  1. Woman stopped in the traffic near here, teenage lad crossing the road calmly jumped up onto her bonnet, walked over it and jumped down the other side. Woman went mental. I was in tears....
  2. Would be good to meet up... I recommend the East Coast, Sydney at the bottom. Gold Coast/Brisbane in the middle. Cairns/Barrier Reef at the top. All very different, all have lots to see and do.
  3. Excellent job Stue... You put my project to shame, I got fed up with trying to keep the Possum out of the house, so I wired two hanging baskets to gether and put them in a tree next to our back deck. Just walked past and there's a foot sticking out...
  4. Yan said he'd take it off the 7/12 if it didnt sell. Intersting, I'd like it just be silly. Would fit my Bandit or Slabsider. More show than anything. Serious guys all use a single turbo. There have been a few twin turbo bikes, CBX1000, Harleys, Hayabusa, B-King etc.. Extra weight, complicated, cost, space and no performance gain's.
  5. I think it's German. Not sure what it'd ride like, but it'd be a laugh and it looks as tough as hell ! Very Bloodrunners / Mad Max / judge Dread.
  6. Cant remember which were UK models and which were greys.. Kwak EL250 "Eliminator" Honda VT250C Suzuki GN250 XV250 Was there a Z/Gpz/Gpx on sale ?
  7. Interesting... I have a couple of similar stands I use for the rear but never considered using adapters to lift from the fork bottoms. Most of my bikes would have suitable forks. I might look into this. The rear bugger is the GSX1100ET. It has plastic adjusters under the fork bottoms and cant be lifted under the bottom yolk as the choke cable run's up through the stem!
  8. So "Bank Of America" wasnt the right answer then...
  9. Insurance kept it and payed her out, she was already "my Ex" by then so I wasnt involved. It would have gone through the auctions. Not sure if you remember the huge floods Brisbane had ? Flood damaged bikes are not unusual here, I saw a few go through the auctions recently. They can be repaired and used, seen it done, but often age quickly and have issue's later on with bearings, electrical components etc that were initialy OK. I'd buy her Z750 or any other flood / water damaged bike, it just needes to be real cheap and expect the worse. Flood damaged Harleys here still fetch good money, Ideal to strip down to every last nut and bolt and use as a base for a chop build.
  10. Flange, if your new to Z750's it might be worth me mentioning that they dont actually float, just in case you were wondering.... My ex-Mrs, normaly a pretty quick rider, she got it wrong that day. Now has the latest spec Z750.
  11. Pretty sure there's a way of putting the 1000 top end on the 750 bottom end. Nice bike. Ex-mrs had one and stuck it in a river!
  12. 7am. 25 degrees C. Aircon in the car on. Sunglasses on. Not a cloud in the sky.
  13. your wright jezza I saw a guy on a busa in cyprus shorts and tshirt not even any foot wear on Got a mate in Cyprus who rides a 6 cylinder CBX. Only thing he wares is a pair of shorts. Bare feet no shirt, often no helmet. Mad bugger, makes me cringe but his choice.
  14. It's not the natural choice for a drag bike. The oilcooled GSXR/Bandit before it had a lot more tuning potential as did the water cooled Hayabusa that came later. The Watercooled GSXR11's have their fans and followers but they never ruled at the drag strip or dyno shoot outs.
  15. I like it. Really interesting. Good to see something different. Would like some more info on his times, A stock Busa or King will run very low 10's out of the crate. With my very limited ability, no burn out, 40psi tyres, full height I run regular 10.3's. Got friends who easily break into the 9's in street trim. With its long arm, FCR's, Burnouts etc, the RF11 should be moving ?
  16. Bloody Hell ! So much wrong there. Too young, too small, wrong gear, push bike helmet. I'd like to think it was faked / staged but sadly it may not have been.
  17. Slept with all the window's open last night, 20 degree's all day, not a cloud in the sky.. True, but... Its the end of our winter. Cool and dry. We're about to go into Summer, Hot, humid, storm season. Its funny going down the beach and having BBQ's at Xmas but to be honest its not a great time to ride a bike.
  18. Well done Dave. Glad your happy with the exhaust and good to see your getting some miles in. . . . . . . . . . . . ( Mmmm.. 155 miles, Boy is he in for a shock when he comes out here to visit ..)
  19. My very first face to face date with Bron was on October the 31st. I have to be very careful how far I push that joke...
  20. Glad your slowly getting things sorted Garry... As I said before its a sh#t of a thing to go through, I split up with the woman I moved out here with, no family or friends for 12,000 miles ! My only bit of advice (and it may not be suitable to you?) Dont be set in stone about finding a bike loving woman. I did that 4 times! I thought we HAD to have that mutual interest, it never worked. Now for the 1st time I haver a great partner, we do lots together, share common ground, think the world of each other, just not bikes. She supports me and encourages me in everything I do, but we accept bikes are my thing not her's, She has a serious career focus and is a musician. Year's a go I wouldnt have considered a partner with no bike interest, but it really is working well. Best wishes which ever way life takes you...
  21. Someone was talking about "mid life crisis" in men, buying a big bike and chasing younger women. Hell, I've been doing that for the last 30 years !
