  1. Just double click on it Toni, so long as the chest's not open, and your pet is moving about. HTH Night again x
  2. Gosh that sounds like a really hard time Toni. Hope things are ok with you and your OH, despite the in law situation - I can empathise with that. Sending all good thoughts about the biopsy, hope it goes ok. Sorry to leave you two, I feel mean, but it's been such a busy (lovely) weekend and hot, I'm exhausted. My OH went to bed a couple of hours ago already, as he gets up so early. Toni send me a note in the game if there's anything special you think you missed, I might have some spares or stuff in the Gift Registry that you're welcome to (if you even know what you missed) There's a Gift Registry thread on here, so there's a note of the TWS things. Night Night xxx
  3. Toni, did you see the news that Chip is now married? Not sure if you remember her from the old forum thread? Marie's baby is now overdue and she's so ready I can't tell you. Mmm not too sure about any other news. We've had a glorious weekend, but it's getting toward half ten and I still need to dry my hair! The decorators will be here at quarter to eight. How're things with you? we're out of touch.
  4. Oh my goodness, Toni and Mindy - I'm almost connecting two sides of the ocean
  5. Hi Toni, just stopping by quickly (again) before bed - it's been a glorious day here, hope you had a good weekend too.

  7. Running through really, really quickly - just to say Hi. It's brilliant weather here at last, so a chance to get out and tidy up that wilderness aka our garden! Had the most fab day yesterday, lovely, wish the weekends were longer. Will read back later or tomorrow and really must do this week's list of TWS or it'll be cleared out of store before I think about it! *blush* Hope everyone's well and happy xxx
  8. Polina, it's so hard just to pick out one photo of him
  9. A great thread Josh Johnny Depp also of course. Will think about the other choices and fill them in later. Iker Casillas of Real Madrid
  10. Morning - according to the weather forecast, it's supposed to be the hottest weekend of the year. Well, it's twenty to eight and dull as ditchwater so far. We're getting the train up to London, doing some shopping, having lunch and hopefully meeting up with our girls. Am going in jeans, open sandals and a linen shirt - no umbrella .... wooo, living dangerously Have a great day everyone
  11. am needed...this having people working in the house is doing my head in I have to say. See you later - Kijo if I miss you, catch up with your sleep then!
  12. Will take a look later Kijo Bee, that's horrible. They should both acknowledge that this situation's tough for you.
  13. They're on a tight budget, so it must have been a deal Bee. Hiya Kijo, love the pic of you and Tanya together
  14. They're going Eurostar, fingers crossed it goes smoothly for them.
  15. I hope you manage to squeeze everything in to chill. And, have a great party - it'll do you good I reckon We might get to see both the girls tomorrow, just for a catch up drink somewhere. Then on Thursday night, ED is off to Paris with her boyfriend for a few days.
  16. Aaaw at least they let you know. Sounds a busy culinary weekend. Miss ED is always moaning about the Jubilee, and now the work's extended yet again isn't it - so annoying. She takes the boat when it's off and that proves very expensive! (they really should make an allowance because the disturbances are so severe)
  17. I k now The one this week (Monday or Tuesday) was in the Robertsbridge area apparently, but they closed the line all the way down from Tunbridge Wells. Aaah it was Tuesday, because Monday the train was late due to engineering works at the weekend having caused further problems that weren't sorted. There seem to be engineering works all the time now.
  18. That's so much better than battling the wind, rain and the snow! IMOM had train woes this week, however, two rail fatalities in two weeks were the cause of the delays...so being late for work kind of becomes insignificant in those circumstances.
  19. Morning Bee - isn't it. Mr F saw a funny sight on his way to work today, a taxi driver feeding a duck (outside a church) I heard him say Good Morning (we were on the phone) 'was that to the taxi driver?' I asked' No, the duck' he said 'Surely that would have been Quack Quack?' I replied sign it's Friday!!!
  20. LOL you confused me for a while there, I was thinking, oh - but tomorrow IS Saturday, and I'm out all day...but of course, you're still looking at sleeping Thursday night... no wonder I'm confused
  21. Take care Army, get some rest.
  22. It just does happen. Our family room is currently like a storage warehouse, with stuff moved out of other rooms...I look in there and I'm not sure I really want any of it any way LOL. It looks so bad in there, and it's at the front of the house, that I'm keeping the blinds down 24/7 to spare my embarrassment at it all. Trouble is, I have two more rooms that're just the same!!!!! How the heck that THAT happen?
  23. Busy life Amy, I wondered where you were. I'm dreading my next round of cleaning and moving furniture. We have to empty out our wardrobes for the decorators, and I am quaking at the thought of how much junk's just languishing in there. On the other hand, it's probably a great opportunity for a clear out
  24. Hi J-P. Sometimes the kind of confidence you want comes with age and experience, but yes, experience only comes from practice. Firstly, learn to accept that none of us say the right thing all the time - absolutely everyone gets it wrong occasionally, even world leaders, ok? Try to keep what you want to say fairly short and straight to the point in the first instance, as getting over those first sentences and letting people respond, should give you the encouragement you need. Relax, you can practice this too by learning some simple breathing exercises to steady yourself. Lots of actors and public speakers do this and it's a technique that works well - remember, a lot of people who speak well in public, are actually really anxious before they get going, it's natural. Remember when you speak, to make what you say interesting to whoever's listening, that means standing well, making eye contact, and modulating your voice so that YOU sound interested too, and not bored or scared. Don't forget to smile, smiling helps relax you too. You seem very good at expressing yourself here, so I'm quite sure you'll be able to take these simple steps, work on them, and gradually find your fears fade away quite a lot. Try typing 'public speaking breathing exercises' in to a search engine, and then take a look, there are pages of advice out there. Good luck
