  1. 69 Camaro I have watched quite a lot of the "Overhaulin'" TV show where Chip Foose turns mangled rust into wet dreams, and on a few of the projects he modernized the classic muscle car rally stripes by adding some pattern to them (ghost checker flag, fire, palm fonds etc), and that inspired me to do the same to a couple of my Hotwheels cars, and this one is the first one. This is a mild custom: paint, wheelswap from a Maisto, foil for chrome and trim. This one will get a new owner, I don't know how yet, as I am donating it as a prize in a raffle. Thanks for looking.

    73 XB Falcon

73 XB Falcon One of several XB Falcons I am building to take to the 2011 Diecast Model Expo (August, Gold Coast, QLD, Australia) Seem like the right thing to build.. Aussie car for an Aussie convention. This one is done up to look like your typical 70's muscle car....... metallic brown with redline tires... doesn't get much more 70's than that. Just a mild build, paint, wheel swap and foil for the chrome trim and lights. Shown with original in last pics. Thanks for looking.
  3. 41 Willys ProStocker This 41 Willys ProStocker was my entry in a contest where the casting had to be a mainline Hotwheels 41 Willys casting. I did not intend entering the competition, but I was experimenting with a new paint finish, so I decided to try it on a 41 Willys and if it turned out ok, I could enter it in the comp. Well, I am very pleased with how it turned out, so I entered it, and it did very poorly.... ,but it did get a couple of votes. If you look closely at th pictures you will see the patterns in the paint change as the angle of the light changes......wish I could post a video of it to really show the effect. Lights, grill and wing are just lightly polished, and the blower painted with Spazstix Mirror Chrome wheel swap from a Muscle Machine. The last couple of pics show it with a standard casting. Thanks for looking.
  4. Ok.... update..... went hunting but only found 2 more MBX EVOs that I offer for trade, 1x British Police EVO 1x Italian Police EVO Please PM trade offers this weekend as the parcel will be posetd early next week. Thanks (Haven't got time to post pics, will be back tomorrow night and will post pic if required.)
  5. Yes, my "Wanted" page is up-to-date. If the yellow cards are the lowriders, that would be cool
  6. ... That's because you can't...they are RAOKs..... no trade offers accepted on them
  7. Quick update...... I am working on a couple of custom RAOKs that need to go in the parcel, I will finish them this week and the parcel will be sent to Rayz. Here in Oz Kmart will have a giant toy sale on thursday, so I will go hunting to see if they put out new MBX stock, if I find more MBX police EVOs, I will post them for trade thursday night.
  8. Picture updated. As you can see, I was offered some great EVO trades that I had to accept straight away, and the last 6 EVOs will be traded on Sunday night when I will sort all trade offers I have received (best offer gets first choice) so if you want to make an offer, please make sure to PM me before sunday night. With so many trade offers, all EVOs will be traded, so I am sorry, there will not be any EVOs left for me to offer for sale. Still have plenty of TH and Speed Machines available
  9. If some are left after trades, I can sell you one.
  10. Thank you for being my "agent" Rayz, you know I appreciate it! Maloo is a HSV modified Holden Ute.... bodykit, more power, bigger wheels, leather interior etc I'm open to offers
  11. Friends, because I am in Australia and will be posting the cars to Rayz, it will be impossible to accept more offers once the cars are packed in the parcel and in the mail, no chance for 2nd offer, so this is how I would like to run this trade: I will keep trade open till next Sunday June 5, and that night I will put all offers in order and best trade offer (such as for cars I need for my collection and loose garage cars with big + little RREx wheels (or orange Concept Camaro $TH) will get first choice, and someone offering me 1 loose pegwarmer for 3xEVO will get last choice (or no choice ) BUT..... if someone PM me a great offer I can't refuse , I will accept straight away, and I will edit pictures of what is still avaliable. Is this an OK way to run this trade? Please let me know if you see any problem with this method. Redline CDDRR, yes I am interested Corvette redline black RR5SP - interested only because it is redline.... I almost only build old style cars, and to me, black wheels look wrong on them - black wheel seems better on modern cars. Malibu black RR5SP....already have some, and I don't really use black wheels. PM me what else you may want to trade.... especially if you have cars with RREx If you have the 69 Charger from the 30 car Garage set... the blue one with the WHITE RREx.... then yes, no problem PM your offer and I'll have a look. Also..... you can offer other other cars you might think I would like to trade for..... someone has offerd MBX Holden VE SS Ute, it is hard to find here in Australia and I will consider that offer too. Thanks everyone.
