Is a free download ECU tool which can be applied mainly to Triumph, KTM, Aprilia and Benelli. Bought a cable for £20 delivered, installed drivers and have just read and saved the ECU map in my Speed Triple. Interestingly, the map in there was for aftermarket high level silencers, so I guess the previous owner refitted the originals before selling but didn't restore the correct map. No doubt because the dealer did it. It also shows your VIN and serial number of the ECU, so you can double check your bike's what it says it is! You can also reset service light and fault codes, obviously check fault codes, but also synch throttle bodies, normally a dealer job. Can adjust the speedo discrepancy, TPS, all sorts of shit. Probably install the map for Arrow lowboy silencer, which is nearest I have to my Scorpion. What a toy!!

Right, well, I made it in the end. Got there Friday, bike started pissing petrol out when I tried to fire it up. Made the mistake of trying to fix it that night in a rather dimly lit underground car park, got it working OK next day, or so I thought. Long story short, the float bowls had dried out and one of the float valves had stuck, causing the fuel pump to not stop. As I rode into the mountains I realised the bike was guzzling gas, as it did all the way home. Averaged about 32 mpg and ran pretty crap especially at low speed. Seemed OK as long as I went over 90mph I've had it apart and fixed it-looks like in the gloom I'd missed a hose in the airbox which pressurises the carburettor floats, so basically it was running on pure gas!! Anyway, done the valve clearances, new plugs, air filter and coolant. Notwithstanding all that excitement, the ride to Santander was absolutely blinding-fab roads, constant sunshine, no traffic. Went via the Picos de Europa, although I wouldn't go there again. The roads are just too narrow and too much work. First night in Siguenza Then on towards Potes, in the Picos. Traffic was a bit slow in parts..... Good view at the top of the pass though. Took the coast road to Santander via Comillas and Santillana del Mar. Then at the ferry saw this-owned from new, guy is 72 now, 130,000 miles. He paid £680 for it!! Great trip, as I said personally the Picos wouldn't be my first choice for a mountain trip because of the roads. Dolomites are much nicer. Was certainly better than being at work.

....but another French ATC strike has seen to that. Hoping to fly tomorrow, Brittany Ferries have altered my return crossing at no charge, so fingers crossed. If I fly tomorrow I actually get an extra day and a half due to the change of ferry. I'm going to sail to Plymouth now, so don't leave Santander until 9 in the evening on Wednesday. With a bit of luck my ZZR and I will be back home next Thursday.
