WNH Top 5 #1 - Your Top 5 DC Idol Performances

Recommended Posts

Guest Guest

As we celebrate the Home's fifth birthday this week, we thought it would be fun to do some "top 5" lists. So each day this week, we will have a new top five thread. We hope you will all jump in to give your lists, and why those are your top five. Please feel free to discuss the choices here as well. This is all for fun, and there is no right or wrong. Changing your answers is also allowed, so no pressure as you answer. Wink

So welcome to our first top five thread... David's top five Idol Performances.

This is hard... I have loved most of his Idol performances. But I would go with (subject to change if I decide it, lol):

Hello
Billie Jean
Always Be My Baby
Permanent (I didn't say only performances while he was competing Razz and watching it back will still bring tears to my eyes)
The World I Know - these may not be in order, but I would say that is my number one. I still get chills just thinking about it.

No real order...
1.)Permanent (such heart touching moment, it was truly beautiful)
2.) Hello (the way he looks at the camera and the passion he sings it with..whoa baby)
3.) Living On A Prayer (his audition counts right, it's still AI. I'm a huge Jovi fan and am overly protective when it comes to them but David did the song justice.)
4.) Always Be My Baby ( never cared for the original but the way David sings it it seems more natural and so passionate..melts.)
5.) All Right Now (loooove when he puts Simon in his place, Simon's look is priceless)

My top 5 are:

Hello - 1st time I was floored by a permormance by him.
Billy Jean - This is when I knew he SHOULD win! He was far and wide above everyone else.
All I really need is You - One of my favorite performances because of the voice and how beautiful the entire song sounded
Whatever Stones song he sang when he was on the show (can't remember name)
I'm Alive

Happy Birthday WNH!!!!

My Top 5:
1. All I Really Need Is You (I just loved it! And completely agreed with Simon that he made it sound like it was written that year. It's the first quality I love about David, how he can turn a song to fit his voice & the trend.)
2. Billie Jean (I was floored, that's all.)
3. Hello (First song that made me a believer.)
4. Permanent (I only put it as #4 only because hearing the song always makes me sad.)
5. The World I Know (Because I felt like I was part of the journey, not only his, but also ours. I felt like I believed in something big. And I still feel that way, 5 years later Awww Love)

Special note: If there were any footage of ALL of 'I'll Be' during Hollywood week, that would have to be on my list.
