  1. After a discussion, it has been decided that the forum will be hosting its Annual (well we did it last year ) Pre-Christmas Get-together/ Christmas Party. It will be held in the soon to be not so sleepy town of Leominster and will be on the evening of 24th November 2012. There are a few Holiday Inn/ Travelodges in the area so accomodation shouldn't be a problem. Exact venue for the evening is yet to be finalised, but there are enough locals to assist in that particular phase of planning. If we can get a rough idea of numbers, I'll call a few of the Holiday Inn/ Travelodges and see if we can organise a discounted rate, given numbers. Look forward to seeing you all there We'll do the usual "Cut and Paste" list to keep the numbers current I'll Start Mike & Angela
  2. Sounds like a plan for the 24th I'll start a new thread and see what response we get
  3. Sounds good to me mike Idea sounds great but I think thats the weekend of the Bike show NEC which we were planning to go to Just checked on the NEC website and it is Motorcycle Live (Public) 24 November - 02 December 2012, so there is the possibility of going on 1st December? Or do we move the meet to a different weekend? It would be nice to get as many people there as possible, so trying to be flexible until we finally nail down a date.
  4. I thought so The guy also had on the Rizla leathers as well The colour scheme seems to be coming more popular. It's not common, but starting to see it more often. Not a bad thing really
  5. Sounds like a plan I'll open a new thread in the events section later on. Looking forward to it
  6. It is mate. Very light after hefting round the Bandit and mine . Looking at getting it sprayed over the winter, but we'll see

    Hello

welcome on board mate. Good crowd, if a bit fruit and nut at times
  8. Bit busy on Sunday: Few nice ones: Thought Stue might like this one
  9. A few folk have had that issue. Im borderline, top of leg just fits under the tank, not an issue, I got used to it. Dont give it a 2nd thought now. Common "fix" is to lower the pegs with something like a Buell peg conversion, but loseing ground clearance with lower pegs is a big "no-no" for me. ive put buell pegs on me busa (£76 off ebay ) and theyve made a huge difference ;i could still do with higher bars though mine are lifted 20 mm Could be a fix, but I don't think the bike is one for me. I had expected it to be a nice comfortable bike to ride, but apparently not. Think I'll stick with the ZX12r. Nice 200mph, none of this limiting

  11. Same for me mate. Apologies for the belated wishes, hope it was a great day
  12. Given the interest, are we all descending on the poor town of Leominster for the Christmas get-together this year? Given we're using it as a "Christmas Party", go for late November? 24th possibly? It would be good to firm this up so people can make plans and organise. Sounds selfish, but I'll need to arrange a babysitter etc.
  13. Tried a sit on one in the showroom. For such a big bike, there's not much room from footpeg to tank. My legs felt cramped!?!!!
  14. Given the positive response, definitely one for the future For me - 2014
  15. We'll see how it goes. Goes on Fleabay shortly so should sell

    halloo

welcome on board mate. Good to see another northern member
  17. Mike it would be great to all meet up here in leominster but there wont be a party organised though...purely because we need at least 100 members to make it worth while, but would still welcome everyone down for a catch up and a few . I've put an answer in the "Xmas Party" thread. More than happy to come back down nearer the end of the year mate. As you say, would be good to get a few people together again. Looking forward to catching up in September
  18. Thanks to all for the comments, very much appreciated As I said above, they can be hard work at times and there does come a time that you can only hope they've learnt enough and that they'll be okay. I think it's time I let them both know I'm proud of what they've achieved and where they are at the moment
  19. At times mate I would agree with the above . As most people know, it's not all plain sailing and there's alot of work goes into them. All you can do is as much as you can and hope it all works out
  20. OK mate. It may be a case of looking at a suitable Travel Inn or something for people to stay in, as long as there's a suitable hostelry fairly close Not unlike what we did at Stratford last year