  12. Trade Closed Thank you for all who responded. Ok.... soon I am sending a parcel to Rayz, and I decided to offer some cars for trade to my Malaysian brothers before putting them on eBay, then I can send everything in 1 parcel to Rayz..... so, if you want a trade, I will send the cars to Rayz, you will have to get the cars from Rayz and leave the cars for me with Rayz and some money towards shared postage to send 1 combined parcel to me. (much cheaper than everyone posting individually) Things I am looking for are: - Carded cars for my collection, the ones I need are on this page ---> OZBROZ WANTED CARS - Loose RR wheel donors for customs - cars with RREx wheels (rear wheels larger that front wheels EG. 2010 Garage 69 Charger, 70 Chevelle, VW Fastback, Ferrari 288 GTO). Also whitewall RR (any size) and redline RR or chrome 5 spoke RR (larger ones to fit Dairy and Bone Shaker... EG Tbucket, Shift Kicker, RatBomb etc) I have these for trade: Sorry - No longer available Just found this car today, so adding it to trade Nissan Skyline from 2004 5-pack - used condition, play wear and tear, photo shows condition of car. Small paint chips, tampos light wear on edges, light scratches on glass... nice condition after being in a childs toybox for 7 years. MBX EVO police Reg Treasure Hunts (Some cards have damage, will detail in PM)(5 on left are short card, rest all long card) Speed Machines and Ferrari Racers Please PM offer, and please remember, I will send cars to Rayz, so you must be able to swap cars with him, and pay share of combined postage cost to mail everyones trades to me in 1 box. Will close trade after a week or so. Thanks
  13. I guess he did a body and base swap on a hotwheels car
  14. Those wheels are definitely Hotwheels
  15. You have a really good eye for colour and graphics, it looks really good on the DD.
  16. Now that is some real nice detailing!
  17. Extreme Widebody VW Golf This car was built for the 2011 "Battle of the V-Dubs" competition at Chillis site. It barely made it into the comp due to some paint issues that had to be corrected at the last minute, I was not really worried about it making it into the comp, because...well... it's a Golf, and in the VW competitions the Beetles and Kombies are the popular vote pullers, but it did make it, and ended up getting 2nd place out of 9 entries in the "Wild" category...... I was surprised. The casting is a HW VW Golf GTI and the wide body part came from a HW Riley & Scott MK III.(both shown in the last picture) After cutting the middle out of the MKIII, I lined up the wheel openings, and was pleasently surprised to find that the door lines of both casting lined up perfectly. JB Kwik was used to bond and mould everything together, as well as build up the rear bumper and the front spoiler, all finished off with a little bondo. Big bore exhaust is polished alloy tubing, which was also used to make axle tubes for the Jada Speedracer wheels. Paint is blue and green nail polish over a silver base with the popular GTI blackout, and a little blackwash over the mesh at the front Foil was used for the lights and badges. Thanks for looking
  18. Great job on the mirrors, it makes it look really japanese (the only cars in Oz with those front mounted mirrors are imported used Japanese cars) I'd drive it....... the 240Z is one of only 5 or 6 Japanese cars I would want to own. It's going to be Treasure Hunt 12/15 this year
  19. Thanks for the nice comments guys, glad you like the car..... even though it is really 80's retro. I use a Canon Powershot A650 , I had to buy it used, because the new Canon "A" series cameras don't have all the features I want (especially the fold out LCD screen) I had different brands of digital cameras before I got a Canon and discovered the fantastic picture quality, and I have only bought Canon since.
  20. Vega Street Machine.......Welcome to the 80's This was built for an online competition where the casting had to be the Hotwheels Custom V8 Vega. Like much from the 80's, it turned out to not be very popular today, scoring a 7th place out of 11 entries. I built it to represent the cars I grew up with that shaped my interest in modifies cars.... street machines from the 80's. Inspiration came from the time when "Pro Street" was just starting to become the "hot new style", so it still has the older style 5 spoke mags, side pipes and a jacked up rear end, but a new "Pro Street" style paint job and alloy paneling in the engine bay. So... what's in it??? The hood was cut out and a new engine bay formed from alloy and a Maisto enging dropped in a new rear axle tube was installed to raise the back the body was painted yellow, decals applied for the graphics and foil for the chrome trim, headlights and taillights side pipes from a Maisto Corvette and it all sits on a new set of sparkling 5 spoke mags with real rubber tires. ...and a couple of pics showing it with the original casting. Thanks for looking
  21. Thanks for all the great feedback guys, I too am really happy with how this one turned out, so it was worth all the work that went into it.
  22. BUSINESS TIME This Gasser was my entry for the 1st quarterly competition on another board, casting had to be the Hotwheels Taildragger, one of my favorites. The Taildragger is based on a classic Gene Winfield custom of a 1941 Ford Business Coupe (which inspired the name of the car... Business Time) Although I love the classic belly scraping Ol' Skool customs, since I had already built a few low Taildraggers, I decided to do something a bit different...... a high riding straight axle gasser! So.... what's in it???.... Taildragger casting, front and rear pans reshaped to stock 1941 Ford shape, side windows reshaped and pillar added. Engine is from a MadFast with exhaust from a Passn' Gasser, extended with polished tubing, scoop is from an Airy 8, but shortened. Wheels, ladderbars and diff is from a JL Zinger Camaro, and front springs from some accessories what came with a Speed Racer car. Painted black and white with homemade decals, and foil for the chrome trim and headlights. It was a tough competition, but when the voted were counted, it won 1st place with 13 votes, closely followed by the 2nd place car with 12 votes and 3rd with 11 votes... doesn't get much closer than that. The last pics show the gasser with the original car Thanks for looking.
