  1. My husband really likes his boss, who is also a Christian. He does feel like his boss isn't treated with respect by two other workers. One is a woman, who really seems to operate under a Jezebel spirit. The other is her "Ahab". But the boss is an easy going guy who doesn't like to make waves and pretty much lets her think she is getting her way. This may make it easier for him, but the other workers are really disgusted with her and her "Ahab".
As far as my husband wanting a manager position, I don't think so. He has had those before and done really well. But he is called to ministry and only sees this job as a "season" before he steps back into ministry.

  2. My husband dreamed last night that he was leaving for work when he realized one of his shoes felt wrong. He looked down and saw he was wearing our son's dress shoe on one foot and his work boot on the other. He thought to himself, "how do I explain this to the boss?"

  3. A few months ago I had a dream in which a friend brought her daughter to my house. Irl her daughter is about six months old. In my dream she was around two. I had never seen the daughter at the time of my dream, but have since seen several pictures of her and she looks exactly like she did in my dream. I am wondering if the age progression I saw in my friend's daughter is actually a time marker for me?
Along the same vein, my daughter recently had a dream in which three things happened; during the first she and her younger brother were about five years older than they are now and their older brother was married and was living elsewhere with his wife. In the next phase of the dream she was also married and both she and her older brother had a small child. In the last phase of the dream, I believe she said the small children were older. Irl all of my children are still at home, our oldest son is not married and she and her younger brother are both tween age.
Any thoughts? Could these dream be literal and the age progression be time markers?? Thanks and God bless!!

  4. Our son is serving the Lord, which is a blessing!! He is just so unmotivated about finding a job. I have cast the care of it over on the Lord and am trusting Him to speak to my son's heart. I do believe you are right, Cholette, in that his attitude is being fueled by his own unhappiness with himself. I just keep asking God to surround my son with people who will motivate him to do what is right. Thank you and God bless!!

  5. Destine,
WOW!! Another dream about 5:33 and these same people. I am not an interpreter, but it does seem as if God is really warning you strongly about this. Do you think, since it is the SAME people and the SAME time (everything focusing on that "5:33") that the Holy Spirit is saying to you that even though you do not see these people as a real threat that there is something to be on guard where they are concerned? I would think if they represented someone else they wouldn't keep showing up in your dreams as the same people. And this DT guy trying to sneak you drugs or alcohol in every dream......do you think he could have a hidden addiction?? Just my thought!! God bless.....and please, keep your spiritual eyes OPEN!!

  6. My husband and I are dealing with an incredibly hard situation. Our son moved back home a few months ago. We were so happy and it was such an answer to prayer as he was living with questionable people. He is doing well, dating a nice girl, is active in church. BUT, he will not get a job. He says he cannot find one, but I never see him trying to. He sleeps late, eats our food, uses our stuff and makes excuses about why he cannot find a job. When you mention it to him he gets angry and suddenly you are the bad guy. In the last week I had to correct him for nitpicking at his young sister in a really mean way. Now he is being really nice to her, but treating me like I have done something wrong. I have expressed my concern to my husband that we are enabling him to act this way, but he is so afraid he will move back in with the people he was living with that he is giving in to him really badly. Just this morning I had to correct him and his sister for something both my husband and I had already corrected them about. He got angry and accused me of using a "mean tone". He said I have been really mean lately and chewing "everyone" out. Granted we ARE under a lot of stress and his increasing laziness only adds to the mix. But he has never been disrespectful toward me and this hurt. What to do?? nerd

  7. My daughter (she is twelve) had a dream last night that left her deeply troubled. One was the content and the other was the realness of the dream;
She dreamed that it was about five years into the future. Our oldest son was married and lived elsewhere.Only she, our younger son and us were still at home. She said we were watching the news (it was a breaking news thing) and they said that muslims were invading America and were robbing and killing people who did not agree with them. She said it showed them marching in the streets.
Then her dream moved up a few more years. She was married and had a small daughter. Our family (in the dream this was my husband and I, our youngest son, her family and our oldest son, his wife and son) was hurrying to hide from the muslims who had reached our area. We were all in a boat, and had found a place to hide along a river (cave? cabin?). She said many of our friends were also in hiding because they would not renounce Christ. For some reason she went back to our house to get some things we needed and while there the muslims came. They told her to tell them where we were hiding and they would let her live. She gave them all our money instead and they let her go. While she was watching they grabbed another person and demanded the same thing and they sliced the person's throat (beheaded them) while she watched. She was horrified, but then the dream moved up a few years more and she said we were all gathering in a church (local one in our current area) and we and all the people who had been in hiding were rejoicing that the muslims were finally gone.
This one really left her shaken. I sense it may be prophetic (she has had prophetic dreams before). Any ideas??

  8. Destine, I had a friend in high school who actually went through a similar real life situation. She was given a coke in which a young man had slipped not alcohol but a date rape drug. Your dream reminded me of that time, because the way you described it's effects in the dream was exactly the way she had described it to me years ago. She was raped and hurt badly and it was an all around bad situation.
Do you think this dream is warning you about this young man or if perhaps he is doing this to other girls? The reason I ask is that it seems many of your dreams are prophetic in nature, as if God is revealing secret things to you through your dreams. Just a thought!!

