[tutorial] how to strip off the paint.......

sinclair by time you reach the 100th car...think most likely you no more finger print liao LOL HAHAHAHA....just use the one in the picture - I SWEAR BY IT!! More over...guys the paint remover, if you pour into a glass container is best - why? Cause you can re-cycle and re-use the leftover!! No joke! It won't evaporate if you use a piece of cloth to cover the tip before securing the cover at the top. This way last longer...re-use as many times, and when it gets lesser you just pour new to top up the glass container. I think Thinner is sort of a spirit, where people use to mix with other solutions like bucket of paint, varnish, to wash off paint, etc etc..it'll take you days to remove the paint entirely. hey danone....dude pls correct the pic above, showing your brush in the container!! ...DANGER!!! I advise you to leave the car in there for a little while longer like 20-30mins. Scoop it up and just simply run it thru the tap water. Now, after you've washed out most of the 'goo'...then only the brush comes in to clean the rest up ...again REMINDER! BRUSH AWAY FROM YOUR STANDING DIRECTION!!! -
Dude...can I leave the cars as is and not 'glued' back together? Tot maybe i can try changing the wheels or use the car for another custom ke ..like we can make our very own HWCM version of 'Pre-Fast & Furious 4 - Import Rulez' a spin-off by a HWCM independent Director...hahaha. Then all the cars we did for now - will be MoDDeD/tRaNsFORmeD to something else for our own FF episode *winkx2*...lol ...Pls ignore above...I went bit off HAHAHAHAAH....Mine kinda finish liao - the Chevelle la...the Chargers contemplating final decisions....F-Bomb Camaro yet to source the 'green' ....as we speak finishing up on 'Mona Lisa' Silvia S15 ...my IT guy filtered all forms/sites for image loader like photobucket and etc...freaking can't load the images...maybe will have to log on somewhere else and load it up for ya'll one day ...and how time really fly. For a while there it was weeks ago i already almost 80% done, but blink of an eye already today is the dateline! and yet not done! haha...

Coolman...think maybe you using the wrong drill bit size, and am assuming that while trying the first few times, you didn't grab the car properly or you didn't realise the 'power' of the drill .... I advise maybe invest in newer drill, or buy smaller drill bit size like for example 2.8mm - 3mm is good enough. I just use both this size, first the smaller 2.8mm to make a slight hole, deep enough so the bigger 3mm can sit nicely into the drilled hole. Once practised & perfected - you'll notice it doesn't take too much time nor energy ...regards to the EVO police car, think the aerial should be the taller ones right ...maybe cut a little from those paperclips to have the silver effect, the sirens could be mounted slightly to the front - not at middle of roof ...kudos and keep it up!!

I assume this 'Capsule' machine with mini HWs are very random. Guys i think you can find a lot of these machines around town, basically quite a lot of residential areas too. Mostly RM1...but also mostly 'crap' in them like plastic mini guns, dolls, keychains misc etc etc.... I'm kinda fond and do try my luck when I see something I like. Who cares it's just RM1..hahah...but never saw in KL or so far yet any machines with HWs in it. Well more interesting things to find when there's no new wave around town right guys ...hehehe *cham2020 YHPM!

i follow dano's idea......a pen knife and hammer..but sometimes will destroy the base... haha... thats why i told u to be xtra careful and dont knock so hard... hehehe Dude..THIS IS SOOOO WRONG!! and dangerous! Why can't you just use a drill or better try asking a mate to help you drill....don't go getting yourself in a DANGER spot! Dang...i can't believe rikmun followed your example .....tsk tsk tsk... hehe...but seriously you guys be careful...we don't want 50% of our local site Kustomisers to have lost fingers, large long scars and stitches all over

Just to chime in a little more.... Dye - Water temperature, amount of the dye used, also the amount of water determines the strength of color on the car. - Light coloured (any color) cars are the best, pearl colors even better of course (silver/white), darker toned ones may not differ much but only gets darker - You can mix 2-3 or even more to have different colors, but you must have some basic knowledge la on colors (what mix what gives what etc) - careful with your fingers, it'll turn color. Use a glove or 'tool' or anything you can use to hold the car together when taking it out. - once you use that cloth - USE IT ONLY againFOR SAME PURPOSE! IT'S POISON! DANGER!...oh also becareful of your clothings you have on, you don't want tie-dyed cloths after you made a mess LOL.... - careful of the area/surface you work on. Once few drops of dye splatters anywhere it's gonna dye that spot if not wiped immediately. So always use common sense! Tips - try looking for a container just wide enuff for the entire length of the car, maybe you wanna measure the longest car you have/like to custom. With this you can sort of gauge, the very next time you dye again. - fill water up to just above the roofline, maybe a little more if you like. - find a plastic spoon or something to gauge the amount of dye powder you use each time, as I mentioned above different amount of dye & water determines the color - so as eight mentioned - all is trial & error Links:- (there's a list you can print out - of all the colors you can mix into) - http://www.hotworldcustoms.com/ - http://www.hotworldcustoms.com/dye.htm - http://www.chojiro.com/hw/index.html (follow this link to MANY MORE fantastic sites...remember to BOOKMARK them Along the way i get some inspiration from these sites too) ...i know it's tough not having easy access to the materials or paints/colors they get in the USA, but if there's a WiLL - there's a WaY! So go and be creative - think and be on the lookout for just about anything we can recycle, reuse...Go Green!
