  1. Blimey, I've just been checking a route and it's less than five miles from where I go shooting & ferreting. Looks like a steady cruise down the Fosse then.
  2. Sounds worth a go if I'm not working. I hope someone will post a reminder near the time though-I'm hopeless at organising myself
  3. At a slight tangent, Ebuyer are offering a DVD player with USB and upscaling for £24.99 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/168915
  4. City Hospital. 42 in a 30. I'm ashamed I lapsed in concentration to that degree, can't even do a speed awareness course. I've just spent 2 days slaving in a warehouse on min wage & now it's gone. At times life really does suck a fat 'un.
  5. Not me-gotta save up for my latest fine. Just received a NIP from Notts' finest
  6. Have you replaced it with the same type of m/cylinder? Sometimes you can get issues with the amount of stroke if you fit a different bore cylinder. Otherwise it has to be a bleed problem as far as I can see.
  7. Slight crossed wire-I meant the Eyetie can hide behind Ducati's likely failure by claiming "work in progress". I'm afraid I don't subscribe to the Rossi is god camp. He's just an extremely talented but nevertheless egomaniac bike racer. That's why he hates Jorge-he can see himself a few years ago, so he knows where it's going to end.
  8. Of course, when Lorenzo cleans his clock again next year he'll have the excuse of a bike being under development. Good for the media & fans (and of course merchandise) all this, but he's gonna get pasted next year.

Yeah passed that way a few times when riding the Fosse. Nice part of the world. In fact I think I stayed overnight once in Shipston, but too far back for my aged brain to recollect accurately.

Whereabouts in Warks mate? I do a bit of shooting Warwick/Leamington way. Welcome to the forum too
  11. Loitering about like that Rose, you'll get yourself a name FWIW I haven't abandoned you just been completely knacked when I get in from work and so not feeling too sociable. as Arnie famously said-"I'll be back"
  12. Seen it before but it is a true classic. Never fails to amuse. And yes, written in the 1860s I'd wager. Halcyon days of yore........
  13. I came across this thread and thought it might be food for thought for some of the lasses on the forum. I know it's US based, but the concept is perfectly transferable, Have a look & see what you think http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=631378
  14. It's a dark smoked jobby with a bracket either side where the headlamp bolts pass through. I can't remember what make it is, I just bought it to go to Assen with all my sportsbike speed freak mates to try & keep my head on my shoulders.
  15. ....off my '98 Bandit 1200. Seat's in decent nick, no rips, a few "dents" which may spring up in the next few days now I've liberated from underneath my shitpile. Base is good, doesn't have the latch plate as that's on my other seat on the bike. Good basis for a project seat or as a spare. The handlebars are stock c/w the bar end weights. No idea on price, I'm just trying to do someone a favour as much as get a few quid TBH. I'm based near J26 M1 in Notts FYI. PM me if interested. Oh yeah and I've found a dark smoke flyscreen as well. No idea what make but must be useful to someone?
  16. Lust Racing do some nice (dear) stuff. don't know about risers though Or these http://www.sportouring.com/part.php?itemGroup=2&bikeModel=Bonneville%20all
  17. Cor, they're at Witney. Used to visit a really arrogant tosser there whose name thankfully escapes me. It's a bit far for me maybe but I could do it at a pinch. Completely random now, but who remembers the Strawbs album From the Witchwood? Sorry, I'm digressing..........
  18. I just love that-a leather company based in Hyde. Priceless
  19. I wasn't-it's nice to browse around a bit just out of interest. Just nosey I guess. I obviously am aware that a fair few ladies have found their way here so thought it might be nice to gain an insight into how you do things, see if there is a discernible difference in overall approach to the "traditional " bike forum. Certainly wouldn't have got any cake recipes..........
  20. What exactly is your problem mate? I don't have any bits to lend you, but I'm obviously near you and could maybe "lend" a second set of eyes & ears. Sometimes you can't see the wood for the trees, you never know.
  21. well perhaps not exactly "mate with SV£ but this one: One of the ladies on our site has asked for advice about her bike Hi, got a wee prob with the old girl and wonderd if any1 has had anything similar? SV650 - every now & agn, cuts out unexpectedly (2nite was on a r/bout!), but does start straight away again. Has also just developed a small pinking noise (not conatant) that sounds like a radiator does wen its cooling down (but thats not it!) Any ideas? x Just wondered if she'd managed to get any further with it
  22. welcome not far either I'm off M1 at J26. Always liked the ZX9, but if I had the cash it would have to be ZX7R for me
  23. I know there's a few members on here, so can someone straighten this one out for me? Why is it women only? I sort of see the logic, but it strikes me as potentially counterconstructive. It just might be that a few fellas on there would add a different dynamic to the whole thing. At least I think it might but I don't really know as I can't view quite a bit of the content
