  1. Not very likely for me chaps. Got to take wifey to hospital 2moz for an outpatient op & I figure I'll be looking after her on Friday, that is if I'm not working anyway. If shes's OK I can prob shift my work over to the weekend so never say never
  2. .......check out these babies! Chutney & soups here we come. I must get out more.......
  3. I have tried the little known Welsh saxophone
  4. Hey Rose I'm a big girl at heart. Nothing I enjoy more than making a few pots of jam with fruit from the allotment or the hedgerow. How sad is that?
  5. Can't help you there Rose but let's face it-you can't drive home without seeing one somewhere by the roadside. Roadkill......mmmmmmm
  6. Another field sports enthusiast here. Shooting & ferreting in the winter first shoot should be anytime now pheasant season has started.
  7. You still got the old Matchbox mate? Thought you only had that Bastard's Stopped Again B40.
  8. Yep can't disagree. It's just not very often that new bikes get me TBH, so I hope it does stack up in the flesh. If they still did the ZZR1400 in green I'd have sold my soul by now but that's a whole other thing.
  9. Looking at the Suzi Dave, I read a good comment somewhere. Fella observed that the new phenomenon is the "faired naked"- look at that Z1000 SX I've posted up, look at the 1250 Suzi, we could finally end up with truly useable bikes. Fairing, decent tank range, upright seating position.......wish I had some bloody money!
  10. European model with all important (for me) panniers. I'm a sucker for Candy Lime Green btw.
  11. Next bike? I'd consider a VFR800-small enough to handle, big enough to fly. And as you already know, V4s sound fab. Go for the old gear driven camshaft type, get an absolute blinder around £2.5k
  12. http://newproductlaunch.kawasaki.com/Products/Overview.aspx?productid=499&featured caught this via a US site I visit. Very nice I think, possibly a bit lacking rear seat wise for a big two up rider like me but I'd certainly go for one. Hope they release it here.
  13. Over the last week or so I've read about a crash on every bike forum I visit. When I was out yesterday I noticed how greasy the roads have started to get (I was in the boonies mind) so that, coupled with the change to daylight hours fast approaching, makes life a bit more hazardous. Those of you who put your bikes away for the winter can go back to sleep, but for us mere mortals it's time to adopt a more cautious riding style. Hate to sound like your mum, but go steady!
  14. welcome a couple of us were talking on another forum about meeting at Squires then on to Scarborough. Provisionally Nov 6th if you're interested?
  15. Yep, now available with properly managed links. I can't hack this Photobucket shit
  16. .........I had a little ride into Derbyshire. Up the M1 to J28, through Matlock & Rowsley before turning off onto the B5056 to Ashbourne. Nice little road this although a bit of slime around the limestone quarries at Longstone Before Ashbourne turn right towards Thorpe and Dovedale, and back out again. Just entered Staffordshire for about 200 yards! Back the way I came until turning right onto Via Gellia and down into Cromford. Then into Matlock Bath where I met a couple on a ZZR1200 who, like me, do big miles and don't waste half their lives polishing the chain links when they get home. For those of you from far away, Matlock Bath is a Victorian spa town most noted nowadays as THE biker haunt in Derbyshire.
  17. I didn't think the old knacker had a good side, although yes, I suppose you can't see the gaffer tape holding the left indie on! I'll take that as a compliment.
  18. Doubtful I could even afford this I'm afraid, but I've a place about 100 miles south of Barcelona so could maybe arrange riding some part of it, or put you up for the night if I can arrange being there. Campsite up the road if there happened to be too many of you. BTW I've toured France a fair bit so feel free to ask for info/advice if it's any help.
  19. My old Bonneville T140V. Taken in 1981
  20. Looks like the Elan Valley that. I was there last week. I do like that Kwak
  21. My bike at Shillingford Bridge in January.
  22. Why wait? It's only a bit over two hours I'd say. Nice ride up the Fosse & a bit of motorway, then you're as good as there.
  23. I've been promised a couple of VIP tickets by a customer I helped out, so here's hoping
  24. Yes you do have the ferry on tap-good point. Are you biking to the Netherlands? I've done Assen a couple of times, great times.
