ok i just found out a super quick way to open thoses gifts; ok, first u click on the lil notice board thing beside ur camera icon. then click on the bottom left gift and click the check mark and leave ur mouse pointer there and keep clicking so it opens the gift and clicks the check mark -

same here mine was loading longer than usual and it kept crashing and the mayor kept popping up. but i managed to get in... (although it took longer than 10min... as usual.. ) -
