the bleed nipple and just slowly using small quantities of grease screwed the bolt in then unscrewed it, added more grease screwed the bolt in again etc. took some time but it worked! Think I need to invest in a small compressor! (and sorry about the blurry photo's bit to cold in the garage for the camera I think!)
  8. Thanks Lee yes removed bleed nipple and blocked hydraulic line feed, first tried air then grease, going to try soaking in plusgas then if that doesn't work bin it as a replacement can be sourced for £15 not worth the hassle really!
  9. We should have been doing your clutch mate! what you doing next Sunday?
  10. Does anyone know how to get the clutch slave cylinder piston out? tried the old air pump in the bleed nipple hole, no good! tried a grease gun on the bleed nipple, can get the piston to move flush with the cylinder casting but no further and yes I'm now covered in grease and using the hydraulics is no good as the seal has gone and air pisses past. I have used these methods numerous times on callipers and have always succeeded It looks like a second hand replacement is required but I just don't like to be beaten
  11. Great news Stue, and I'm sure thoroughly deserved its great to hear good news for once and recognition for people's hard work, well done and hope to meet you soon!
  12. Hope all goes well for you Neill, quite a big op but it will be worth it if it relieves the pain you've been suffering and as for the bike I can't see why you can't return to riding after the op as long as enough time is given for recovery but as mentioned best to speak to the specialist.