  9. Thank you all for sharing. I am so thankful for your obedience in answering and the things you have said. Silentqueen, you asked if things had been out of order for us and all I can say is YES!!. I have been seeking the Lord about the various of areas of our lives that have been seemingly disjointed or falling apart and asking God WHY?? I knew we hadn't been tithing, but had convinced myself that God understood, that we were victims of circumstances beyond our control. So God gives me a dream, and you all answered, even the hard answers and after I read them I heard in my spirit, "he who knows to do good and doesn't do it, to him it is sin". It kind of meshed with that scripture from Proverbs, "there is a way that seems right to a man but the end thereof is death".
I called my husband, we discussed, prayed and repented. Please keep us in your prayers. We may be eating a lot of peanut butter and jelly for a while!!

  10. My feeling when I woke up was the same as I would feel after a family gathering like that.....just the warm, cozy, happy to be part of that bunch feel! The tithe part didn't even occur to me until it was mentioned here, and that got me thinking and praying. My husband and I have faithfully tithed for more than twenty-five years, up until the last eight months or so. His hours at work were cut ,which took a huge 35% chunk out of his take home pay. No excuses, just facts. When you have to choose to pay tithes or buy food for your children, it is a little harder to walk by faith than you realize. But we have both been grieved by the fact that we haven't been consistently paying our tithe.

  11. I dreamed last night that a lot of my family members were gathered at a restaurant. It was a great time of being together, talking and eating. Afterward I wrote a check for $10. to cover my part and handed it to someone. But then someone brought it back and said "your Dad took care of it, he paid for everyone's" In my head I figured his check had to be around $100. Then I saw my dad walking out the door, stuffing his checkbook into his pocket. Any ideas? Thank you!

  12. My husband and I resigned from ministry after 20 plus years last June. Recently we have been praying about God's leadership in our next step. We sat and talked about it in depth last night and I was concerned to hear that my husband is considering pursuing ministry in a denomination that has a doctrine that is very opposite what we believe. He is looking at the convenience of the location, the full-time, well paid position and the fact that we have friends there (who have actually encouraged him, not realizing our beliefs are that different {spirit-filled us/Holy Spirit has passed away them}). Our children attend this church for a mid-week children's program because their best friend's mom teaches it and because we live so far from the church we do attend that a mid-week service there isn't realistic at this time. But every time I take my children to that church I just want to hurry out of there as quickly as I can. The few services we have attended there has made me feel that same way times 100!! They are currently without a pastor and have asked my husband to preach a service to fill in later this month. I think he has taken it as confirmation that this is our place. I think they just can't find anyone else to fill in on a holiday weekend.
This is a really big church in our rural area, with 300 plus members. They are currently taking applications from ministers in their denomination who have the required amount of schooling from their bible schools. My husband has no degree with them, has the bare minimum degree with our own denomination and has let that lapse. I am concerned that he is building pipe dreams for what he wants and is going to be hurt and disappointed. I am also concerned that if crying he is hearing God on this, I will have to work in a church that just leaves me cringing every time i have to go there. Please pray that God will clearly reveal his plan for us, and that we will not reenter minister prematurely or in the wrong place. Thank you so much!!

  13. My dad and I were talking today and the topic of dreams and dream interpretation came up. He told me about a dream he had as a child, when he was about eight years old. He said he had never been able to forget it and has often wondered what it meant.
He said he and his mother were standing in the cemetery (in real life this is the cemetery all his family, including grandparents are buried in). He said flames began shooting out of the earth, from the graves. He was holding his mother's hand and felt much fear. She told him they had to get out of there. They ran from the cemetery, across the gravel road and up the hill. When they reached the hill they looked back and saw the flames devouring the cemetery and his mother told him they were now safe. He knew they were the only ones who had made it out.

  14. Is this dream perhaps a warning that there is someone you wouldn't suspect trying to hinder your mother's calling? We had a situation early in our ministry where a woman was telling fibs about us to promote her own husband in the ministry we were doing. When we discovered it we were surprised. She was the last person we would have suspected.

  15. I dreamed my husband and I had purchased a house. It was actually an old house, historical even, and located in the town we used to pastor in. We were painting rooms and people we used to pastor were stopping by to visit and see the progress. In one room we found a hidden closet, full of really nice toys and books and I recall thinking we could probably get a lot of money out of them on ebay or at a resell shop. Then I went outside to see the lot and was loving the fact that there were lots of flowers and old-style landscaping. I went to check the retaining wall along the sidewalk and was excited to find it built with old rock (in real life this town replaced a one-hundred year old rock retaining wall with concrete and I have thought when we drove through there that it looked really bad and clashed with the old rock walls they left in place). In the dream I was so excited to find our place still had the original rock wall out front.
    Any ideas??
