  1. A couple of the guys out here race / tune / build watercooled GSXR1100s. There's talk of using the 1100 motor in an RF900 (with the 9's down draft head) to build an RF1100.
  2. Told my Mrs if we both put a couple of hundred $'s a month in a seperate account, by the time the kids finish school, we would have enough to buy something real special together, I have suggested we call it the.. Buy Us Something Awesome fund. She hasnt spotted its a "B U S A fund" yet...
  3. Absolutly... Didn't you see Dave when he had a test ride ?

  5. If you have a Busa and a King does that mean they cancelle them selves out, negative plus negative equals positive, then loony plus loony must equal Sensible !
  6. Welcome from Australia. Love my Busa's too, had a couple of faired ones, got a streetfightered one now. My favourite motor, 1299 or 1340.
  7. Thats OK if it suits your needs. Would be great for the right person. To me, I see it as... # It doesnt lift hight enough, # Isnt ideal when working on certain parts, # What is the cost of adapters for a different bike, # What is the wait for adapters for another bike, # Wont fit all models (older or less popular bikes) Someone had one once and used it to turn a bike sideways to store it infront of his car in a single garage. He was very happy with it. Good sides and bad.

  9. Saw something similar long a go. "Playstation Box, instructions and original packing" No comma after the word Playstation.
  10. Im not sure how real or fake that clip is, the brothers seem to have a lot of similar clip's on Youpube. Still funny though.
  11. This seems to be a bigger problem in the UK that it does out here. Which initialy seem's a bit odd as our humidity levels are sky high and stuff rusts pretty quick out here. I wonder if its partly due to bikes being stored up over winter with empty tanks and not getting regular use ?
  12. Maybe its a bit soon to mention the Muzzy 998cc kit ?
  13. Radial calipers don't HAVE to have a radial master cylinder though. Busa and B-King have the same calipers, King has radial master, but the Hayabusa doesn't.
  14. If I see a set of Busa or B-king calipers going cheap I might be tempted. The guys I know using them both say they are an improvement but not quite as good as true factory radials. If your keen you'd need to add In the cost of a good radial master cylinder too.
  15. My personal choice would be to look for another Tank. Just watch which one. All gen 1's look the same but they are not. Some have internal, some external fuel pumps. Early models are different, be warned. Gen1's were sold up to 07/08 so not all tanks are that old. Lots of Busa motors end up in mini cars / Kit cars / race and hill climb cars. They are A great source of unwanted parts.
  16. Good in theory. I used to support them. Got a bit embarrassing when the local one Was run by a guy with a non-running bike and who hasn't past his test! Some folk had too much interest in getting the right to ride without helmets or camping in a muddy field. I hope things have moved on, There's the potential to do a lot of good and supporting them is no bad thing.
  17. Not used them myself but I know a couple of Busa owners changing 6-plops to radial style 4 pots. Both are happy with the conversion. Shouldn't be hard to do for a ZX9. Might do My Busa. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=320989331572
  18. Never been a fan of 6-pots. Got them on the Busa and 1400. At best they are "OK" but nothing special. Some racing guru did explain once that its Something to do with the single pad and that Multiple pad 6 pots are very different. Lots of folk doing conversions on Busa's and I expect a ZX9R would be similar. To be honest it's personal taste. Ten's of thousands of owners are happy enough. How fussy are you? How hard to you push your bike? Do you like chopping and changing or just riding?
  19. Thanks. Not had much work recently, funds are getting eatten away. Got a call yesterday to say a customer is finally going to pay up and have been offered some work in Musclebrooke, NSW, closer to Sydney. It's FIFO (fly in fly out) but if I take it It'll only be short term. Not a fan of working away From home, although out here it pays REAL well. Lots of mines (iron and coal) after staff.
  20. Not seen any crocs this far South.... Yet ! There a few photos of platypus in there but They are very rare. There's a canoe behind the house.
  21. Sounds like an easy project and something To keep the sellers price down. Mate had an identical one, used it hard, Sold it to another of my mates Mrs. Quick bikes with the right rider and pretty tough with it. Would be a nice toy.
  22. Very nice. I like it. That's a lot of bike for the money! Is that normal for UK now ? Seems cheap. ? Hope it's a good one when you view it. Fingers crossed.
