Bedford, so not that far from Wolaston. erm, the MT03. Well, I left Flitwick motorcycles, came up to a corner, dropped down a gear, let the clutch out, engine screamed bike vibrated, and so decided that I'd maybe use the brakes on this bike more often than I normally would. It was rubbish on dual carriageways, and a hoot on twisty B roads, and quite fun down the high street. a fellow bedford biker

It's a CB12AA I'm after

It doesn't need too much work doing to it The carburettors need cleaning out Fork stanchions need rechroming Need new rear shock absorbers and new battery aaaand the frame and swinging arm need painting I only have time to work on it at weekends so I reckon it should be on the road by the end of the month And in answer to BanditMike, my restriction ends in 2 years so not long!

Finally got around to buying myself a bigger (only slightly bigger) motorcycle! Last week I spent £250 on a 1983 CB250 N It needs a few weekends worth of work doing to it before it's on the road, but I think it's worth it for the price I got it for! I'm not too bothered about the aftermarket parts on it since i'm only keeping this bike for a couple of years until i'm no longer restricted to 33bhp

Sun 18th Sept I would, but I won't have my next bike by then and my old CG can only do 60mph tops at the moment haha so I wouldn't be able to keep up with you guys anyway! rob the dads bike? nahh when I sit on my dad's KTM both of my feet are about 7 inches away from the ground i'm far too short for it! I'll let you guys know when I've got my next bike and we can organise another rideout or something!

Well done Insurance shouldn't be that bad on an old 400/4, classic policies(over 15years) are always cheaper.....but they don't let you build up no claims with a classic policy.. yeah I did look into that and the no claims thing is another reason why I'll start off on something smaller. the other thing is, a 400/4 is one of my dream motorcycles at the moment so I think I'd want at least another year's experience riding before I go trusting myself with such a beautiful machine

I'd love a late 70's 400/4, but because of insurance and what-not I'll most likely be looking at something a bit smaller like an old cb250 of sorts

I did module 1 on Monday and module 2 this morning, and thankfully passed both of them first time! Now I can finally start looking for a bigger motorcycle! and good riddance to those ugly L plates!

Just listing this on behalf of me dad to see if any of you guys would be interested : For sale, my KTM 950 Adventure First registered on 12.04.2006, this is one of the last carburettor model Adventures to be registered. I bought this beautiful motorcycle from the first owner in Nov 07 with only 1776 miles on the clock. It has now done 16864 miles. This 950 Adventure is probably as good an example as you will find anywhere; the only blemish of real note is the parking accident damage to the lower front corner of the RH pannier (see photo).
